61. @ Sarah B
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (01.21.13)
You are delusional at best. If the US didn't/wouldn't protect Israel diplomatically it would been like a South Africa, boycotted by almost every nation in the world. I am not saying Israel couldn't survive, but anybody who could leave Israel would flee because if you think gasoline, cars, coke, etc is expensive now in Israel, just imagine a global boycott. Don't discount a UN veto because some do come with teeth.
62. To: No. 61
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.21.13)
Well, I think you've forgotten the fact that Israel controls two of the largest natural gas fields ever discovered. Which Israel makes available to the Europeans at deep discounts. Trust me -- we can genuinely care less about a United States veto. The United Nations is a joke, at best. What teeth? The United States? Can you spell Somalia, baby? Some teeth. Don't worry about us, sweetheart. We can manage.
63. Shreik, Kakkle & Droll, Sarah B is right
Yosi ,   Gilo-Jerusalem   (01.21.13)
But don't let that stop you from all the assinine and pompous lying statements that you always make. Without our technology, you wouldn't have the ceramic armour on any vehicle or person, you wouldn't have the remote aircraft that have been so effective against these same muslims, your phone, your medicine.... I dare to think that most people that read your post find you, at least funny and at most, sad.
64. Fragile Alliance
Martin Schwartz ,   Montclair, NJ. USA   (01.21.13)
Ambassador Pincus's views are simply wrong. They are reflective only of the "give away the store".. peace now liberals who do not really represent the true "progressive" position on Israel here in America - both among Jews and non-jews alike. Pincus just doesn't get that our President's position on Israel and the Palestinian conflict is not really in the mainstream of either the democratic or republican parties and that most elected officials in America do not agree with Obama's take. Just because they don't publicly criticize Obama's handling of the mid-east doesn't mean members of his own party fully agree with him. And although Obama admitted in an interview that he had not managed the intricacies of the mid-east particularly well during his first term, it's clear he has still not learned his lessons by again squeezing Bibi and Israel again. Obama has not found a way to be productive to move the conflict towards resolution. Instead, he continues to take the quick path to pressuring Israel and its Prime Minister to make more concessions or to refrain from punishing the Palestinians for violence or their violation of earlier agreements. The PA seeking a UN imposed solution is a clear violation of the Oslo accords. Therefore Israel was well within its rights to respond. Consequently, it is Prime Minister Netanyahu's centrist and responsible handling - requiring reciprocal results after concessions or willing to administer tough quid pro quo's to both the PA and Hamas if necessary after violence -- that has actually created a much quieter relationship between the waring parties. At the sane time, Bibi has prevented more Israeli concessions in the face of 'quick fix' Europeans pressures who do not have to live with the ramifications of the edicts which they are so free to advocate. In short, Alon Pincus doesn't get it and he only represents a limited constituency view. It's a view that is set to lose the democratic elections in Israel in two day time.

SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   HOORN NH, HOLLAND   (01.21.13)
EVERY COUNTRY/NATION-STATE FIRST THINKS OF IT'S OWN NATIONAL INTERESTS, SOVEREIGHNITY, INDEPENDANCE, SELF-DETERMINATION AND HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO IT'S OWN PEOPLE, WITHOUT BECOMING (TOO) DEPENDANT OF ANOTHER COUNTRY. UNFORTUNATELY THE MAJORITY OF THE VOTE IN THE UN IS FORMED BY BACKWARD ARAB AND ISLAMIC DICTATORSHIPS WHO ARE VERY HOSTILE TO ISRAEL AND TO OTHER (WESTERN) DEMOCRATIC COUNTRIES, WHO REFUSE TO SURRENDER TO BLACKMAIL, ISLAM, KORAN, SHARIA-LAW AND TO DICTATORSHIP VOLUNTARILY FORTUNATELY. UNDEMOCRATIC, DICTATORIAL COUNTRIES SHOULD NOT HAVE A UN-MEMBERSHIP ACCORDING TO THE UN-PREAMBULE , THE UN-CHARTER AND THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, BECAUSE THEY VIOLATE HUMAN RIGHTS ALL THE TIME A.S.O.

