Sharon is right about one thing - he is surely giving hope to some people, but certainly not to his own fellow Jews. He is giving hope to all on the deluded and appeasement oriented left, and most importantly to the PA/PLO Hamas Arabs. no, ariel sharon was not voted in as prime minister. we dont have that system anymore, you vote for a party and a platform.only then the leader of the largest party is invited to form a coalition. the platform strongly rejected disengagement espoused by the then opposing labour and amran mitzna. sharon did the decent thing and returned to the party to seek a change of platform and then did the undecent thing and rejected the results. the people never gave him a mandate, in fact the people rejected the platform of disengagement at the last elections. polls should not dictate policy, they are extremely unreliable, ask peres. and why have elections if we can just decide by polls. you have to get your facts correct, i know its probably hard to ascertian from prague.
