Obama made a speech thanking various nations of the world for helping to deal with the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti. He mentioned several nations by name, but not Israel. Israel, by all reports, got there quickest, and set up the most effective field hospital! Is this not worthy of mention, or does Obama hate Israel?

If Obama has been showing tough love to Israel for the past three years through all the hostility he has shown then I would hate to think what he would do if he just wanted to be tough but without the love. If Obama is so big on tough love why did he never once make any effort to force Abbas to talk. Obama has been in love with Abbas and the rest of the islamic world since day one and desperate to create a palestinian state but the man never once told Abbas to stop acting a fool and sit and talk so he could help him. Seeing as Israel is the largest recipient of US aid, it is hardly unreasonable to accept that US Administrations will try to influence policy. And maybe you should be a bit more grateful. It doesn't mean they are anti-Israel--Obama, as he is showing with the veto threat even though it will damage US interests in the region, is NOT anti-Israel. He is however, trying to advance the peace process, which is harmed by things like continuing the settlements, which is hands down a stupid policy. Israel should take some constructive advice from it's biggest friend, instead of acting like it is entitled to do whatever it wants, and yet receive unwavering support. We support you, we support Israel, but that doesn't mean we cede all right to disagree with your government and administrations on specific policy.
