I don't live in a mansion. Just a really, really nice apartment. Terrorists are not human beings. No sane human being deliberately sets out to harm innocent civilians riding a bus, or visiting a restaurant, or even taking the London tube. Never mind the death and destruction on the tube, do you remember how the Brits put down the rioters in London not so long ago? I do; would you like me to remind you? By the way -- learn English. It's spelled "ensconced." I also live in Israel six months of the year. I've mentioned it often enough -- I guess you haven't been paying attention, or you've got attention span deficiencies. That would account for your shocking memory lapse as to the degree of force used to put down the rioters in London. And the use of force made it stop, right? The ersatz "Palestinians" understand only the language of violence, destruction and terror. That is the language, then, which Israel must use. Anything else is futile. Why would you characterize people who happen to agree with my views as "fans?" That's demeaning. Does it bother you that Israelis are growing increasingly fed up with the violent proclivities of the ersatz "Palestinians?" It is they who are responsible for the rightist trend in Israel today, not me, and not anyone else. Israelis are just fed up. We've tried making land concessions, and that hasn't brought peace. We've tried giving the ersatz "Palestinians" autonomy, and that hasn't worked. They, in the meantime, have contributed nothing at all except laundry lists of demands. Is it any wonder that the Israeli electorate has moved to the right? What did you THINK would happen?

The ersatz "Palestinians" are indigenous to the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert. They are relative newcomers to Judea and Samaria, arriving well after the Jews. Jordan made Judea and Samaria Judenrein in 1948. Of course legal does not equal moral. I personally find it repulsive when information about defendants is withheld from juries in criminal trials because it would be excessively prejudicial. I mean, really -- what right does a jury have to know that someone who is charged with rape has been charged with rape on six previous occasions, convicted twice? (That was actually a recent case in New York. The defendant walked. He'll ply his trade again, soon.) Humanism, by the way, only works when the kindness and generosity of spirit which is given is in some way returned in kind. The only things the ersatz "Palestinians" have ever returned with involve violence, rioting, belligerence, threats and terror. It's time to move to sterner stuff.

How do you live with yourself, knowing Sweden's history of Nazi collaboration? Think we never heard of Alex Wenner-Gren? The only reason Germany didn't invade Sweden is because they didn't have to -- the Swedes were among the most willing of collaborators.

England, the Netherlands and Denmark, for starters. Those countries. All within the past two years. But you purportedly come from Ohio. Ever hear of Kent State?

Didn't Danish police fire into a crowd of rampaging rioters just a short while ago? How many were killed -- eleven, twelve? But I guess it's okay if Denmark does it -- well, guess what? Israel is a sovereign state. What's good enough for Denmark -- and considered perfectly acceptable -- should certainly be good enough for Israel -- and equally acceptable. (I know exactly what happened in Denmark, even though it barely made American newspapers. I read a good cross-section of international press on a daily basis. That's how I know all about the rioting and the brutal suppression of the rioters by Danish police. Care to account for that?)

"The ersatz "Palestinians" are indigenous to the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert. They are relative newcomers to Judea and Samaria, arriving well after the Jews." Maybe you would care to cite the evidence. If you cannot, you might at least accept there are diverse accounts of the origins of the Palestinians but which seem to agree in not generally placing their origins in the Arabian Desert. Moreover, DNA studies would tend to identify Palestinians as close cousins to (hush my mouth) Jews. I fear that you may be confused between culture, language and religion on the one hand - and ethnic origins on the other. Understandable.

Using Bible as argument, saying Palestinians occupy your land...do you guys live in the moon? Also, Paulo, I happen to be Israeli and Jewish and do care about what is happening in Israel, which right now is in a very bad situation.

DNA provides the evidence, as does the archeological and written historical record. You need look no further than Ottoman and British Mandatory census records. Do a little research. You should also look up the "Cohen gene." While that genetic marker shows up in some surprising places, the one place it is markedly absent from are the ersatz "Palestinians." Like I said -- their DNA places them squarely in the Hejaz in the Western Arabian desert. By the way -- you are confusing linguistics with ethnic origins. There is no genetic correlation between Greeks and Jews, but the Greek alphabet begins "alpha, beta, gamma, delta" and the Hebrew alphabet begins "aleph, bet, gimmel, dalet." Similarly, Hebrew counting begins "ahad, shtaim, shalos, arba" and Arab counting begins "wahad, tnein, talata, arba." No genetic correlation between Jews and Arabs, however -- in fact, it's remarkable for its absence. Except until you realize that we do not stem from the same roots -- no matter what Arabs would have you believe. So many feet have trod through the region, it's really remarkable. No fear, Bertram -- I understand your intellectual failings -- didn't you equate simple assault with attempted murder on another thread just the other day?

Still no citation of evidence from you? Just incoherent, rehearsed drivel, Sarah B. Not to worry. Anyhow, try this: Nebel et al., High-resolution Y chromosome haplotypes of Israeli and Palestinian Arabs reveal geographic substructure and substantial overlap with haplotypes of Jews. Human Genetics Vol. 107, No. 6, (December 2000), pp. 630–641.

That's a low blow. Ugly, too. Besides -- I'm sure my "hate" would be mitigated if only the ersatz "Palestinians" could learn to act like human beings, and not craven terrorist jackals and hyenas. But I guess you cannot teach a terrorist dog new tricks. Because absolutely nothing has changed with respect to the ersatz "Palestinians." They have always been, and remain, violent thugs. They are the architects of their condition, yet they have the nerve to fault Israel. But that's standard operating procedure for them -- nothing is EVER their fault; they have NEVER been responsible for harsh Israeli measures (stemming from their violence and terror). The ersatz "Palestinians," to hear them tell, are merely innocent babes in the woods. Of course, each of the charters of the thirty-odd ersatz "Palestinian" organizations calls for the destruction of the State of Israel; the hard-line organizations call for the extermination of the Jews, whereas the so-called "moderate" organizations merely call for the expulsion of the Jews and the expropriation of their property. You have named yourself quite aptly. Your brain is about the size of that of a sparrow -- meaning no disrespect to sparrows.

Plenty of citation of evidence. Don't you know how to do research? But why did you fail to address my responses to your ridiculous analogizing? And did you know that you are citing a genetic expert whose expertise is in the area of aging (Almut Nebel)? The study you quote has been discredited. Back to the research desk for you!

Dave, everyone in the world lives on "Occupied Land". For instance, are you a Native S. American Brazilian, or did your ancestors move their in the last 200 Years? The Spanish and Portuguese took Brazil by force and conquest. On the other hand, Jews have been in Israel for over 5000 years. So who is occupying who's land?

Your ridiculous post doesn't really merit a response but never mind. No, modern Israelis do not generally speak Aramaic, nor do they practice pre-Talmudic Judaism. The Palestinians' homeland is the Arabian peninsular? Why? Because they are native Arabic speakers? As absurd as saying England is the home of all native English speakers!

Jacques VITENBERG ,   France   (12.07.12)
#1 Obama not guilty Too many jewish organisations spoke and speak of the cease fire line of 1949 as a frontier line or an armistice line.. It was not the case. Even Liebermann spoke once of a swap between Uhm el Farm and settlements in judea samaria. A swap is an exchange between a land which is yours and a land which is not yours and is the property of somebody else... So, Liebermann spoke of Judea Samaria as a palestinian property!!!
