I'm sorry that you are caught in the middle of this, Yasmine. You seem to be a decent person. Please *DO* encourage your people to use common sense! We would all prefer to see Palestinian factions focus on building a civil society in Gaza instead of using Gaza as a base for attacking Israel. If the terrorist gangs (Hamas, etc.) did not insist on firing rockets and sending suicide bombers, there would be no Israeli responses at all, and Gaza would be at peace (assuming that the terror gangs would leave the rest of you alone). Peace in Gaza is EASILY within reach of the Palestinian leadership. All the PA needs to do is stop unbalanced idiots and terrorist street gangs from fighting private wars from Gaza. If the PA wants to fight Israel, let Abbas declare war on Israel and face the consequences. Otherwise, the PA needs to stop terror gangs from shooting rockets at neighboring countries. No state can survive if it allows every group of armed thugs to formulate its own foreign policy. Will the PA ever learn? 5 years ago, Ehud Barak offered to give up Gaza and most of the West Bank. But apparently Arafat and Hamas thought that negotiations weren't sexy enough. 5 years later, Hamas/etc. have cost you almost everything: you don't contol most of the West Bank, you have lost 1000s of lives, terror gangs parade with explosives in the streets, there is neither law nor order nor freedom, you have an economy in ruins, and Hamas is shooting stupid rockets at a country that probably has nuclear weapons. How can ordinary Palestinians allow morons like Hamas to claim "victory?" Palestinians should be executing the leaders of Hamas for high treason.
