91. #88 Stan. Repeating same old brain dead leftist mantra..
Cham ,   Israel   (11.14.12)
#88. It merely takes one glance at a map to prove you wrong. Nothing could be more obvious than the fact that Israel is not viable without our ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria. Repeating the same old brain dead leftist mantra won't change anything. Ever fewer are listening. Judea and Samaria are the heart and sould of Israel. That is the fact.
92. To No. 91
Bertram ,   London, UK   (11.15.12)
Poor Chaim. The same old head-in-sand mantra. See my post at #90 to understand that it's all about who wins, not 'ancestral heartlands'. If everyone used the latter to justify their actions the map of the world would look totally different from what it does now. It is time for all concerned - Palestinians included - to forget this stuff and concentrate on forging a lasting peace through pragmatic politics instead of destructive warfare. This is not 'leftist' or 'rightist' or 'centrist' - it's commonsense. The other alternative is mutually assured obliteration.
93. Israel got out from Gaza
Rachel   (11.15.12)
The Gazan leadership and different fractions attack Israel all the time. To give more land to these arabs would mean that the attacks with rockets will come from there too. The only solution is that these arabs get back to the countries they originated from - Egypt, Jordan, Syria, etc.
94. #92. Total Israeli victory is the answer, and its achievable
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.15.12)
#92. I'm not poor. Nor do Israel and "Palestinians" have equal claims to our land. This land has belonged to Jews for more than 3,500 years. The answer is total Israeli victory and paying "Palestinian" poseurs to leave forever. Moreover, Israel is fully capable of achieving such victory. Israel has defeated opponents far stronger than "Palestinian" poseurs.
95. To # 89 Jonathan thank you for asking
Stan ,   Israel   (11.15.12)
The only solution is through negotiation. At present both sides are "dragging their feet" Both sides continue to put forward excuses and blame the other side for not beginning negotiations. The problem is that TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE. Israel's support base is Europe and the USA. For over a decade, I have been saying that Western Europe and USA are changing. YOU ARE 100% CORRECT about Europe, and now we see the beginning of the change in USA. Who knows how much longer our support base will tolerate an army of occupation in territory which only Chaim, Sarah B and their like think belongs to us. It's true that the situation is complicated. PA in the West Bank, and Hamas in Gaza. Some say that "Abbas is weak" or that when Abbas says that he wants a state "alongside Israel with the pre Six Day War borders and no return of refugees to Israel" he does not mean it. It is so simple, Israel should say to Obama "Arrange negotiations, we will be there" NO MORE PRECONDITIONS FROM EITHER SIDE. The longer the Palestinians wait, the more settlers there will be in Yosh. There is no APARTHEID in Israel, the same cannot be said about the rights of the Palestinians in Yosh, If the Pals reject negotiations outright, or do not agree to a solution which seems reasonable, then Israel will have been vindicated If PG an agreement can be achieved, then Hamas will find itself isolated, and much more international pressure can be brought to bare. on them.
96. #95. Israel is INFINITELY better off now.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.15.12)
#95 Stan. Israel has nothing to gain and everything to lose by negotiating with the P.A. or any other "Palestinian" body. We would gain nothing. However, we'd lose Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, freedom from constant rocket attacks, and our viability as a nation. Israel is INFINITELY better off now than with a "peace deal with Palestinians".
