Don't you have to investigate what happened before there is the possibility of an apology. We don't know who killed the Egyptian officers and how the terrorists obtained Egyptian uniforms. In addition, a joint investigation with the Egyptians must take place to determine how the terrorists entered the border.

Does Egypt think that it's worth $2.8 billion per year, because that is what the US gives them to spend anywhere in the world on military equipment. This misses the point completely. Internal Egyptian pressures are in conflict with the Egyptian need for American financial, military support. If Israeli troops accidentally killed Egyptians, then the thing to do is say "We're sorry we accidentally killed Egyptians. We didn't do it on purpose, and we're sorry it happened."
