91. Contemplate the possibility ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.17.11)
... that Israel has no interest in strengthening ties with Turkey. Can we now read the extensive condemnation of Turkey in the Palmer Report?
92. Anton #30
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (08.17.11)
Israel is not as alone as you think and Turkey is not as strong as you think in world diplomacy (maybe a little in military but after what happened recently and considering the dependency on foreign arms I also doubt that). Turkey's main allies recently has been Syria, Sudan, Libya, Lebanon, (Hezbollah - Hamas) Iran and business connections China, Arab countries, Russia and even Israel. You see how those alliances are collapsing. Today the Turko / Syrian relations are again tense, in Libya Turkish military is taking part on the operations against Khaddafi etc. Davutoglu's 0 problem policy is failing on one side while the relations with the west (EU and USA also are not great anymore). This can be explained as a LOSE LOSE situation for Turkey.
93. IHH terrorists want an aplogy after their attempted murder
2 faced Obama ,   DC US   (08.17.11)
of Israelis, and yes stabbing in the chest and throwing, skull first, people 30 feet down is attmepted murder. the fact that there is ample evidence that this was premeditated shouldnt be lost on anyone. Nor should erdogans governemt's support of the IHH which was once listed as a terrorist group by the nations of the EU. Maybe they should reapply for that status. shame on you hussein obama and clinton for pushing Israel thus. Your foreign policy will imporve when you arent two faced with your friends and gracious to your enemies. saudi arabia and your other allies think you are fools for all your dialgoue and appeasment with the mullachracy in iran, the bastards in assads camp in syria, and for kicking mubarak to the dust.... how fitting obama spoke in cairo at the beginning of his presidency and then within 2 years he cut off egypts head. meanwhile iran is mad for nukes and obama is printing up his ncaa tourney brackets.
94. OK, here's an apology. Ready?
Sue Lipman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (08.17.11)
Dear Mr. Erdogan. We wholeheartedly apologize for missing the other 67 of your state sponsored terrorists who tried to kill our soldiers (documented on YouTube if you'd like to re-run the videos). Next time, we'll bring our Olympic sharpshooters when we jump your boats. Love and kisses, Bibi
95. Don't apologize to Turkey
Daniela   (08.17.11)
96. Obama is a crypto-Muslim
David ,   NJUSA   (08.17.11)
97. Apology encourages more Islamic terrorism against Israel
Turkey must apologiz   (08.17.11)
Turkey must apologize to Israel for sending its Islamist terrorists to Israel and helping Iraninan-backed Hamas war-mongers. Soon Hamas and Hizbollah will be left without their Syrian help. and Syrian people will be angery at Turkey for backing Assad. Turkey's prime minister is not defending Syrian people against Assad terrorists who are killing thousands and bombing people. instead it is defending Assad and the bloodshed against Syrian people.
98. It seems Erdogan got too much money from Iran's Islamists
to fight Israel!   (08.17.11)
99. Jews/Other Non-Muslims Must Have Human Right to Self Defense
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (08.17.11)
US leaders/Clinton/Obama are enraged that Jews defended themselves against violent, knife stabbing Muslim terrorists on board the jihadi Marmara flotilla boat. Obama and Clinton want hated Jewish infidels and other hated non-Muslims to submit, and ALLOW themselves to be maimed and murdered by Muslim terrorists. U.S. leaders are despicable.
100. Apologize to Islamist leadership
usa   (08.17.11)
for Islamist policies. Zero problems with neighbors policy, unless they are Jews. This is Turkey.
101. BDS #40
James ,   Tel Aviv   (08.17.11)
Yeah.. we have seen Nato in action in Libya.... what a joke.
102. Apology to the Turks....a joke!
Spencer ,   Israel   (08.17.11)
President Barak HUSSEIN Obama has more that just chutzpah in requestiog Israel to issue an apology to Turkey. He and his Administration (who hopefully will soon be a part of history) have a bloody cheek to even suggest that Israel issue an apology to Turkey. Well done Bibi Netanyahu on telling this anti Israel administration exactly where they can get off. I am proud of you and always have been.
103. WHY WOULD ISRAEL DO THAT??????
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.17.11)
But why would Israel apologize? Most International experts in Law have stated that Israel's blockade, and the enforcement of the blockade, was entirely legal. The Palmer report will state the same thing, it will put the majority of the blame on Turkey and the Terrorists. Why do you think Turkey is trying to block the report? It will prove that Israel certainly doesn't owe anybody an apology. With overwhelming video evidence to prove Israel's case. Any neutral party who has seen the video's from the ship (that the terrorists forgot to dismantle) plus the IDF video's, it leaves no room for doubt. It completely exonerates Israel. This was a well planned, premeditated attack on the IDF.
104. turkey should apologize
rachel ,   usa   (08.17.11)
105. Obama & Clinton are bankrupt of sound foreign policies.
(08.17.11)
106. APOLOGY????
les ,   canada   (08.17.11)
thank you mr prime minister for making clear to those terrorists and murderers, what 99% of us made clear to you. NO APOLOGY! not under current or any future situation should israel lower itself to appease those who wants to exterminate the jewish people.
107. Obama & Hillary....
Shalom, ,   U.S.A.   (08.17.11)
Diplomatic relations wont improve between Israel and Turkey and they know it. They just want to humiliate the jewish country. Vicious antisemites!
108. No:9 Sarah
Selim ,   Istanbul   (08.17.11)
My advise to Sarah who is clearly one of those keyboard spartacuses as we call in Turkey; go to supermarket buy turkey prepare it and put in the oven you might vaporize it if you overcook it !
