61. Indeed a sad day
Gabe ,   Tel Aviv   (08.28.12)
Firstly, I feel for any parents who lose a child. It's a tragic event which demands sympathy no matter what the circumstances are. On a second note, what on earth did this girl or her parents for that matter expect demonstrating in front of a bulldozer in a war time situation. Why these so called 'liberals' think it's acceptable and helpful to come to Israel to protest for a cause they know very little about really is beyond me. If anything, their so called protesting does nothing to help the cause. Instead, it inflames the situation - increasing feelings of resentment and hate which in turn makes the situation even worse. If they choose to protest - rather focus on protesting for peace which is far more positive and productive than allowing provoking an already dire situation.
62. We would have just arrested her...
guest ,   us   (08.28.12)
We would have just sent a couple of marines to arrest that "dangerous", unarmed woman and threw her in jail. The operator of the dozer knew there could be people in in his path. So did the authorities, they're either guilty of murder or manslaughter. You don't have the right to kill people who's political views you find repugnant. That's the issue. If it happened to one of your daughters all we'd be hearing are "oy vey's", "how brutal" and I'd still be protesting it because it's wrong. You could have just arrested her, it wasn't an "accident", she wasn't a threat to the "State",she didn't deserve To die like a sack of garbage. Her parents loved her, too.
63. Great day for Israel
Miracle Dog ,   Tel Aviv   (08.28.12)
And a sad day for all Jew-hating, flag-burning terror supporters everywhere.
64. support terrorists, get killed
jack ,   sacramento, ca   (08.28.12)
plain and simple. this is what she gets for supporting hamas.
65. Those who help terrorists must be punished as terrorists.
Chaim ,   Israel   (08.28.12)
Rachel Corrie came to Israel to help murderous genocidal terrorists. Those who help terrorits must be punished as terrorists. Virtually no other nation would deal with the Corries with the same foolish leniency as Israel.
66. Thanks for the compliment but please be accurate
Salim ,   Canada   (08.28.12)
Cindy Corrie said "At least we have the option to turn to the justice system – a right many Palestinians are denied of." Forget about just the PA or Gaza... Where in the ENTIRE Arab world can a trial like this take place????
67. Sad day?The are wrong! On the same day 9 are indicticted
Mark ,   Texas   (08.28.12)
The highest leadership of the Israeli government along with the majority of Israelis and Jews condemned the actions of thug Jewish youths who brutally attacked an Arab boy. On the same day as this decision, Israeli prosecutors filed charges against them. The same fate awaits those who firebombed the Taxi in Judea. The Corries are just hellbent on making Israel look bad before the world. Those who want to believe their story will. Those with an open mind will look at the facts and understand the truth. I know if my child were to stand in front of a bulldozer to try to stop it and was hit by it, as sad and mad as I might be, I have no one to blame but my child. Its one of the first lessons we learn in life, don't put yourself in harms way. The Corries are too blind to admit it. They cannot admit that their child is responsible for her own actions. Sad for them, sad for us that they pull us through the mud to try and prove otherwise. And blame anyone but themselves.
68. Look at you and the garbage you posted,...
split ,   US   (08.28.12)
What an ugly bunch of heartless 'comentators' no wonder tha you're the most hated tribe around the world - You make me sick ,...
69. Good day for Israel.
Elizabeth Biggin ,   Rotherham, UK   (08.28.12)
Maybe if these so-called "parents" didn't let their anarchist daughter travel to Gaza to burn the flag of her own country and protect the homes of terrorists...then she wouldn't have died. They should be ashamed they let their daughter become like that. She didn't care about "human rights", she just wanted to cause trouble because she was a Jew hater.
70. "A sad day for human rights"
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.28.12)
Human rights apply to humans - not to animals and Jew haters, for they have exactly 0.0% human rights. The only right an anti-Semite has, independently of his/her gender, sex, race, color, nationality, ethnicity, religion or social position, education or background, is to receive a bullet in the head. Israel shouldn't debate anti-Semites. Israel should wipe out the anti-Semites.
