1. They don't understand ANY fire at Israel is unacceptable.
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (06.21.12)
They need to have it made very very clear to them. Where is the W.H.O now?
2. Cease-fire?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.21.12)
Sure, why not? Pound Gaza -- 40 or 50 well placed missiles should do the trick -- and then when that terrorist rabble is reeling from the punishment, tell them, okay, you can have your cease-fire.
3. Disturbed????
M ,   USA   (06.21.12)
Gee..YNet and Haaretz readers ought to be gushing with emotion and all jazzed at the latest barrage from the peaceful ones!! Leftist all over Israel must be in ecstasy over the latest attack since the nasty Jews are getting their just desserts. Take note Tel Avivniks-the missiles are going farther, and eventually you'll get it too.
4. Rockets and terror against Israel

will never end as long as creampuff Barak is still allowed to play Defense Minister.
5. no Moses' tomb left for the Israelites to make into an idol
observer ,   Egypt   (06.21.12)
On 13 May 1948, Najd was occupied by the Negev Brigade as part of Operation Barak, before Israel was declared a state and before any Arab armies entered Palestine. The villagers were expelled and fled to Gaza. In 1951, the town of Sderot was built on the village's lands. According to UN Resolution 194 and also the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 13, Section 2, the villagers of Najd have a right to return home to their personal property and to their native village.
6. They learned from Jews to not make it like,
observer ,   Egypt   (06.21.12)
Despite talk of truce, Gaza rockets were not fired at Ashkelon
7. Israel was Egyptian province at time of Joseph
observer ,   Egypt   (06.21.12)
the mention of a people or tribe whom Merenptah had victoriously smitten--"I.si.ri.ar?"; a granite stele erected by the king Amenhotep III was discovered by Flinders Petrie in 1896 at Thebe, Egypt. The black granite stela primarily commemorates a victory in a campaign against the Libu and Meshwesh Libyans and their Sea People allies, but its final two lines refer to a prior military campaign in Canaan in which Merneptah states that he defeated Ashkelon, Gezer, Yanoam and Isrir "Israel" among others. sign is typically used by the Egyptians to signify nomadic tribes without a fixed city-state, thus implying that ysrỉr "Israel" was the demonym for a seminomadic or rural population. Exodus from one province of Egypt to another Egyptian province is like exodus from Tel Aviv to Haifa.
8. Ashkelon
observer ,   Egypt   (06.21.12)
Before the 1948 war, Majdal (Ashkelon) had been a commercial and administrative center with a population of 12,000. It also had religious importance: nearby, amid the ruins of ancient Ashkelon, stood Mash'had Nabi Hussein, an 11th-century structure. But after July 1950, there was nothing left for them to visit: that's when the Israel Defense Forces blew up Mash'had Nabi Hussein.

