Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.27.12)
catastrophe, one they still hope to change by bringing about Israel's demise, despite the fact that Israel was proclaimed based on the Jewish people's historic, ethical and legal right. This is the face of the Arab Israeli conflict!!

63. #56 - he meant the "injustice" of Jews surviving
William ,   Israel   (04.27.12)
The Nakba isn't about the creation of the Jewish State, it's about Jews beating supremacist Arabs whose pride has been battered ever since.
64. To my fellow Israelis
Abed ,   Nazareth   (04.27.12)
I am so deeply sorry that members of my community, the Arab community, are desecrating our day of celebration. Please know that in our hearts Arabs loyal to Israel do not identify with those among us who give moral support and sympathy to a national movement (Palestinian) that supports the destruction of a country we all inhabit and love. A Ben Noach from Nazareth
65. # 3 THis post is not mine
Sarah B , ,   U.S.A./Israel   (04.27.12)
This imposter is going too far. I would never write shtuyots like " No right of return for those who left their homes VOLUNTARILY." Forget what this silly imposter wrote. There is no right of return at all. Voluntarily or not they dragged themselves to a war of extermination and we manage to survive with almost 23.000 dead soldiers after glorious 64 years of rebirth of our nation. They cannot and they will not return. This imposter is ruining my reputation and she or he will pay dearly for that. I will get his or her ISP and she or he will face the hard hand of the justice.
66. Palestine your free, to leave israel!!

68. Why does Ynet have to have this on such a nice day
rebecca ,   Modiin   (04.27.12)
Does Ynet have a problem with people being happy. give us a break and one or two days without this sort of downer. It's our birthday. let us celebrate.
69. Just cant reconcile
Tim ,   Brighton   (04.27.12)
If they feel so much hatred against Israel and cant bear to live there...to prevent the shedding of any more crocodile tears...then isnt the answer obvious? Though a tireless advocate for Palestinian Statehood..I have ABSOLUTELY NO SYMPATHY and ALOT OF EXASPERATION at those who benefit from the system but are the first to want to dismantle it As for those pathetic MKs who conduct these circuses...what they are doing is nothing short of incitement. It is only Israels tolerance that allows these oafs to stay out of prison But apart from all this invective...Israeli Society has got to play its part too. To promote greater cohesion and unity of purpose and embrace ALL ISRAELIS into ONE GREATER ISRAELI FAMILY And by far the MOST IMPORTANT WAY is to see young Israeli Arabs as well as young Israeli Ultra Orthodox somehow brought to serve in some capacity in the IDF or some other type of National Service That surely will build a valuable sense of worth of pride in their country , a sense of common purpose and mutual respect that no amount of wailing and arguing and indeed talkbacking can ever do

In 1948, the Palestinians were Jews and the Arabs were Arabs. Only since 1964 did Arabs begin to call themselves "Palestinians". So, yes, the Palestinians of 1948 did invite Zionists to their land. Learn some history before you shoot your mouth off.
71. Time tp expel Tibi, Zoobee and the rest
A ,   Belgium   (04.27.12)
of the traitors. Its not enough they sit in the government where they collect fat salaries and benefits in return for spouting their treasonous garbage, but they also mourn the independence of the state that even allows them such an honor. Their Israeli citizenship should be revoked immediatly, let them find nice jobs with their hamas "brothers" in gaza.

You do a poor imitation of Sarah B.
73. #59 What of it?
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (04.27.12)
It was a botched attempt by poorly trained fighters to take control of a village that overlooked a path to Jerusalem. Jerusalem was under *siege* at this point, to clear it of Jews. The botched attack turned into a bloodbath, that much is true. But further accounts were heavily politicized, both by the Jordanian propaganda machine and by the Hagganah that wanted to publicly remove any support for the Etzel and Lehi, so as to consolidate its own foundation. It was war at some of its worst, but it wasn't a calculated, premediated massacre. The story was so utterly exaggerated by Arab officials that it set off a panic - there were stories of rape, of murdered children in the streets, things that simply *didn't happen*, but they set off a panic just the same. Of course, when the Arabs conducted massacres in 1929, fully expelling the Jewish populace of Hebron (those who weren't murdered, that is), it was the Jews who got blamed for it by the British. And somehow the event was since largely erased from public history. So don't Deir-Yassin us, please. Much worse had already happened before.
74. Roman from Lod
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (04.27.12)
Lod was called Lydda, wasn't it? Do you know what happened with people who lived there?
75. Israelis shouldn't forget either!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.27.12)
Nest time we buy an appliance or need a tradesman or an accountant or lawyer we should think about this and go to one of our own who believes in the State of Israel! None of these anti-Israel "protestors" are not anti getting money from the State. They should have a good look at how lucky they are when you look at the rest of the Arab world! I Syria they would have been gunned down.
76. Kafr Yasif: THE TRUTH...WHOOPS!!!!!
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.27.12)
There are several versions on the name of the site. In the book of Joshua 19, 20, it was mentioned as Hossa, and was part of estate of tribe Asher. In the Septuagint translation of the bible it was mentioned as Ya-ssif. Josephus Flavius called the site Kfar Acco, and it was mentioned in the Talmud by this name. According to the Jewish tradition the village was given to Flavius by Aspasianus and was renamed after him, Kfar Yoseph. Kfar Yassif , was continuously populated by Jews from the 12th century BCE until the 5th century CE, and from the 16th century until 1870. The rest of the story, the Arabs don't want you to know. Interesting, isn't it?
77. # 6 Sam another idea
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (04.27.12)
Katherine Ashton can invite her pal friends to live with her in England. ( wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall?)
78. #30: Yes They Did
emanon ,   USA   (04.27.12)
While under British mandate, Israel was called Palestine and the Jews were the only group to be called Palestinian. They called for other Jews to join them. The arabs never adopted the name until an Egyptian, Yasser Araft of cursed memory, revived it and tried to co-opt it for the arabs.
79. The Nazis lost.
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (04.28.12)
so, no they weren't right.
