61. A dictator in 'bloom'
Sal   (09.13.11)
You Erdogan, imbecile, isn't the job of a head of state to be ready for any scenario?.Any yes, but no act of piracy and murder as the Palmer commission finds you guilty with such great nonchalence; and a mixed and changing tune every monday and tuesday. When was the last time you were seen by your ' shrink '
62. Anti-Semtism..
Yitzhak ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
I see he's trying his hand at the Livingstone Manœuvre. It didn't work for George Galloway, and it's not going to work for Turkey.
63. a voice of reason
Mr.Oddjob ,   Japan   (09.13.11)
tx nero.
64. Apologizing to
David H. Stern ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.13.11)
65. Apologizing to Turkey?
Dr. David H Stern ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.13.11)
Prime Minister Netanyahu has indicated he has "regret" that 9 people were killed in the Mavi Marmara boarding. But he won't "apologize." That's because technical diplomatic language has meanings and implications of the same words when used in everyday exchanges. I don't know exactly what these differences are, but apparently an "apology" would imply that the boarding was wrong, which it was not; rather, its (successful) object was to prevent an illegal breaking of our legal blockade of Gaza. So we "regret" the deaths but do not "apologize" for the boarding.
66. Turkey's agenda is being okd under the table by the US admin
Ahmad ,   Jerusalem   (09.13.11)
I guess, Obama had no choice but to push Israel in the corner. Abbas UN's move and Ordogan move had to have US's admin support. Obama is getting no where with ultra right wing Lieberman netnyahu. Obama for sure would lose in next election, so having Turkey and Abbas pushing Israel would put more pressure and he would say I am trying to save Israel from itself why? The US finally realized after the Bush's crazy wars and the support for Israeli will slowly bring the US down
67. @37 - international waters
revenger ,   North, Norway   (09.13.11)
Yes, Turkey has the right to maintain freedom of navigation for her ships in international waters. No, Turkey do not have a right to protect the merchant ships which have intention to break a legally established naval blockade with their navy ships. Naval blockade is not limited to 12miles of the territorial waters, but extend to international waters too - according to San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea, 12 June 1994. Trying to break through such blockade with armed ships is a intentionally created casus belli. Erdogan indeed know that. All the talk about international waters in regard to the naval blockade is just a try of misleading.
68. Ofcourse Erdogan
Elana ,   Israel   (09.13.11)
Erdogan says: Israel refused to listen to voices of reason from the west, which called it to apologize to Turkey for the killing of its sons". If my sons were terrorists, I would bury my head in shame. So should Erdogan - his so called sons, were IHH terrorists and he is proud and defends them, as he does Hamas, Iran and Syria. Shame on you Turkey and Erdogan - look in the mirror and see your crimes and ask your Allah for forgiveness for the sin of pride.
69. "Turkish Navy Destroyed. Israel Annexes the Sinai"
Gobbo   (09.13.11)
Just a couple of headlines we'll be reading soon...
70. Turkish honour
Ehai ,   London, England   (09.13.11)
Erdogan is probably the most stupid prime minister Turkey has had. He talks about Turkish honour! But he wants to ship aid to Gaza without first getting Hamas to publicly proclaim Israel's right to exist. Where does his Turkish honour stand? All he wants is a populist vote at home......... more Turkish honour! Hw wants to do business with Egypt and Libya too. He is a snivelling little piece of salami.

sinan1915 ,   istanbul turkey   (09.13.11)
you will see it in your dream..so funny
73. This moron just looking for war.
Yoav ,   Germany   (09.13.11)
I have predicted the situation already in 2003 and my friends told me: you are wrong the Turkey is our friend and ally. 8 years later we all see, what kind of "friend" Turkey really is. Every day Turkey show it´s ugly face and do everything to provoke Israel. Turkey seek war with Israel. The reasons for that are really good. U.S.A. with Obama is weak and they have a lot of their internal problems. EU is also in deep crisis with their currencies and they much care about their economy. I´am very "suprised" that no EU country urged Turkey because of their agression acts against Jewish State. Istael should be prepared for war. Certanly Turkey is big country, but we all know the story with David and Goliath
74. this person you call a leader has led
Barney ,   USA   (09.13.11)
his country away from the civility of the western world and is prepared for anything-especially dredging his warships off the bottom of the ocean.
75. The Turks will have to get used to a new word
Gobbo   (09.13.11)
"Kurdistan"
76. STRUMA. STRUMA, STRUMA
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (09.13.11)
In the 2. talkback somebody mentioned the fate of refugee ship Struma. I also did so earlier many times. But no articles in israeli press, no official political declaration about it. It is a serious propaganda mistake. It should be repeated day and night, that the turkish state killed mercilessly 800 jewish refugees in 1942, with the active help of the british and the so called palestinian arabs. Maybe mr Erdogan should understand then, that he has right to complaint in the Marmara case only after 790 more turkish citizens are killed by Israel.
77. sinan 1915
israeli ,   israel   (09.13.11)
Oh, you are so high and mighty. Get off your horse and remember Vlad the Impaler (Tepes) and also Michael the Brave, the battle of Calugareni, 1595.
78. Erdogan will have his hands full if he starts a war
Gobbo   (09.13.11)
The Turks have a large military, but it won't just be fighting the Israeli forces. The Turks will have to divide their strength in order to deal with other foes who hate their guts, like the Kurds, the Greeks, the Armenians, etc. Israel will arm them and make sure Mr. Erdogan has his hands full.
79. we will see
sam42 ,   TURKEY   (09.13.11)
we will see who is talking in vain and who will walk on that way , greece just busy with your own economy , no use to talk about these things , and wait your turn ,we will be back of you too soon
80. #36 "My Hero" Erdogan
Martin ,   NY   (09.13.11)
A pathetic comment from a country best known for drinking poisoned Kool Aid..What a great joke..
81. Erdogan dreeming of old and new colonies
Moshe ,   Netanya   (09.13.11)
Old: ottoman empire. New: Libya and Tunis. Dictators are never satisfied. If Hitler had never started the war, he would had been the biggest German. But he is Hitler-nothing more, nothing less.
82. No 71
Vlad Tepes ,   Constantinopolis;   (09.13.11)
Sinan.. Learn the language before you start bashing on others.. and learn the history before you start with verbal diarrhea... Yes, you were in Balkans for a long time, and yes, you left a mark.. And since you're gone, sheep and goats are lonely..
83. to #1, will nato be around soon?
zico ,   brazil   (09.13.11)
with the major european countries running out of money. it makes sense for turkey to make friends with rich countries like china, saudi arabia and iran and leave nato for good. with the financial mess in europe, it is a matter of time before nato turns into russia of the late 80s
84. turkey to threaten war on israel-goliat tried sometime ago
feridun ,   somewhere in the med   (09.13.11)
the men (plural intended) thive on bluffing .i tworks on moslem masses (anything slalndering israel works with those) but it really is surprising that Europe and/or US keep queit .... is tiny Irael the one who will eventualy call their bluff. that's when we shall tell the saff from the grain. this is not ATATURKs turkey gentlemen, this unfotunately a Turkey run by bluffers and usurpers
85. # 79 sam42
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (09.13.11)
Please step down from your arrogance horse.Study history and be more wise. The only field that turkish army is relatively good is groung forces. Air and Navy were never your strongholds. In case you mix them, the outcome will be disaster, as when THK met with TDK out of Cyprus during 22/7/1974, when "Kocatede" was sunk, "Adatepe" and "Maresal Fevsi Cakmac" badly injured, not to mention 5 F-100 shot down due to friendly fire. Iyi gezeler...
