2. Now is the time...
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (09.19.11)
...for us, Israel, to show our loyalty to friends. Our navy should be helping Cyprus patrol it's waters. Let turkey gobble as much as it wants. If Turkey starts a regional war, it's military and navy will be obliterated, and totally isolated int'lly.
3. Now Turkey cant back down without loosing its Face !.
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.19.11)
So head on somwhere and somehow ?. Arn.Sweden.
4. It is interesting, how long it will take to the West to
Oleg ,   USA   (09.19.11)
realize, that Turkey with this stinky government is not a friend and it is doing enything possible to become an enemy? It would be best for the world if Turkey will freeze all ties with EU and especially with NATO.
5. SPANK THESE GUYS, GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.19.11)
What's up with guys anyway? Talk about arrogant bullies who think they can do whatever they want? Turkey has the gall to make remarks about Israel? Give me a break! This what happens when you let Turkey, who were completely in the wrong with the flotilla, but because of some political aim, let them pretend they were in the right. You've created a monster now, that's running around, telling everybody in the region what can, and cannot do, it's crazy. Turkey is now isolated among the nations. With their only friends being terrorists. So now we have Turkey, Iran maybe Egypt (but I doubt it), getting ready to flex their muscles and start a war. This is the second time in two weeks Turkey has threatened to use it's navy. How much more is the world going to stand for? First they threaten Israel, now Greek Cyprus?
6. Dont worry Cyprus...Israel has your back!
Jayjay ,   Israel   (09.19.11)
Erdogan can go to hell! I am surprised that NATO hasnt kicked Turkey out yet!
7. Turkey's contradictory position
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (09.19.11)
If I understand it properly, the Turkish government is in the camp of those who claim that Israel has no right to territory that it occupied in war.Yet here we have the same Turkish government claiming the maritime rights of a territory that it gained by war.Note,by aggressive war,not defensive war,as in Israel's case. This Turkish government wants everything both ways and always to its own advantage. It's become an old fashioned imperialist menace. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
8. The aggressor is the one who makes conflict inevitable.
Stephen in New York   (09.19.11)
Erdogan doesn’t leave much room to back down. Conflict seems inevitable. The aggressor is the one who makes conflict inevitable.
9. Diarrhea of the mouth
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.19.11)
Doesn't he know when to shut up? Erdogen wants a war to divert attention from the fact his economy is about to implode. Russia has sent two nuclear subs to prevent Turkey from interfering in Cyprus waters. NATO will be forced to respond as well. Then there is our response. Turkey is just itching for a fight and they will get one soon.
10. Turkey on coalission course with all the (civilized)world
tiki ,   belgium   (09.19.11)
Here is the reason for the musle flexing about the "dead terrorists"..., OIL! Turkey needed a peg, a reason to send in his Navy to claim the Cypriot oil fields as his. The dead terrorists provided this patriotic act for him.
11. Erdogan thinks he is....
Ivan ,   South Africa   (09.19.11)
the new strong boy in the neighbourhood, we see him as a snot nose bully.
12. "Turkey's frigates, gunboats and its air force"
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (09.19.11)
Some would call that a target rich environment. Someone should remind Erdogan that the US will do more than simply declare its displeasure if a platform owned by an American company is attacked. (Ever hear of the Sixth Fleet?) What more will it take to get Turkey kicked out of NATO?
13. Mental Health Aid for Turkey
Alfredo ,   Raanana, Israel   (09.19.11)
... that and give Erdogan enough rope to hang himself with
14. LOL!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.19.11)
Turkey is having difficulties understanding that it has absolutely no right to the natural gas fields. Hence all the chest-thumping. Doesn't change the facts in play, but it does seem to have some value as a diversionary ploy to prevent the citizens of Turkey from realizing just how dire are their economic straits. Pass the popcorn. Should be fun.
15. Get it on!
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (09.19.11)
The divers need new Turkish reefs in the Mediterranean.
16. Cyprus
Ata   (09.19.11)
A child that behaves childish is ok. A country that threats other nations is no longer able to stay in Nato nor in the civilized world. Anatolia is waiting.
