Netanyahu condemns Jerusalem lynch    Attila Somfalvi
1. Enough already!
It wasn't a "lynch." No one was hanged!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.21.12)
2. #1 but an attempt to kill...
and that aches me, such a behaivior is NOT jewish! Instead of playing it down, Sarah, we should start to fight hate, racism and violence!
Ze'ev ,   Nbg, germany   (08.21.12)
3. Stop the pandering..you sound pathetic
Secure the country agaist the invaders and the usurpers then you can wax poetic about nothing. You are all about nothing. Jerry Seinfeld could have taken lessons from you.
Al   (08.21.12)
4. Sarah, it's a question about what principles
our civilization is based on. I am happy with Bibi's strong claim. Defending justice (for all) and freedom is our raison d'être.
Yossef   (08.21.12)
5. It most definitely was
a lynching. Please consult your nearest dictionary for a proper definition of the term.
Stefan ,   US   (08.21.12)
6. Prime minister condems arab boy attack by Jewish youth
The medie in Israel has spent more time on this issue than it ever spent on murder of Jews by Arabs all these years of the State of Israel.
chana novick ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.21.12)
7. Almost every other day we hear about Jews being "LYNCHED"
by Arabs on the way going or coming from the Kotel, where was the outcry from the secular media and where was/is Bibi's condemnation?
David ,   Jerusalem   (08.21.12)
8. Thank you Mr. Prime Minister
It is time to promote tolerance not extremisim.
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (08.21.12)
9. What about Israeli women getting raped
by these migrants? Does that upset the PM? What is he doing about it?
Rachel ,   US   (08.21.12)
10. Sarah, yes it was!
The victim was unconscious when he was left alone. I'm not sure whether he was clinically dead or not, but he was considered dead by the brutes that attacked him, and so it WAS a lynch (at least in mentality)! How can you not be appalled by that barbaric act?! "This is not our way, it goes against our values and we strongly condemn it" - Don't you relate with that comment?
N. ,   jerusalem   (08.21.12)
11. To: No. 10
Why don't you look up the definition of the word "lynch?" I do relate to the Prime Minister's comment, and I find the act deplorable. BUT IT WASN'T A LYNCH!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.21.12)
12. To: No. 5
Here's the definition: Lynch: murder for supposed crime; to seize somebody believed to have committed a crime and put him or her to death immediately and without trial, usually by hanging There was no murder; there was no hanging. Q.E.D. -- there was no lynching.
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.21.12)
13. #1 - The meaning of Lynch
FYI lynching does not mean hanging. lynch to put to death, especially by hanging, by mob action and without legal authority. Note the definition says 'especially by hanging' not only by hanging. See the Ramallah Lynch for example. Also in US law.. Lynching in the second degree is defined as "Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person and from which death does not result." It is a sad day when people try to excuse or justify such despicable behaviour. #6 - utter nonsense.
Joe Public ,   Tel Aviv   (08.21.12)
14. Bibi loves Arabs more than Jews?
This whole thing appears to have been a fight between teenagers which apparently the Arab started. I wish Bibi would love his fellow Jews as much as he loves the Arabs, as reflected in this report.
Yoni ,   Jerusalem   (08.21.12)
15. Oh brother, can you be a little bit MORE sensational, please
Lynch? Really?
AlexB ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.21.12)
16. To: No. 2
Do you have any idea what happens to Jews who accidentally take a wrong turn and find themselves in an Arab village? Do you have any idea how many automobiles driven by Jews are attacked by boulder-throwing Arab thugs on a daily basis? That's as good a place as any to start fighting hatred, racism and violence, isn't it? So start there. You know full well that the ersatz "Palestinians" have engaged in abhorrent violence and terrorism for seven decades. The Jewish community in Israel has grown sick and tired of their violence. Treating the Arabs with kindness has not worked. Giving them untrammeled access to our cities and towns has not worked. Providing them with top-quality medical care has not worked. Building schools and universities for them has not worked. Giving them well-paid jobs in Israel has not worked. Can you really blame anyone for deciding there has been enough of the carrot and not enough of the stick?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.21.12)
17. #1 Sarah B: So when Jews are beaten up its also OK?
We yell and scream blue bloody murder when a Jewish kid gets beaten up in Paris but when an Arab citizen of Israel gets beaten up its OK because he wasn't killed? How many times have YOU complained about double standards, Sarah B? Some commentators here condemn Netanyahu for his "pandering" but fail to see that we don't need Iran to destroy Israel. Netanyahu is doing Ahmadinejad's job for him but Bibi's divide and rule policy which is causing hatred between Jews whether it be religious or secular, right-wing or left, Israelis within the Green Line and Israelis in Judea and Samaria. If you can't see this, well then we are really in trouble. War between us and the Arabs, within and without, are inevitable and we have survived them and we will do what has to be done with Iran with or without US support, but a war between Jews will destroy us all!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (08.21.12)
18. @ Sarah B, USA
Sarah, it does not matter what you call it, it is simply unacceptable. Jews are not to behave this way. If you can't even realize that, then you need to see a psychiatrist.
