First, we don't really know what was discussed and what information was exchanged. if the israleis have hard data about the Iranian nuke weapons effort, today was the day to share that with the Russians. Secondly, we don't really know what Putin told Bibi. His public statements recommend time and caution but there have been discussions in private here. Do the Russians really have an interest in a nuclear weapon equipped Iran? Iran is right on their border. So is Pakistan. The Uk and France have nukes pointed at Russia AND Iran. So does the US. Yes the Russians stand to benefit from oil production restrictions from the Middle East , but they also need stability in the world. Enabling the Iranian and Syrian regimes doesn't do that. Israel needs a war plan, or at least, a covert war plan. And emphasize on the word "don't rush". Closer relations bwetween Russia and Israel are important!

Russia was supplying materials to Nazi Germany between 1939 to 1941 when Britain stood alone against the Nazis. Russia did not enter the war until it was attacked in 1941 after Hitler had failed to get air supremacy over Great Britain in the Battle of Britain. Forming a non-aggression pact with Germany as Russia did prior to WW2 sounds like appeasing to me. Britain was offered a very generous peace settlement by Hitler prior to the Battle of Britain but turned it down. Russia may have done 90% of the fighting in WW2 but if Britain had allied itself with Hitler ( as he wanted ) or accepted his excellent peace deal then America would never have entered the war and it would have been curtains for Russia and the rest of Europe too.

Russia played a far bigger role in defeating the Nazis than the British Empire or America. I say this as a Brit who had family killed in action in WW2. The contribution of Britain and America was crucial in its own way but to suggest that Russia did not play the dominant role in bringing the Nazis down in WW2 suggests that you have not read a great deal of the history and are perhaps relying on the Hollywood version of WW2

I agree with you 100%. I have always said that if you attack Iran make certain to uproot its foundation. Do not just BOMB Iran! Go in there with ground troops, remove that evil regime and get one that is friendly to Israel. Then, they may even get nuclear energy. And for all this....Israel can do it easily.
