Hello Rob, thank you for your interest, but I really don't know how I can help you and give you the information you require via Ynet. You can understand, by now, that some other people will use those details. And it is really not the right time. I will think about it and may be come up with some idea.... but right now I am afraid that I already gave to much information. I still don't understand why I answered the questions of that very deranged person who claims that being an hidden child during the nazi time is not being a survivor !!!!!!!!!!!!

I completely understand. Thank you for the time you spent even responding to my post. I hope the future is brighter than the past for you and your beloved family. I personally consider you very important to Israel and to the world. If you ever consider corresponding, I will see to it that it is confidential, even if I have to travel to Israel, which Im planning next summer. You ARE a survivor. Shalom Helene, Shalom Israel, rob

I wouldn't meet with you if you were the last person on the face of the earth. You're a fraud and a phony. How dare you call yourself a Holocaust survivor?

This TB has been exceptionally verbose this time around, and I see there is a serious rift between those that were 'hidden' as opposed to 'interned'. I have never been aware of this schism . How telling it is that the two generations cant see eye to eye, even today. This sad episode of the survivor being neglected, fired so many unspoken emotions that I almost feel a compulsion to study it further. I would ask that those with similar experiences vocalize the reality as they see it, and perhaps something can be done to repair this terrible rift. The two posters at war with each other are equally important to Israel and the world. Both 'survivors' of the terrible things that humans do to each other. Be it first hand or the legacy of mental illness or isolation due to their parents/relatives treatment/deprivation in those putrid camps. Let it not continue, as those that were defeated and cast to the waste bin of history dont deserve the last word. To Helene and Sarah; peace. Shalom Israel, rob

I am confused. Having read and responded to tens(perhaps hundreds) of of TB's with you,(sometimes I admit not pretty ones) I must rely on your experience, wisdom and gut feelings on these issues of identity and veracity. How can one discern the truth when so many sides are so vehement that theirs is the 'truth' and the rest a lie? This appears to be a very real pain and the solution is not clear to me at all. I try to do my part when it comes to independent verification of statements made by those that claim to be survivors, but as vividly shown during this TB it is near impossible to hash out. (it didn't help that there are a million authors/contributors named 'Helene'!) If I may indulge you in a personal question; What are the percentages of elderly folks in Israel that claim to be survivors that aren't'? Is this a problem? Now Im really confused... Shalom Sarah. Shalom Israel, rob

What's the matter? Didn't much care for being outed as a fraud and a phony?

First, Ido Dueiv and Beersheva students, you guys are amazing!! I was literally sobbing reading this story. You are so inspiring and I it's hard for me to describe the feeling that came over me when I read how you helped this poor woman. May God bless you all! Second, I know Ido Dueiv mentioned that he doesn't want to judge her daughter and family because he doesn't know their situation. However, I have a mother (ad 120) and I am a daughter and no matter what "situation" , even if my mother lived across the world for me, there is NO WAY IN HELL I would be able to function for a second knowing my mother is living like that. I hope her kids read this post and if you do, you should all be so ashamed of yourself!! Aside that your mother has been through hell and back in Auschwitz, knowing that your mother is ill and letting her live in those conditions sickens and disgusts me! Are you telling me that this poor woman's children could not do everything the Beersheba students did??? They couldn't call anyone? I'm sorry, but if that's the way they let their mother live they all deserve to be in jail!! What goes around comes around!
