A tit-for-tat response to attacks will not work. What would Israel do, if Syrian chemical weapons, mounted on Libyan rockets, were to be fired into Israel? The Muslim attackers all claim that their attacks are pursuant to their religion. They are incited and eulogized by the Mullahs. Israel should recognize that it is the religious fervor that is used to drive the attackers that requires response. Israel should place explosives around the Al Aksa Mosque, and announce that the next attack on Israel will result in destruction of the Mosque. Enough of sitting by while synagogues and churches are destroyed, and Christians and Jews are killed, in the name of Islam. Tell the Mullahs that the decision to preserve or destroy the Mosque is theirs. Either stop the attacks, or cause the destruction of the Mosque. Doing so, and even the destruction of the Mosque, will not worsen the situation. It cannot be worsened. Muslims are already committed to the destruction of Israel, and death to the Jews, and are doing their best to make that happen. "Worse" simply means allowing that to continue.