71. i think the day
anton ,   istanbul   (08.28.12)
israelis accept their faults should be the day of holiday and celebration :) palestinian kids are beaten by army yet commentators finds kids wrong army bulldoze kills a woman they find victim at fault again :) army kills 9 civilian and guess whose fault that one as well :D is thre anything that u can be wrong at? do you guys never man up and accept your faults? untill then i belive the world doesnt care israel rhetoric is well deserved on your part and your arrogance is the main cause of antisemitisim as sarah says.. too bad :)
72. Sad? Because IDF won't allow racist goyim to threaten Jews?
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (08.28.12)
Sad day? Because the Corries are crappy parents who coached their daughter to travel to Israel to block Israelis from stopping Hamas bomb and rocket squads attacking Sderot school children. Sad day, because the Corrie family are racists, bigots and liars? Where was Rachel when Gaza rockets killed Israeli children? Where was Rachel when ISM "activists" smuggled terrorists and weapons into Israel to kill civilians? Where were the Corries before Rachel was even born, when the PLO was attacking Israel from Lebanon? Where were the Corries when the Arabs attacked Israel on Yom Kippur 1973? Where were the Corries when Abbas and his friends attacked the Israeli olympic team in Munich? Where were the Corries when Nasser threatened to throw the Jews into the sea in 1967? These people are daring to try to collect money from Israel because of their bigotries and poor parenting choices, choosing to bankroll their daughters dalliance with the genocidal Hamas and their Gazastan rocketocracy. The two of them can go take a flying leap. And #15 is right, they should be billed for court costs and the IDF's litigation costs, as they would be in a US court , as the losers in a frivolous lawsuit - US courts have always rejected damages by "activists" who get hurt or killed while throwing their bodies in front of US military convoys to "protest" wars. The Corries will find that there is no sympathy in the US for their daughter and her Arab terrorist friends - we remember 911 and the Twin Towers - where the hell were the Corries and Rachel on THAT day - waving PLO flags and throwing candy, with the entire Gaza population, no doubt. Go get Tom Friedman to write an editorial for you!
73. # 68....
Dana Rothschild ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (08.28.12)
we make you sick, split? giiiiit.... and.... at 24 nobody is a child anymore....
74. Shame
Jesus ,   Grapevine, Texas   (08.28.12)
Lots of jews commenting on the supposed "stupidity" of interfering with an "anti terrorist operation" with no shame whatsoever. Perhaps if you didn't live in a mental ghetto you'd be able to realize that most of the world don't see the same picture when your Caterpillars crush homes or your "brave" soldiers routinely harass children in the checkpoints, just to name a few things. Israel was never a liked country but you're just getting more obnoxious as the time passes. Continue down this road and you'll end up without a country to speak of. Your arrogance and stupidity will be your doom.
75. #26 - had the "Palestinians" engaged in peaceful protests
William ,   Israel   (08.28.12)
like Rachel (despite acting as a human shield for terrorists), there wouldn't be a need for this bulldozer in the first place.
76. #43: "What you did to the Cananites was genocide"
Anna ,   Montreal, Canada   (08.28.12)
I am a Jew and I personally never met one Canaanite in my life. I never killed or tried to kill a person, an animal, but only an annoying mosquito. How dear you can allow yourself to accuse anyone of the 3000 years old history?! How dear you accuse the Jews of wanting "your" country " to lay down our lives and treasure in battles for" us, Jews?!!! Exactly, can you explain on what grounds you are claiming USA is Your country? Wasn't one of the European invaders who killed hundreds of native Americans your great-great grand-father? So the Native Americans can prosecute you personally for the crimes committed by your ancestors? But I believe you are a new Muslim invader from the Middle East because you talk like one.
77. Corrie
Natalie Herman ,   Brazil   (08.28.12)
Justice is done, end of story!