Why don't you check who invented ceramic armour and remote aircraft before posting your hasbara crap here and make a XXXL idiot of yoursef ,...

68. #66 split - read #63 again
solomon ,   bklyn   (01.22.13)
The post alludes to the fact that an Israeli company is mounting the armor on US military vehicles. If it's not the armor they invented, it's the system. Israel has also shown the way in using all capabilities of the UAV. (Read about Israel's taking out the Syrian reactor, and the multiple roles given UAV's.) The only crap is yours...as usual.
69. #60 Complete and utter delusion
Kim ,   UK   (01.22.13)
I'm quite surprised posters here have not figured out that Sarah B is a troll and wants Israelis to look bad. She would like nothing more than to see the US dump Israel as an ally (which would, quite obviously, be the biggest existential threat Israel has faced.) It's time to learn a little humility, boys and girls. Israel is highly dependent on the US, while the US pretty much only gets flak from its alliance with Israel. If you don't learn humility, you might have another 2000 years without a state.

solomon ,   bklyn   (01.22.13)
and for once you've got it right. Your abject avoidance of addressing anything in my post proves that you have no idea of what you are talking about.
72. Who cares what Israelis have invented?
Dan ,   --   (01.22.13)
All sorts of nations invent stuff and the cost is not billions of dollars in US aid to them. Are posters really trying to claim that if the US dumps Israel as an ally that --somehow-- Israeli inventions won't find their way to the US? The US doesn't provide aid to Switzerland, does this mean that Americans won't have access to swiss watches? And as far as silly little military inventions go, who cares again? The US will soon be out of Afghanistan and won't need all the little gizmos that Israelis have invented in order to help them survive the "forever war" that their leaders have got them into. Bottom line: let Israel go its own way and see how they like it. Being alone, having to struggle to pay for their military, having the UNSC sanction them...all this might make them learn to not act so arrogantly.

If you take a time and check what they claim they have 'invented' or 'improve' you'll find that it comes to nothing or almost nothing and that they're bragging counting on ignorance just like this jerk @ 63 ,...
74. #72 dan, #73 split
solomon ,   bklyn   (01.23.13)
The truth lies in the middle. Israel needs the US more than the US needs Israel. But the US gets a hell of a lot out of the arrangment. Most of the funds to Israel are spent in the US. Israel is training our troops in combat in built up areas of that part of the world. It shares intelligence with the US; intelligence that is difficult for Israel to obtain, but impossible for us. It also shares improvements it makes on US equipment. It is a two way street. Or are you saying you'd rather forego Israel's help, and therefore see more of our troops killed? BTW: the cause of the forever war is the arabs. They will not accept Israel and Hamas is sworn to kill the Jews. But you wouldn't know truth if it stared you in the face...which it is doing right now. Oh, and split has been proved wrong on his denigrating inventions and improvements by Israelis and Jews. He just keeps writing the same crap over and over again.
75. 74 - Most of the funds to Israel are spent in the US.
split ,   US   (01.24.13)
Same crap re-hashed again - Why don't we handle all the military aid money including 25% that stays in Israel (around $4 billion with funds for Iron Dome) directly to those that Israel ass kissers on Capitol Hill have extorted from by imposing taxes and spare us an administrative overhead and keep this crap going not to mention Muslim hate for our 'efforts' to keep you afloat ,... All those 'lucky' workers that you you insist you keep employed by paying with money stolen from them can't afford to take a vacation and spend some time with their kids on their backyard not to mention a week of fishing or camping - Get lost !!! ,...
76. 71 - avoidance of addressing anything in my post ,...
split ,   US   (01.24.13)
There's nothing to address, he's an ignorant or a liar stating 'Without our technology, you wouldn't have the ceramic armour on any vehicle or person, you wouldn't have the remote aircraft', which is not true. You didn't invent or utilise those inventions first as he claims and that's a fact easy to prove if you take the time to check it,...
77. #74, #76 split
solomon ,   bklyn   (01.25.13)
Those workers have jobs. Without jobs there is no vacation, Simple. I agree that #63 is wrong. But you still avoid commenting on my #68 as your eyes are tightly shut against any reality that proves you wrong. Your avoidance switch is still 'on'.

