If Israel opened up a moshavim in Alaska, my god, we would have 500 pound cabbages. I've seen three potatos fit into a full sized garbage can here. Kibbutz Haogen and Kibbutz Maabarot and Mis Mar Hasharon were my favorite kibbutzim when I was a volunteer and ulpanim student. Jews are always welcome. Jews are originally from the region where modern day Israel is and ended up in Europe because they were conquered and expelled from their own country. In fact more than half the Israeli population is Jews from Middle Eastern countries such as Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon etc, because the arab/muslims don't want Jews in their countries, and apparently they don't want Jews to have their own country either. Arab countries also use the 'palestinians' as a pawn to continue their fight against a Jewish homeland. I would imagine everyone in this forum has some level of logic. Imagine each one of you is sitting in your own home and someone knocks on your door and asks you to leave. What would your response be?? Imagine someone knocks on your door and says "these people who have been living next door have decided they would like to live in these two rooms of your house". It is the only region in the entire world that has any form of connection to the religion of Judaism. We were granted our land back by the British. At that time the 'palestinians' were offered land for their own country to live side-by-side with Israel. They refused and that remaining land went to Egypt and Jordan. There never was a palestinian nation that had any form of nationalism, with their own government EVER, until Yasser Arafat decided to create this nation AFTER Israel was established. So you go read books and stop listening to propoganda. It's great that you know your history. Mandela did not create south africa. But he was a major influence of reform in south africa and he aided integration of many cultures in south africa. He is truly a great leader of our time and recognises that strength and leadership mean looking out for the greater good and looking generations ahead.
