OK so you proved my point. But still haven't answered my question: what is your solution? I mean, you must by now know that Hamas can not be defeated millitarily, every strike against them essentially makes them grow rather than shrink. Each time they are targeted they gain more supporters; for every one that's killed, more arise. So what I am trying to explain to you and trying to get it through Jane's thick skull, is that THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. If we can agree that Hamas is going to remain in existence, than what other way do we have of reaching peace?? It's not enough for you to say that you want peace, Arafat and Sharon said that hundreds of times and neither of them wanted it, you have to work for peace. A hudna is a start at least isn't it? I mean it must be a positive rather than a negative, hudnas don't kill people. If you think it's in our Holy Book to kill all non-Muslims (which is absolutely pathetically inaccurate in every sense of the word), then why aren't all Muslims declaring war on Israel? All I was trying to say is that why do you hold Hamas to their word when they say they want Israel's destruction, but call them liars when they say they want peace? What other choice do we have???

There can be no peace with HAMAS until HAMAS values repairing and rebuilding Palestinian society more than it values destroying Israel. The two cannot be done side by side.
63. Israel is an Aparthied State

The bottom-line in all this: setting up a state for one ethno-relgious group in a land where more than one existed was the basic mistake. Israel is set up as a state for one people -- which means one people have power -- over the other, who happen to be the natives. This is an obvious recipe for disaster and the primary reason for this conflict. Sure if the Palestinians submitted and forgae Israel for their dispossession and exclusion, we can have peace. But it makes far more sense to seek justice with the offender than it is to ask the victim to accept victimhood. And that my friends is the basic story. NO amount of PR, hasbara, propaganda, hudnas, peace processes, etc can escape this central fact. So deal with it, or deal with perpetual conflict.