'Israeli company is mounting the armor on US military vehicles' - I have a question, are we shipping those military vehicles, helicopters, planes, even ships there by air or by water? ;) ,... Google "21st-Century Armor", good article on this subject, also to find that ceramic armor protected our soldiers in Korea and Vietnam, wars although not as good as the one we have today but it was called a ceramic armor already then,...

Following your logic assume that you're car dealer and I'm a client - Now apply those rules in our transactions that is; give me a $100 000 credit line so I can cash $25 000 first then I'll get back to you to "buy" the best stuff you got on the floor of course below the MSRP (manufacturer suggested retail price) and don't complain because I as you know I'm the one that keeps your business going and your sales and service people working. A want to see how long are you going to stay in business ,... By the way I'll be the one who will decide what and to whom you can sale the remaining stuff on your floor and in the making. No Ferraris to my neighbors of course and nothing as good and advanced as the stuff on my driveway and my garrage, no sir ,... Spare me the crap of "testing" and "improving" our toys due to your experience in war scenario because it doesn't fly anymore. We're at war for a dozen of years also spare me your pointing finger at Palis and reminding me who wants to kill whom because frankly it's not my problem and I don't give a damn. You created this crap you deal with it, leave me slone and out of it ,...

We ship them from Iran and Afghanistan; it's cheaper than shipping them to the US. You answer your own post. "not as good as the one we have today" the tank of 1914 is also not as good as the tank of today, but it was "already then" called a tank. The Israeli company installs it better and less expensively. If you don't care that much about the lives of our soldiers, don't post. And do your homework before you start arguing. Do it even before you post.
81. #79 split
solomon ,   bklyn   (01.27.13)
US manufacturers still make money on the deal, so your comparison is bogus. The US just sold our best planes to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, so your comparison is bogus. We have been at war for dozens of years, but with litte experience in aerial combat. Israel does improve on our planes, and those improvements are shared with the US whether you like it or not. Who wants to kill whom may not be your problem (because of your hate), but it is reality. Reality is something you assiduously avoid; your posts prove it. The arabs created it...oops, I forgot. You avoid reality. If you want to be left out of it, don't post. Meanwhile, do your homework before you start arguing.
82. 81 - US manufacturers still make money on the deal,
split ,   US   (01.27.13)
Manufactures don't make anything on rock bottom prices dealing with you, to make it up they have to rise their prices for their toys to other customers, that makes them less competitive. The US taxpayer that pays for this crap is the loser at the end of a day just like the Germans that paying for their Dolphins. Unlike you the Saudies are buying those planes paying with hard cash and not getting some latest gizmos reserved for you by 'our' ass kissing lawmakers,... Let me ask you something pal, if this is such a good business why there's no Japanese, Koreans or other business oriented nations lining up to get those contracts are they stupid or what? For instance it's a known fact and expert's opinion that the Korean K2 Black Panther is better and much cheaper than our M1 Abrams so why are the Koreans not knocking your door down trying to sell it and why are you 'buying' our inferior toys if theirs are better and for less, are you stupid too or what?,...
83. 80 - You answer your own post.,...

I have made a point that you didn't invent it, it was invented long time ago also I can add that you didn't improve it too or utilise first ,... "We ship them from Iran and Afghanistan" - It must be a top secret because I can't find anything ;) ,... You're pathetic trying to sell this bullsh*t ,...
