1. Why did the police try to cover it up??
Jayjay ,   Israel   (09.25.11)
There needs to be an investigation about this. Seems it was very obvious that a rock was thrown. Too many time, the Police cover up the Arabs crimes.
2. How much compensation...
A ,   Belgium   (09.25.11)
will the PA terrorists be forced to pay for this young father and his bany sons lives? How many millions are their lives worth? In fact, I would say, the PA doesn't have to pay compensation. Their funding from Israel should be stopped immediatly, because no price can be put on a Jewish life.
3. Why they hide the truth
Marcel ,   Florida   (09.25.11)
Why would the IDF be protecting Palestinian terrorists and tearing down Jewish homes and never Arab homes ? Because the faithless and godless grasshoppers who rule Israel serve their idol instead of HaShem, their false god on no-peace and his Road Map to hell. Ehud Barak,Shimon Peres,Elazer Stern are dangerous to Israel's existence.
4. rabbi is correct, goldstone wrong
alexi   (09.25.11)
hamas and fatah terror do not operate from innocents. The masses give them aid and comfort all the time. israel should not worry about collateral damage. israeli governments have been terribly remiss in not advancing ancestral israeli claim to judea and samaria and rights of 700,000 jews who were kicked out of arab lands, dispossessed of their assets.
5. He's right
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (09.25.11)
there are not innocents invaders.
6. Initial report was filed by IDF. Subsequent
Miron ,   USA   (09.25.11)
reversal was done after great deal of effort by family. Coroner initially denied autopsy to the family request and required court order to perform one. There is a concerted cover up attempted by authorities.
7. Can a Jew
LION OF JUDAH   (09.25.11)
do the same thing in Arab lands? Why we are allowiung the Arabs to do whatever they want in our Country. This stone throwing business by the ARABS MUST BE STOPPED NOW.
8. #5
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (09.25.11)
The world will be a better place if there is not AntiSemitic people like you.
9. Lies and half truths, shame on you
m   (09.25.11)
The only thing coming out is the castigation of a rabbi. No terrorists attack on a father and baby, no stone found in the car, no revolver missing from the killed man, no cover up by police, no rules that army not respond to attacks. The future is bleak, no defense for Jews, even from their own army and police.
10. So is this "rabbi" saying
Daniel ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.25.11)
that Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians are justified? If the Palestinians are at war with Israel, "there are no innocents" for their side as well. By his OWN words, this "rabbi" is a war criminal.
11. collective punishment/ responsibility
yoni ,   tel aviv   (09.25.11)
There is a concept called collective responsibility that is very real. If you are a part of a society and that society is doing something you are held responsible just as you benefit when the society is doing good. We should do away with nonJewish philosophy and adopt our own law as the law of the land. collective punishment is real and is effective. It must be done properly but it must be done to end this dire situation and save our brothers lives
12. @4
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (09.25.11)
When you say collateral damage, you mean 'don't worry about innocent civilians?'. Well, that disqualifies you as a person. Israel has always made a point about avoiding hurting innocents, because that's the jewish way. Furthermore, please refrain from defending Israel's right to exist from a biblical point of view, because this is simply not a valid way of reasoning in modern politics. Israel is a vibrant democracy, in which every citizen, jew or arab, and every tourist for that matter, is protected by the rule of law. Israel is the only counry in the entire region that can advance such a claim. That's a much better defence.
13. Are you kidding me?
Adam ,   Israel   (09.25.11)
He's no better than Anwar al-Awlaki or any other radical fundamentalist religious figure calling for violence. We're suppose to be above this. Forget losing my faith in Bibi. Stuff like this makes me lose my faith in my own people. What happened is a tragedy but should be dealt with in the normal legal channels. Instead of seeing it as weakness we should see it as a point of pride that we don't resort to violence against civillians or terrorist activities. Let the army deal with it, I think they'll do a better job of handling the terrorist than a bunch of trigger happy extremist settlers can.
14. To #13. Where is the outrage? Where are violent demos?
Hanoch   (09.26.11)
Police - you say? There are hundreds if not thousands of Arabs who engage in this kind of attacks on the Jewish drivers. They have all the motivation and the chances of being apprehended are extremely low. So how are you going to stop them? Post IDF soldiers all along every road? Obviously not. Are you going to fold and run? That's what the Arabs count on. That's what lefties want. The only problem is, once you start running they will chase you all the way to and from Tel Aviv. The only option is to mete such a severe punishment that the Arabs would not dare to even think of doing anything as crazy as attacking a Jew. Think of it: they keep accusing us of brutality and cruelty for no good reason. I say, let's give them a good reason.
