61. Israel must change its approach fundamentally
David ,   Sacramento, USA   (11.28.12)
The amount of problems with the current paradigm of thought is staggering. The people of Israel today should not feel hopeful with the way things are currently progressing. After all, what do we see? Anti-Israeli groups are gaining strength, we see European nations becoming more vocal of Palestine's admittance into the U.N., and this (it can be argued) will only lead to other problematic relations in Europe, and elsewhere, in the future. What is Israel living for? Once it was that, when Israel became "Israel," a small group banded together. They didn't do so as a result of geographic terrain or genetic similarity. They banded together to live as one man with one heart, to "love thy friend as thyself," to agree to a mutual guarantee, the arvut, between them. Only then were they called "Israel." But they have long since exited this. They have lost their unity, they have lost any sort of moral superiority which they once had. But today, as much or perhaps more than ever, it is needed again for unity to reign in Israel, for the mutual guarantee to again take its rightful place of dominance. It is not simply because external threats abound. Even this issue is multifaceted because if Israel is to be a light to the nations, then not fulfilling this role should be met with external pressure. So the idea that unity should be to trump some enemy is misguided. Unity for unity's sake, for bringing the world to unity. And this is what is needed and shows itself to become increasingly more needed. There is no solution today in Israel. There is no solution except for again realizing the necessity of the arvut, the mutual guarantee, and that this should be an example, a light for the nations.
62. the only solution
hassan ,   lebanon   (11.30.12)
the only solution for this issue or this cancer in the middle east as a lebanese point of view, is that all the so called zionists to go back to ur country of origin and leave the area in peace for all religions." Israel " is the headache of this middle east . dont waste ur time in finding other solutions 99% of the arabs think the same way and this will not stop even after ten generations. hope the peace will fall in the middle east.
