I believe many of you have misconstrued the meaning behind this article. It is not "hate-mongering" nor is there anything anti-Semetic/Hitlereque about it. London is merely identifying the fact that Haredim drain the financial coffers of Israel, while contributing little to the country on a socio-economic level. Instead of applying their great knowledge toward our incredible state, they isolate themselves and tend to be viewed as extremists. Nonetheless, as a member of society, one must contribute to the society, rather than just accepting a free-ride. There are numerous pecuniary benefits bestowed upon the Haredi community in the form of education, tax-breaks and general support which comes from hardworking Israeli taxpayer money. The purpose of the article is not to say we should actually curb the birthrate of Haredim by law, but rather stop providing Haredim so many benefits, which encourages them to have many children, not work and avoid military service knowing they will receive stipends from the government.