terrorist rockets. Add these two former military people together and you get one fourth of a backbone UNLESS they are STEALING homes from Jews, THEN they have stainless steel balls a foot wide weighing 20 kilograms.
11. Not a word from State Dept. or Ashton, firesure sign pals are
ab   (06.21.12)
not hurt at all by Israeli "response" to rockets
12. Who is responsible?
Tim ,   Brighton   (06.21.12)
20/06/12 There are parties other than Hamas in Gaza who claim involvement, special influence and 'ownership' of Gaza/Israel issues These include a myriad of Pro Palestinian activists lobbyists and propagandists as well as organisations from Amnesty Int to a whole plethora of UN agencies inside and outside of Gaza All in support of Hamas and completely oblivious to their charter and their objectionable rhetoric, their terrorist attacks against Israel and their point blank refusal to negotiate a permanent cease fire. BUT when these attacks occur - these people suddenly disappear into thin air - go silent - slither into their holes - not a word of condemnation - JUST DEADLY SILENCE No words from the UK Champions of Hamas – such as the MargoLIES, Millers, Thompsons, Corbyns, Kaufmans, BaronASSes Tonge and Ashton of this world…. No words from AnNasty International. No words from the likes of the overfed Glutton Gunnes of UNWRA… No words too of the overt and outrageous racism and the intolerable brainwashing of Gazas children promoted under their very noses So if indeed as they claim they have special influence in Gaza we demand that THEY use it to stop these attacks or on THEIR and HAMAS HEADS BE IT when Israel retaliates IN FORCE
13. Observer - Egypt
Tim ,   Brighton   (06.21.12)
Youve been busy..! Surely better to write 'quality' not 'quanitity' But in an obtuse way you have a point.. Whichever way you look at history...our histories have been inextricably linked..sometimes for worse but mostly for better If history teaches us anything Observer is that we are far better off working WITH not AGAINST each other...we owe that much to our children
14. Why is the Hamas leadership still alive?
John ,   NZ   (06.21.12)
15. Observer Egypt was once Egyptian not an Arab/Moslem colony
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (06.21.12)
conquered by Arab invaders and converted by the sword. Copts had the courage, character and strength of belief to hold on to their traditions and faith. So did the Jews. How about you? Are you an invader or a surrendered convert?
16. Observer Your brothers sent " irregulars" & killed 1000 Jews
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (06.21.12)
before the genocidal combined Arab armies invasion. Your brothers in mandate Palestine were doing pogroms and slaughtering unarmed defenceless Jews for centuries. UN GA resolutions are not binding! Jews never built idols to Moses! What DO you know other than how to cry victim?
17. What do you meen "two rockets" try 130?!?!?!?!?!

If the islamic followers fires rockets against Israel, then fir the same numbers of rockets back, onto the homes of members of Izz al-Din al-Qassam,..and one additional on a hamass-member-house.
21. If the only way to get rid of

Watch AlJazeera Mubasher Misr TV; I'm the one waving hands!
24. #22 . Defend or justify?
Ram ,   London   (06.21.12)
Whichever it is you are ignoring facts, preferring revision!
25. Prayers
Adam Neira ,   Paris, France   (06.21.12)
Prayers for residents of the South. I repeat...The IAF is entitled to do all it can to stop these wicked rocket attacks. Hamas if it is to be regarded as the prevailing authority in the Gaza Strip it must do everything in its power to stop these launchers. If things escalate the consequences for various extremists will be severe. It is not fair that Israelis need to show such 24/7 vigilance just to survive.
26. # Observer 23..
Ivan ,   South Africa   (06.21.12)
You must be one of those many thousands Toy-Toyers (South African saying for all unempolyed demonstrators) enjoy your day...
27. to observer
Jennie ,   Israel/UUS   (06.21.12)
You just can't get it : No arab "villagers" were expelled in 1948..They fled on their own and came back with all the Arab force to destroy Israel...And you can demonstrate here your invented resolutions, but it won't make work to your benefit.. BTW, did we ever deny the facts about the story of our forefather Joseph ? And regarding Merenptah and "I.si.ri.ar": What does this lunacy has to do with anything ? There never was a palestinian people. Period...They are all descendents of Muslim refugees, who were fleeing to Gaza from Egypt, Jordan, etc. beginnig 1967. Israeli government was compassionate enough to settle them temporarily into refugee camps..And that is how Arafat came into being and over about a decade, they grew into what they are today...
28. We must retake Gaza forever.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.21.12)
The situation is very simple. Our major Gaza problems began when our stupid leaders forced us to flee Gaza. The answer is to retake Gaza forever. Like all Israel's big problems, our Gaza problems are the direct result of an Israeli retreat. End the retreats and end Israel's big problems.
29. cease fire?
observer ,   Egypt   (06.21.12)
you are so naive to believe that it is only up to Israel morality to cease fire. I totally agree with you that Israel can hit Gaza hard enough to leave no brick atop of another, but that is only in case that Gazans show no enough response to Israel's aggression. MIGHT IS RIGHT.
30. SECURE BIG ISRAEL, Sinai back, nonviolent transfer, BALANCE.