15. #5 Correct. All arabs must go back to their own countries
(09.26.11)
...and get the hell out of Israel.
16. #13 Unfortunately Adam. Your pinky view of the world will
(09.26.11)
...kill you and your country. In reality soft options and approaches dont work with savages that dont play by your standards. I applaud you for your humanity - but sorry, it doesnt work.
17. We have two lots of extremists one each side
exUK ,   Tel Aviv   (09.26.11)
Each side must control its own people. We do not want to inflame the situation, because of one incident, however tragic, and we dont know details.Remember world war one was started by one guy being killed. I believe that our extremist settlers probably are potentially more irresponsible as a group and inflame the Arab population. If there is ever going to be peace in this area, the settlers had better get used to expecting to be living on the other side of the line. This is for the common good of Israel and its neighbours.Otherwise we will be surroundsed(now that dictators have gone) by like minded people who are losing patience with us,as is the rest of the world. We must agree to stop building settlements .They must recognise the Jewish state. We must stress that we absorbed (on our tiny land) hundreds of thousands of Jews from all Arab lands,so they must absorb their people on their future state.(In other words,no right of return.) I truly believe that this will be a last chance for compromised peace before major catastrophe. We are risking our destruction from within and without.
18. Gabriel # 12
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (09.26.11)
In world war 2 we carpet bombed many cities. Many good people died as a result along with many bad people. It needed to be done. The people elected Hitler, they chose him. They ran the factories that built the guns. They raised the children that became the soldiers. That is a sad fact of life and the way war is. When a people choose to make war or elect leaders that do so then every person is a soldier at least in part. # 4 is correct even though it seems harsh. Trying to fight a war and being to nice loses wars. As far as your view of the Biblical point of view goes, it would be interesting to watch you explain to God why he is wrong and no longer relevant in this so called modern world.
19. Netanyahou and Barak protect Abbas not the Jews
(09.26.11)
20. time to change the govt to an israeli govt
bernard ross ,   st anns bay, jamaica   (09.26.11)
21. No innocents in war
Rachel   (09.25.11)
The other side uses this excuse to target and murder Israeli babies. As justified as our anger maybe we as Jews should never stoop to their level. The heart of the Law is mercy.
22. To #10. Sorry to break it to you, Daniel, but yes,
Hanoch   (09.26.11)
this is war. And at war you fight to win. The problem is that Israel refuses to win. The stalemate is killing us. While Arabs do everything in their power to destroy us we are fighting with one hand tied behind our back. It is just prolonging the agony for both people. It is like an dull toothache that never ends. The only solution is to pull it out. Just do it and you will be able to enjoy life again.
23. Rabbi Khamenei
S. Michael ,   Carversville, PA   (09.26.11)
This guy is an embarrassment. He is not better than your worst Islamic extremist.
24. Same concern for hostile civilians as WW II Allies.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.26.11)
We must remove the mad chains that bind the IDF. We must stop let leftist lawyers run the IDF. Israel must fight with the same spirit as the WW II Allies. Had the Allies been handcuffed by loony leftist lawyers, what is left of the world would all speak German. Israel should show no more concern for enemy civilians than the WW II Allies. Let's make sure the IDF win from now on!
25. #10 no, it's what the arabs have been saying
Robert ,   NY USA   (09.26.11)
26. All Settlers are trespassers
Nina ,   NYC   (09.26.11)
Israel decided to ignite violence by changing the accident to terror for political reasons. GO BACK HOME TO ISRAEL.
27. Collective Punishment
Joe ,   Israel   (09.26.11)
Collective punishment under the Geneva Convention is a war crime. Perpetrators are subject to arrest and punishment. The author of the suggestion will not be the first nor the last one to cast the stone. Talk is cheap!
28. PA -Turkey Style Apology and Compensation
(09.26.11)
Perhaps Abbas and the newly forming Palestinian UN recognized state government should offer an unreserved international apology ( Erdogan style ) and compensation for the deaths of an innocent father and son who were NOT engaged in violent intent, or law breaking.
29. #26 where
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.26.11)
Where do you want the Jews to go?
30. i hate to break this for you, #29, but nobody cares where je
eporue ,   europe   (09.26.11)
