After the explosion, another truck full of Hamas gunmen drove by; the gunmen were using their feet to stop 6 rockets from bouncing around in the truck bed. [Washington Post] This behavior by Hamas demonstrates -- not surprisingly -- how little Hamas cares for Palestinian lives. They drive trucks loaded with high explosives through densely populated urban areas. They drive trucks loaded with rockets around in densely packed rallies. They apparently don't have the basic common sense to secure explosives. They encourage kids to crowd around trucks full of explosives rather than demanding that the kids keep their distance. And when their negligence and ineptitude results in an explosion that wounds dozens of teen agers, they make up absurd lies rather than admit their screw-up and face the consequences. Of course, this is standard fare for Hamas. Hamas actively recruits kids, encouraging them to throw rocks at soldiers, providing cover for Hamas terrorists armed with more lethal weapons. Kids get killed in the cross-fire. Any non-Palestinian group that engaged in such practices would be condemned universally for its use of child soldiers -- particularly since it uses these kids as "cannon fodder." Driving trucks full of explosives and terrorists around a rally is a standard part of the Hamas recruiting effort for their cannon fodder; the reason why Hamas did not keep the kids away from the truck was because it WANTED them there. So the deaths and injuries represent more blood on Hamas' hands. Of course, Hamas' hands are drenched in blood, and one more example of Hamas attrocities and Hamas negligence, this time committed against their own people, is hardly anything new. Nor are lies from Hamas anything new. It's a cold day in hell when Hamas admits any kind of mistake; they always want everything to be Israel's fault. Although some of their brainwashed street thugs may display some degree of bravery, the Hamas leadership are simply a bunch of unbalanced gangsters who are afraid to own up to their own numerous screw-ups. While I don't laugh at the wounding of kids, I notice that most of those here who complained about the tone of earlier posts failed to condemn Hamas for deliberately putting the kids' lives at risk in the 1st place. This says a lot, doesn't it?

I find it most surprising that now that Israel's citizens and Army have moved out of Gaza, leaving the area for the Arabs to develop i.e. build homes; schools; businesses; Hospitals; develop farming areas , plus every other amentiy needed by a normal State - (The European Union have provided them with the financial aid to do this) - they still choose to burn, pillage and destroy everthing in site. By now, the Arabs of Gaza should at least have laid some sort of foundation for themselves and their children's future instead of walking around with guns and Kassam rockets. One wonders whether the tragic flooding in the U.S. at this time, is revenge from a higher authority for what the U.S. Government forced Israel to do. .

"Let the PA go to work" - (no. 24) The PA have got plenty of work to do in order to give their people a homeland in Gaza and have been given that opportunity. By now foundations should have been laid for this Homeland. It has not been done. It is by time they got stuck into building up a future for their people.

To the suffering teenage girl in Gaza who cannot sleep. The answer is very easy. Either start a Humanitarian group to educate the Hamas, or leave Gaza completely and go to a peaceful Arab State like Egypt or Jordan which are both near to you. There you will live in peace. If Hamas is preventing your people from living a peaceful life, go to another country which is peaceful. I left my country of birth 47 years ago, as a matter of fact, a very humane country, and came to the country where I feel all Jews can live in their Homeland. So, if you cannot live peacefully in Gaza, make a decision. You have 2 options - start a humantiarian group to teach the trouble makers to work and build up Gaza, or go to Jordan, Egypt or any other of the 22 Arab States around you. I am sure your family will agree and will follow you so that you will not break up your family. But you will have a life and happiness with an education and civility to look forward to.