78. #71 - Turks have committed many gross violations
William ,   Israel   (08.28.12)
of civilians, and I haven't seen one intl outcry or court case against Turkey yet. Sadly, people like you are the ones who help people like Rachel Corrie feel vindicated to enter a dangerous area with impunity. She paid with her life, while you support her with drivel postings from your safe home. She shouldn't have been there at all. And since this death was ruled unintentional, there is no one to blame except Rachel. When you're ready to place yourself in a dangerous situation near the Syrian border, Anton, let us know so we can send you emails of support. Someone, i doubt your family would be calling on Ban Ki-Moon to launch an investigation. By the way, if Israel doesn't face its own faults, why do have so many internal investigations like that following the Lebanon War in 2006? We're more self-critical than anyone on the planet, but not to the point where we accept a blame that is not our's.
79. #71
(08.28.12)
Tell your sob story to the Armenians and Kurds.
80. ISM led to this womans death & should be condemned
zionist forever   (08.28.12)
ISM brainwash people into believing that its a good idea to carry out wild and crazy stunts to get the palestinian cause some media attention and try damage Israel. If they were a responsible group they would say lets go to Gaza with banners and stand in the streets out of harms way and protest. It might not grab the headlines but they get to make their point when you encourage people to do crazy things then they will do it and some of them will get killed or injured in the process.
81. UNBELIEVABLE
Matthew Gregory ,   USA   (08.28.12)
Vote for Pedro. Israel doesn't deserve support from the US. Financial or Military.
82. # 43 Hey steve blowhard, where'd you get your brains in
Moshe ,   Usa   (08.28.12)

Wait until my fellow USA citizens are tired of arobs & you will see a great expullsion right in front of your dumb brains. They are already tired of arob no gooders in Michigan & are already clearing them out ! Check it out idiot !
83. #48
Jane   (08.28.12)
You are brain dead and hopefully have no children. A parent's responsibility is forever. She began her activities at 18. Furthermore she was not murdered, your agenda notwithstanding.
84. The thing I don't understand is ...
(08.28.12)
why are people like Rachel Corrie called "peace activists"? They don't want PEACE; they want one side to destroy the other side. They want a victory for Islamists over the western world. They have ZERO problem with dead and murdered Jews or conservative Christian Americans. Didn't that used to be called a TRAITOR?
85. #68 I am an American and your kind makes me sick
Frank ,   USA   (08.28.12)
If the USA is 9/11, Israel is 24/7 courtesy of the terrorist supporters like the Corries.
86. No tears, no compassion
Bruno ,   USA   (08.28.12)
No tears from the heartless coward war mongers here, but... they will ALL have their time to cry yet, an ocean of tears. May every word come back to you then in that hour of despair. And most importantly, NO compassion.
87. #11
jb@dsl.ca ,   Canada   (08.28.12)
Your stupidity and Jew-hatred has no bounds. Have you lynched a "darkies" ? you bloody foul untermensch?
88. #62
yesjb ,   Canada   (08.28.12)
Read the evidence, dummy! All you jew-haters are out in full force. It doesn't matter what the evidence is. We cant have Jews defending themselves-ever. You and your like-minded rabble will always find a way to blame the Jews. If this had happened in the US, the police would have shot her--end of story!
89. #71
yesjb ,   Canada   (08.28.12)
Spoken like a true Islamist Turk! A comment like that can only come from an illiterate, vain cowardly untermensch who is only too happy to skewer the Jews for their own lack of ability. Just wait...your day is coming soon when you will be embroiled with the Syrians and then you'll be crying to Israel for help..."wah wah wah"!
90. #39 - is that why Israeli Judiciary is highly respected?
William ,   Israel   (08.28.12)
Many, many States hold the Israeli Judicial system in high regard. mostly because their opinions include actual lawmakers and those in the law profession, and not Leftist hacks with an agenda, like you. Rachel willingly put herself in harm's way, as her own diary has shown, and paid with her life while defending a legitimate military target under Intl law. As for Tom Hurndall and James Miller - both entered a war zone without approval from the IDF, during a fire fight with terrorists. Tom did son in the evening, with a telephoto lens, and aimed it at a tank during the fire fight. And stupidity, he believed he wouldn't be mistaken as a terrorist with an anti-tank weapon. Notice that journalists who make the same mistake in Iraq, Syria, and other hotspots around the world also get killed - with NO intl outcry and no BDS movement response. And still many other journalists act responsibly and in the confines of the law, and do just fine.