109. LOOOOOONG OVERDUE
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.17.11)
It's about time Israel stood firm on something. For too long Israel has been too easy to push around. Time for a change ! Stop being the nation of pushovers and fight back !
110. The Majical Misery Tour
pasquinel   (08.17.11)
Oh what fun.
111. Failed White House Leadership!
max ,   washington dc   (08.17.11)
Instead of condemning Turkey for allowing the Turkish "activists" for trying to breach the lawful blockade of Gaza nor condemning the continuous attacks from the Terrorist Hamas Gang, this failed White House Administration condemns Israel for building homes and demands Israel apologize to Turkey for the deaths of their terrorist supporting "activists" who attacked IDF soldiers. aboard the Marma. The overwhelming support Israel receives in the US Congress reflects to overwhelming support of Israel by the American People. The 2012 elections will bring a welcome change and renewed support of Israel from the Executive Branch.
112. Say no to Turkey's resurfacing Ottoman Tendencies
Anton Orde ,   Lagos   (08.17.11)
It is clear that that government supported and encouraged the actions of the Turkish terror group involved. But we can't let the bullyboy Erdogan use Israel as a scapegoat for his problems with the Turkish military, with the oppressed Kurds, occupied Cyprian territory, Armenia, Bulgaria - and of course Syria and Iran. Their sorcerous form of political spin will soon be exposed: you cannot wish away age-old antipathies with people you have oppressed by simply stating: "we have a zero problem with neighbors policy". Turkey - you currently have a problem with every neighbor!
113. Obama & Clinton are bankrupt of sound foreign policies.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (08.17.11)
It is clear to me that Obama is a mouthpiece for others bigger than himself. He is a fullabull Chicago hood who can use oratory to deliver the ideas that others think up. Of himself, he is just a shallow man. He operates by gestures of appeasement to the Arab world - eg bowing to the Saudi king, apologising for US past policies and generally reducing the US' status on the world stage. His foreign policy is subjugation to the Islamic Arabs and bullying Israel. He complies with the Arab narrative that Israel is always at fault and coerces, intimidates, blackmails, bullies and forces Israel to make all kinds of ridiculous appeasing gestures to them because that is all he knows. It does not matter if Israel is right or wrong, as long as as the Islamists are elevated and Israel is diminished. He smooths the way for the development of the Islamic caliphate by endorsing the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in the ME, praising non-existent "moderate" muslims, removing muslim "terrorists" from the US vocabulary, allowing Sharia law to creep into the US justice system and vociferously endorsing the Ground Zero mega-mosque. Now Obama says that good relations between the US and Turkey depends on good relations between Israel and Turkey so instead of demanding those good relations from Turkey, he and Clinton are demanding that Israel hand it to them on a platter, never mind that Turkey should be apologising. Obama has no principles whatsoever and Hilary is just plain asanine. They are setting the stage for ruin.
114. When is the United States ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.17.11)
... planning to apologize to Pakistan for killing bin Laden (may his name be cursed throughout eternity) on Pakistani soil? That has a much, MUCH better chance of happening than waiting for Israel to apologize to Turkey for killing nine terrorist thugs sent by the Turkish government to foment trouble aboard the MAVI MARMARA. LOL! As if! Turkey is a toothless, clawless -- and clueless -- badly limping old tiger. With mange.
115. Carried away
Michael Pielet ,   Boca, Usa   (08.17.11)
Sara, please tone down the rhetoric. Israel wants peaceful relations with all countries. Threats do no work and are counterproductive. We want good relations with Turkey based upon mutual respect. Israel has the right of self defense and g-d bless our soldiers.
116. Turks referring to NATO "alliance" LOL!
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.17.11)
What NATO alliance are you Turks babbling about? NATO is falling apart. France, United Kingdom, Germany and other European states are disarming themselves and dismantling their military capabilities. In essence, there are only two NATO players of significance: USA and Turkey. USA has nukes. Turkey does not. Israel has nukes, and as I said - Turkey has no nukes. Dear Turks: you are not in a position to "demand" anything. But "poof" will happen in Istanbul and Ankara if Turkey provokes Israel. Turkey "demands" and we just get headache from Turkish genocidal imperialists that have killed Kurds and Armenians. Apologize to Israel. Apologize to Kurds and Armenians. Apologize to Turkey? Yeah right. Apologize for what? Your Turkish "freedom fighters" nearly lynched our soldiers as pictures prove. Israel should have fired missiles at the ships and Israel should have opened fire at anything that moves on board and send more Turkish terrorists to their creator.
117. #19 = obvious concern troll
Josh ,   New York, NY   (08.17.11)
Anyone who attacks armed, uniformed men with a club or a knife can reasonably expect a lethal response.
118. Apology
Zorro ,   Far Away   (08.17.11)
Israel SHOULD apologize. It conducted the mission terribly. It could have avoided the casualties. Just apologize, it's not that hard.
119. Obama: Please please just apologize to the ottoman before he
Anton Orde ,   Lagos   (08.17.11)
so that he can help invade syria on humanitarian grounds to accidentally genocidally eradicate its kurds! Bibi: No! Caliph Erdogan: I heard that, I'm not coming out my tent!!!
120. Way to GO Bibi
Michael ,   Tennessee, USA   (08.17.11)
Stick to your guns man, if that bunch was shooting at Obama, he sure would protect himself !