17. game end

19. Turkey out !! Israel, Cyprus: the best!
Enrique ,   Galicia-Spain   (09.19.11)
Kick these clowns out of Nato, EU membership bid, and wait for Israel and the whole west to kick you in... Mazal Tov Eretz, Cyprus ...from Sefarad !!!
20. mr erdogan, jump up in the three again..
Beary White ,   Norway   (09.19.11)
..you are making a lot of trouble to the world when you continue speaking shit while being on the ground. Climb up in the three where amhadinejad is waiting for you...
21. That's surely Netanyahu's fault too?!
Mark ,   Maale Adumim, Israel   (09.19.11)
Just wondering whether Livni, NUT, etc pack will also put the blame of that development on Netanyahu.
22. Now is the time to teach an old er-dog-an
jason white ,   afula, israel   (09.19.11)
a new trick. Send his fleet down to check his sea floor and knock his air force out of the sky. Perhaps with no air force attacking them, the Kurds can kick more turkey ass.
23. Ankara's position:
(09.19.11)
natural resources belong to both communities.also be benefiting both the community.before the negotiations concluded between the two communities and after the drilling.so the EU can not say anything to Turkey.reasonable and justified...
24. Turkey Trot
Deb ,   Washington DC   (09.19.11)
When will the Turkish military take action to boot this boob out?
25. Erdogan is Destroying Turkey's Future
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   US-ISRAEL   (09.19.11)
His behavior is like a wild animal: he has now threatened 3 sovereign nations with military action: Syria, Cyprus and Israel: who the hell does this man think he is? This is just like sadaam and will likely end the same way. Now he's threatening the EU? This guy is a madman and turkey is being HUMILIATED by his recklessness! Doesn't this guy get it? He doesn't have the military power (regardless of it's size: remember sadaams army was the 4th largest in the world---look how that turned out). NATO has to censure and suspend Turkey NOW before erdogan does even more damage. This is ridiculous!!!
26. Unnamed #23
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.19.11)
But Turkey has invaded, ethnically cleansed the natives and then imported their colonists to Cyprus, which nobody accepts. Turkey has absolutely not one single claim, especially considering the gas is off the SOUTHERN coast of Cyprus.
27. erdogans killer instinct, a dangerous man..
Beary White ,   Norway   (09.19.11)
Erdogan threathens Cyprus!!! Erdogan is the crazy thing who told Prime Minister Peres "You (Jews) know well how to kill". Then, I will just read the summary from an article; " Some 11 million muslims have been violently killed since 1948. 35 000 has been killed in the wars that the arabs has put on Israel. This means 1 of 315 was killed in wars against Israel". So sure, mr Erdogan should know who is the killer, he himself is part of the horror show, more than 40 000 kurds have been killed by the turks since 1984... erdogan, climb up in the three, you belong there..
28. Th Sick Man of Europe
Holtzmueller ,   US   (09.19.11)
Any dealings with this Ottoman scum should be through forceful return of Constantinopol to Ellas. Ottoman scum removed, of course.
29. thats the triple crown, threatening israel, the eu and cypru

Erdogen is so out of control that he thinks he is invulnerable... this guy is headed for a big fall .. he didnt get the isareli apology and he is about to misplay a big card in europe and piss everyone off .... can hardly wait, all these guys go down sooner or later
30. To: No. 23
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.19.11)
Well, Ankara's position doesn't much matter since they did not make the discovery. International law is very clear: the discovery belongs to the country that made it. Israel made the discovery. Israel is choosing to share with Cyprus, because Cyprus has been a friend to Israel. Israel chooses NOT to share with Lebanon and Turkey. Too bad for Lebanon and Turkey. That's how it works, idiot child. Too bad for Turkey, eh? Especially in light of the fact that Turkey is about to get bounced out of NATO and the Turkish economy is circling the bowl. The Turks made their bed. Now they have to lie in it. Hope they have a fondness for mullahs ....
