31. Mrs. Corrie lies
mea   (08.28.12)
Mrs. Corrie expresses bewilderment that her daughter was in a war situation ir area when in fact, the first 2-3 days after her daughters stupid actions, the journals on her online account were still visible and I read them--which showed her parents were warning her over and over again to understand she was in a conflict area that was dangerous and also that she should TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE ISRAELI POSITION! So Mrs. Corrie, you little prayer that no one would know that those journals wre onion did not play out. The truth is, you are lying about this event and you know you are. Rachel Corrie died because she was another smug, self righteous Aemrican girl on a ride. Even the Palestinian quickly learned to avoid this dumb kid who freaked out and led a family out into the line of fire at one point--also reported in the journal that was taken off line. People like Corrie are not heroes, and attempting to manufacture her into one isn;t going to work. This dumb kid was even nominated for the Nobel prize. Give me a break...
32. Such hatred of Israel and Jews and YNET plays right into
Patriotic Israeli ,   Tel Aviv, israel   (08.28.12)
their hands - giving these anti-semites as much press coverage as they want slanting the story and the truth in a way to legitimize this virulent and disgusting attack on Israel and our court system and our right to defend ourselves.

I actually think a donkey has more intelligence then you.
34. the corries want arab style justice not real justice
zionist forever   (08.28.12)
A SAD DAY FOR HUMAN RIGHTS You don't need a court case to tell you Rachel Corrie stupidly did something very dangerous and she got killed in the process. What exactly does the outcome of this inquirey have to do with human rights? Whats going on in Syria is a human rights issue but what happened with Rachel Corrie no matter what the verdict it was never going to be a human rights issue its about who was responsible for her death plain and simple. A SAD DAY FOR THE LEGAL SYSTEM OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL Its a sad day for the countries legal system because it didn't rule in their favour. What happened to the idea of accepting the verdict of an independent judiciary? Sounds to me that these people want Israel to have an arab court system where the trial is for image purposes only and it actually revolves around the pre decided guilty verdict. Then again their lawyer is an arab Abu Hussain ( the nickname Hamas gave to Obama ) so maybe its not surprising they want arab justice. Saint Rachels death wasn't even a regrettable accident it was pure stupidity. If this has happened with the American military they probably would have said straight out she intentionally put her life in danger end of story. If the Corrie's want to do something useful then instead of wasting their time and money on trying to get the courts ti say the IDF was guilty instead tell people not to get involved with groups ISM who encourage their supporters to carry out stupid and dangerous stunts for media attention.
35. Court decision is right but the lefties on Supremes will ...
Joseph ,   Fort Lauderdale, FL   (08.28.12)
The Lefty Supremes will give these parents something. They should have kept their little slut at home. ISM should be kicked out of the Israel controlled areas. But liberal Israelis are Isreals worst enemies.
36. Justice was served!!
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (08.28.12)
37. wow..
John Holmes ,   Johnsonville, CA   (08.28.12)
such an Israeli thing to say.. oy vey!
38. No Values
Dan ,   Florida - Tel Aviv   (08.28.12)
The culpability is with the parents who raised a child who responded to bumper sticker slogans rather than have any ability to think and actually and dispassionately look at the issues. This little girl acted on her emotions and the anti-Semitic BS she has been fed by Palestinians. She died because her parents let her run loose and never taught her to think.

40. Justice Pending
ALbert Einstien ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.28.12)
Corrie death was not invain. Justice will be done. Soldiers were watching her being bulldozed and she was not armed. You do not kill an unarmed person even in war.
41. Basic IQ Test, Question One:
Em Zar ,   NY, NY   (08.28.12)
Basic IQ Test, Question One: Someone who deliberately seeks out a war zone, travels to it, and then deliberately stands in front of an oncoming tank (a) is an idiot (b) has no right to sue (c) should've been stopped by their family (d) all of the above The correct answer is "d," as in "duh."
42. Weak Minded Family
Dr. Lanhorne ,   Denver USA   (08.28.12)
It seems the minds of the entire Corrie family can be easily co-opted. In light of the video footage proving there was no house being defended and the insane game of chicken being played by the kids of ISM with a bulldozer this family refuses to accept the truth about their daughter and themselves.
43. Jewish double standards
Steve Newstart ,   Washington DC, USA   (08.28.12)
Unlimited empathy for yourselves and little to none for others. I guess when you are the "chosen people" the rest of us are un-chosen discard-able trash. And you want my country/USA to lay down our lives and treasure in battles for you. This is why you are hard to love. I feel used. It's not demonization. It's a mirror to your selfish indifference to others while crying anti-semite!!! What you did to the Cananites was genocide, too. Their claim to this disputed land. Pre dates the Jews. Oh,but that was God's will. Gee that's sounds familiar except the jihadist say, Allah's will.
44. De ja vue
Marisa ,   Conn. U.S.   (08.28.12)
It is a sad day,,, a sad day for the mental health of this state of Israel, nobody is ever responsible, takes respnsibility, and yes what about the young Jewish girl from Virginia that had her eye shot out her head with a canister by the IDF,,,, introspection and sometimes an apology can ease the grief but Israel,,, De ja vue.
45. Who would have believed it?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (08.28.12)
Justice from an Israeli court for once. Now charge the racist parents with aiding and abetting terrorism.
46. Israel ruling
Shelley Mitchell ,   Arcata, CA   (08.28.12)
Of course, Isreal will never admit they are wrong in the death of any peaceful non violent protestors. They are guilty of killing so many (Flotilla massacre) but they instead blame anyone who supports the Palestinians - even when a bulldozer runs over an American woman protesting illegal building of settlements.
47. Parents should have keep her in USA
Shep ,   Memphis, TN - USA   (08.28.12)
As parents, they should have told her that she was obviously endangering herself by going into a known war zone where her "accomplices" use human shields for cover. Corrie was used by Hamas to be their American Martyr. Didn't do much for their cause, did it? BTW - an Israeli soldier was just run over by a tank, so I guess there isn't 100% vision for a tank driver - which no one ever claimed. If you stand in front of a moving tank, there is a good likelihood you are going to end up a pancake. Stupid woman and stupid parents.