Aharon ,   Holon, Israel   (08.21.12)
19. The Message
“We say as clearly as possible: The State of Israel is a democratic and enlightened state in which, when we come across acts such as these if they are Muslims throwing stones down at Jew's praying at the kotel , we will reward them and give them our Temple Mount, and we will always give them undeserved goodwill gestures for their violence and naming their streets after the killers of Jews. The entire state and all of its leaders come out together against such phenomena now only because Jews committed this violent act , otherwise we have learned to accept the violence from our Palestinian peace partners , part of the painful concessions I said that we Jews would have to pay for this glorious made in America peace,” hot dogs on the house, fNetanyahu said
Marcel ,   Florida   (08.21.12)
20. Sarah B
What would you call it, if you were the victim....a childish prank ? a political disagreement? There are times when you are no longer funny here, just sickening
Michael ,   Haifa   (08.21.12)
21. Netanyahu says 'This is not our way'
Could have fooled me. Pull the other one Bibi, it's got bells on.
roger ,   zurich switzerland   (08.21.12)
22. #9 Who commits most rapes?
Most rapes in Israel are committed by Israeli Jews. Why aren't you pointing your finger at them? Israelis are in massive denial about so many things, and one is their rampant racism.
roger ,   zurich switzerland   (08.21.12)
23. NO 1 Sarah
Enough Said Sarah ??.. It was still a violent attack .. Someone was attacked and injured.. Jew or non Jew ,Arab or non Arab ..Well done no 17 for your comment. Unfortunatley Sarah does is a right wing Bigot ....
ray stuart ,   Zürich/Israel   (08.21.12)
24. Lynch
#18. That's was exactly the logic of Jews when being led to the death chambers by the Nazis. Now, who needs to see a psychiatrist?
Jack ,   LA, USA   (08.21.12)
25. #1
Your ignorance does not surprise me. I wonder if you would have understood the meaning of the word 'lynch' if it had been wrapped in a different national flag. Your extremist views are poisoning us .
yafe nefesh ,   nahariya   (08.21.12)
26. #25 Yafe
I am seriously thinking that Sarah B is in fact an Iranian stooge sent to rile people to campaign against Israel. Sarah B is the biggest enemy to Israel that Ahmedinijad. Ahmadinijad doesn't have any real power, Sarah B just incites hatred against Israel and the Jews in particular
Ivor Evenbiggergun   (08.21.12)
27. while...
I very much agree ith Netanyahu's stance on this, I do not at all see room for a "softer" judgment. Had Arabs done this, everybody would be speaking of a vicious terrorist attack in the midst of Jerusalem immediately after it happened. "Lynch" is a comparatively soft wording and were I maliciou, I'd see double standards at work in Netanyahu's judgement. However, "lynch" probably is the best way to describe what happened.
Jan ,   Germany   (08.21.12)
28. #16 to # 2 -bibi loves arabs?
Right on Sarah B. As far as I am concerned, Bibi still is compelled to look "good" in the "Worlds' eyes...The whole rotten concept of "democracy" in the Jewish state has done more harm than good, and may Iran attack us with all they have got to finally unite our nation!! In the meantime to do away with a few hundred future Arab terrorists would not be a great loss - after all, even the mothers of the "martyrs" are proud of them ! Let us please them more.
Yosef Y. MSc' ,   USA   (08.21.12)
29. Sarah B is a HOAX!
She recently posted a talkback where she said "can't wait to see Taba!" She was insinuating that Israel should take back the Sinai - without understanding that Taba and Eilat are border towns. This is proof that she writes "USA and Israel" as her countries when, in fact, she is just another ignorant hate mongering American who has never been to the Middle East. If she had ever traveled she'd know about Tabas proximity to Eilat. Sarah B is a first class fool spouting mindless comments without a shred of intellect to stand on. Keep it up Sarah B. Your hate makes yourself - and Israel - look bad.
John ,   Tucson, USA   (08.21.12)
30. @Jan #27
You are 100% wrong Jan. Had Arabs "done this" ...nothing or very little would have been reported. It happens all the time, cars get stoned, knives are pulled, children hurt very badly. I was shot at not long ago. Did you read about it? I was comforting an old man whose granddaughter had just been injured by your Arab friends. I also have many Arab friends...and they know, just like I do, what the truth is here in Israel. You do not.
