From a purely legal stand point, I'm not sure the occupation thing would fly. from one party's stand point they are disputed, another standpoint it occupied. The green line is not a border contrary to what most Europeans think. It is only the point where both parties held when a truce was declared during a war. If Jordan handed the west bank to the Palestinians to create a country when they held it, maybe the Palestinians would have had a more solid platform to talk about occupation.
