Anyone remember what happened to the eminent British psychologist Hans Eyesenck who was behind a study that showed blacks of African and American heritage having a mean IQ that fell short of Caucasians? Political correctness was alive and pulsing more than 50 years ago when the sky fell on his head. It seems information of this order (like this article) should not be discussed in polite society.

This book has nothing to do with Cambridge University: none of the authors work there and the only connection is that the book was published by the Cambridge University Press. This is not a study: no original research was done to substantiate the argument of high IQ of Ashkenazi Jews. This book is not about Ashkenazi Jews or IQ: this is a general discussion of eugenics, in terms of its biological, ethical and legal . The Jews/IQ point is only a snippet of the authors' discussion. On top of everything: this book was published quite some time ago. Wasn't your correspondent intelligent enough to notice it earlier?

This should make all the antisemitic people of the world real happy! As we see Charles in Canada, is so pleased about it. Muslim people make up 1 person out of every five on the planet. While Jewish people make up what, less than 1 out of 1000. Yet with that dramatic difference Muslims have about 5-6 Nobel prizes, none in Math, Science or Medicine. While the Jewish people have won 162 out of 750 awarded between 1901-2007.

Maybe knowing how to extrapolate a compliment from a book about other things, and noticing that Oxford gave it's stamp of approval, is the intellience refered to. Spatial ability isn´t a question of real intelligence, as it is mostly conducive to very non cerebral activity and mostly a learned thing. It is useless in most professions, mecnaics and such need it though. It was included later on for the sake of political correctness so that the iq´s of certain minorities might appear to be higher. Also clashing spatial and visual together is based on a misconception. A great engineer can be devoid of any real appreciation of beauty or originality, and a genius of an artist can have very limited spatial ability none the less. So, if the tests where fair, the results would be much greater for the jews. Perhaps there are even hidden benefits in less spatial ability.

I'm 3/4 vuzvuz ala Vilna and 1/4 Dutch Sephardi, I got an IQ of 20/20 and can count to 20 with my shoes off. Shevuach tov to you, hamuda!