49. Setup
Zyx ,   US   (08.28.12)
A death is always a tragedy but supporting the hamas is a clear statement of antisemitism. Rachel Corrie was in a war zone where she had no business and at her own risk. All her parents are doing is using they daughter's death to feed their hatred for Israel.
50. If she were really a peace activist
Ron ,   LA US   (08.28.12)
Rachale should have been riding a bus in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv if she were really a peace activist. She took sides. But, the case was not about here motivation, it was about a potential murder. The case was on shakey ground on every level and nothing can be proved beyond accident.
51. Attorney Hussein Abu Hussein...
Stefan ,   Hamburg, Germany   (08.28.12)
...is a funny lawyer. No "war-time situation", huh? How come that Rachel Corrie mentions the word "tank" not less than 16 times in three emails which she sent her parents (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/mar/18/usa.israel) shortly before her death? Let´s also consider this sentence in Corrie´s e-mail to her friends and family, dated from February 7, six weeks before the lethal accident: "Today, as I walked on top of the rubble where homes once stood, Egyptian soldiers called to me from the other side of the border, ,Go! Go!` because a tank was coming." Was she just too dumb? Or maybe excited by the "difficulties the Israeli army would face if they shot an unarmed US citizen" (Corrie in the same e-mail)? Anyhow, her dad says today: "I'm proud of what my daughter did." If that´s so, why the fuss? Doesn`t the driver of the bulldozer even deserve some gratitude in that case? The state of mind of Rachel Corrie´s deranged parents is reminiscent of the Palestinian parents who celebrate when their sons turn into shahids. Where are the candies?
52. Rachel Corrie
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (08.28.12)
It's a sad that a young girl, stupid girl had to die but she shouldn't have been in Gaza in the first place. Does anyone know how she actually got into Gaza? I have no sympathy for her bleeding heart liberal parents or family. Rachel put herself in harms way, and her dumb as parents let her. For once the courts of our country sided with our soldiers and not the left. Now, please just leave the country and don't come back
53. Sad day for Israel ?
joe ,   uk   (08.28.12)
the parents should thank israel for taking the time and pass a verdict this could not happen in gaza or arab country
54. The forgotten Rachels:
Yossef   (08.28.12)
Rachel Levy (aged 17, blown up in a grocery store) Rachel Levi (19, shot while waiting for the bus) Rachel Gavish (killed with her husband, son and father while at home celebrating a Passover meal) Rachel Charhi (blown up while sitting in a Tel Aviv cafe, leaving three young children) Rachel Shabo (murdered with her three sons aged 5, 13 and 16 while at home) Rachel Ben Abu (16, blown up outside the entrance of a Netanya shopping mall) Rachel Kol, 53, who worked at a Jerusalem hospital and was killed with her husband in a Palestinian terrorist attack in July a few days after the London bombs. From ShahMassoud / Jerusalem Post
55. Taking responsibility for one's actions
Yosef Eytan ,   Eilat, Israel   (08.28.12)
Those that walk in a minefield, on their own free will, must except the potential outcome and take responsibility for it. Good intentions aside, she was a fool and took her own life.
56. Our soldiers are our children . . .
nibor ,   israel   (08.28.12)
Just like her daughter was their child. We don't like them being in danger or going to war, but they have no choice. She did have a choice. It does sound like negligence, but during war, there is a lot of that, and I think we lost a lot of our own because of it.
57. Justice Served

What a great day for justice !! she was in a war zone

Brian ,   London   (08.28.12)
Corries today. Perhaps they will now choose to name an entire shipping company after Rachel in time for the next failed flotilla to Gaza. It is a massive shame that a young girl loses her life - the result of misguidance by the media and the mounting hatred in Muslim circles and the world at large that indoctrinates youngsters searching for causes and meaning in life to behave in irrational ways. I consider myself left wing, but can no longer find the sympathy within myself for this cause. The Palestinians need to take responsibility and play according to proper rules, without venom and without lies and then can they expect a solution to their plight. In my life time? - not sure. A big shame, including for Rachel Corrie and her blind parents.
59. Failing to accept reality -
Eliezer Docan ,   Raanana,Israel   (08.28.12)
While I have the greatest sympathy for Corrie's parents, they are simply refusing to face up to the undeniable truth that their daughter was knowingly and willingly risking her life to act as a human sheild. You know that accidents do happen, and when people shove themselves in front of a moving mechanical digger, there is a risk. The group were so pumped up with adrenalin and their own righteousness for the cause that they believed in, that they thought they were invincible, immortal and untouchable. A sad lesson to us all. What a waste of potential. Certainly this cause was not worth the loss of this life.
60. You had your days in court
tiki ,   belgium   (08.28.12)
Israel will survive your dumb 'comments about 'Human rights abuse & a 'sad day for Israel. The only Human Rights abuse was conducted by your stupid & irresponsable daughter Rachel, who made an innocent bulldozer driver overrun her, which I'm sure, he'll regret for the rest of his life. Now go home and shut up, which you won't because as of today your'e nasty smear campaign will begin, because people like you never accept anything else except your own truth, how stupid or untrue it may be.
