Anti-Jewish violence and murder were going on in Palestine before the official establishment of Israel. Just do some looking around online, those Brits put their foot down on Palestine when they were the targets, but didn't always come to the aid of the Jews living there. Why shouldn't Israelis defend themselves? I also believe Israel should allow non-Jewish-people full rights like an Israeli Jew, that one is just a matter of rights, not who is responsible for blowing each other up (If rights are already equal in Israel, well, in America we are taught they are not)

Israel was desolate and Jerusalem a literal ghost town prior to 1948. Now if you are going to quote resolutions from the UN, then you have to recognize Israel as a sovereign nation as established by the UN. The UN and the USA does not recognize a Palestinian State.
