i am looking at big picture here, erdoğan could mess the economy up just like past inept goverments yet he was quite succefull to maintain what kemal dervis brought and built on it, kemal dervish himself said akp is doing economy really good, fed recent actions had some effects on all emergins markets one of them was turkey and central bank will always try to control lira against foreing currencies thats what they are for 46 why would it emberass me while i know the statment is just comical and funny if not proven, its his personal opinion (whatever the bakround of this story is) not mine you have got to get used to politics of this part of the world if i was israeli my primary reaction to erdoğan would be like a laugh to conan obrein :) look i been following this site for 4 years maybe now and thre is one person here who always uses the word "soon" for every country in bad manner, that soon never comes, dont be the second person 3 cheers for israel this time i mean it ;)

Erdogan might fall, but he might not. Europe and Obama supported both Erdogan and Morsi but their failures mean they are no longer a factor. Egypt collapsed because their war against Israel and corruption led to them not being able to feed themselves. Turkey has enough food, water and energy to be self-sufficient. In Egypt the Saudis view Morsi as a threat so paid Sisi to take over, but the Saudis need Erdogan to fight Jihad against Shia in Syria.
64. So be careful Erdogan!

After Morsi you are the next...

thats cause before 2001 turkish economy was small scale all emerging countries will have more debts than before they started growing that is the natural way of economy, japan has over 5 trillion debt germany has 3 trillion burak bekdil is politically motivated person i dont credit his opinion on such matters, why dont you bother and read some internationl publications over turkish economy then i think you would have bettr idea or dont, just belive your instincts :)
66. I feel for the people of Turkey
Chris ,   Washington, DC, USA   (08.20.13)
It is very sad that the people of Turkey have as their leader a person who could hold such irrational views. This is absolutely nuts. Yet, the most important policy decisions are being made by the man who spouts this kooky nonsense. Most people of Turkey wish to live normal, prosperous lives, and reasonable governance and good relations with their neighbors will be critical toward that end. However, their Erdogan is showing that reason is a major weakness of his.

Israelis are not going to Turkey because of its beaches, they have cleaner and safer beaches, but they care for culture, archeology, cuisine and mental stimulation, art and music something thats foreign in Turkey

70. Erdogan
RC ,   USA   (08.20.13)
Well we know that the horse that bucked him trampled his testicles, but the fall could also have scrambled his brain. He should get a brain scan for a possible blood clot or brain tumor. That would explain his delusional hallucinations and temper tantrums. That would make him mentally unfit to govern though.
71. He's right!
Jarvis ,   Joseph USA   (08.20.13)
But its not the state of Israel that is responsible. It is He Himself.

The middle east would be a better place if run by Jews.
74. Laughable if it wasn't so serious.
Steve ,   Gwent, UK   (08.20.13)
Turkish intelligence ?! Evidence?! A couple of weeks after another intelligence failure, Turkey released a bird (kestrel?) suspected of spying for the Israelis. X-rays performed by Turkish government departments deducted that no hidden espionage technology was concealed within the bird, and that it was highly unlikely the bird would be wilfully acting as a Zionist spy of its own accord. Hence its release by Turkey. This just illustrates how the' lunatics appear to be running the asylum' under Erdogan, and how they are prepared to believe literally anything to deflect from the dire failings within the entire Arab-Islamic world, just in order to blame the Israelis. In closing it appears that at this time a shark and squirrel, also suspected of spying for the Israelis, remain in detention in Egypt and Iran. Legal representation has allegedly been denied on both counts.... if it wasn't so serious it would be laughable.

It’s funny how the world calls us the devil and they couldn’t be more right, we're the silent death that you will never see coming - one moment you're praising Alah *cough* Ba'al *cough* and the next you have a JDAM shoved up your rear. I smell trouble a’brewing in Turkey, might be that silent death lurking around hahaha.
82. PM Erdogan
Ed ,   Goodyear Arizona   (08.20.13)
When are the cecent people of Turkey going to wake up and get rid of that bozo called the PM. His remarks are really stupid and unlike a PM should be. A while back this idiot said"Muslims don't kill Muslims". Has anyone opened up a newspaper without reading of Sunnis and Shites killing each other.
83. #61 Anton - why embarrased
Ben ,   Chutzlaaretz   (08.20.13)
From a Turkish standpoint, Erdo's statements could be very bad for Turkey. Telling the world that Egypt's Military is an Israeli stooge, will likely back fire big time if Sissi retains control or a new government that respects the Army gets into power. Egyptians are just as proud of their nation as anyone else, Erdo's statement really denigrates them. From an Israeli and Jewish standpoint, yes we can laugh, but it is still sad that he feels the need to bolster his position by using the ignorance of masses and their willingness to blame Jews for all their problems. so in one statement he: Angers the Egyptians, treats the Turkish people as morons and alienates any remaining good will that existed in Israel for Turkey. None of this is good!

America doesn't have friends, it has Interests! Of course statistically, when you spew out so much garage, you're bound to hit a fact by mere accident eventually! I can't believe this country is still in NATO!
