Finally, YNet in English. You can't imagine how pleased I am and after a quick browse it all looks very interesting. One weird thing, why are the temperatures for the weather given in fahrenheit and not centigrade. This is Israel not England! Modify please

Despite your "Recommendation received" centigrade/Celsius has still not been added at least 8 1/2 hours after you received the comment. Despite having grown up with fahrenheit I have been here so long that I (and probably others like me) no longer relate to it . Many likely users throughout the world have never used it.

Demanding changes after 8.5 hours? It's a beta site. They'll check out defects, take recommendations (however valid, I agree) and then sit in hours of meetings to go over what to put up. Don't you know how the modern office works? Please add Dilbert to the comics page(to educate people on life) Please add a Hebrew link for those who might get the urge to go to the original. Maariv went under, among other reasons IMO, because it posted summaries of translations as opposed to entire articles, and well, Maariv is a tabloid and that reflected on the site too. I hope you go further than yediot and ynet does with 'news'. Otherwise, there's no doubt that ynet is quite comprehensive in other areas and this is to your advantage.

Your site looks fantastic and I look forward to becoming a regular reader. One suggestion. I am probably not alone in needing an English language news site but wanting to improve my Hebrew skills. Perhaps you could feature one or two articles a day in both English and Hebrew so I and people like me can improve our Hebrew. Thanks.

I am a decades long Zionist and a proud American Jew. This web site in English is wonderful for those of us who don't understand Hebrew and appreciate a somewhat different pespective on what is going on in Israel. It's like reading the LA Times, the NYTimes and then the New York Post.

Ynet reporting and general milieu is neither fair nor balanced. It is definitely a biased leftist organ. This is evident to anyone who reads the negative talkback of the majority of Hebrew readers. Ynetnews will probably delight Israel`s critics worldwide and this is the last thing we need nowadays.

As a newshound and frequent visitor to Israel, with many family and friends living there (including my daughter), I am thrilled that you now have an English langiage site to complement your outsanding newspaper. Just one minor suggestion: drop the "h" in Yedioth. In Hebrew it's Yediot, why not in English, too? Thank you, good luck -- and I'll be visiting your site on a daily basis.

Dear Sir, I was quite surprised to find that the temperatures for the weather forecasts are in Fahrenheit and not in Centigrade (Grad Celsius). Israel, as you know, is using the metric system. I understand that most English-speakers are US-based and therefore will use Fahrenheit, but I do think, as an Israeli newspaper, Ynet should at least use both, Fahrenheit and Centigrade. Please state temperatures in Celsius. I am an Australian and cannot relate to Farenheit. Apart from the U.S. everybody in the world uses Celsius.

To Hazel: I think you'll find that here in ol' Blighty (Britain) we too use Centigrade. It's those Yanks who use Fahrenheit.

It's great to have an English site - please show the weather report in centigrade as well.
