British academic institutions are a shadow of what they once were and British degrees are not taken so seriously these days, so why take these lecturers seriously - they are mainly a pack of 3-day a week free lunchers spouting regurgigated material at bored students. 2. I would like to see these people try to live here without what they call the "exclusion wall". Have they forgotten why it is being built? If the Scots behaved like the Palestinians the English would put up a new hi-tech Hadrians Wall very rapidly indeed! 3. I am a dual citizen - British born and in Israel for 25 years. These academics bring shame on my "mother country" which my parents fought for during the second world war. Just ignore their pathetic rantings.

The Nuke-you-lar Mullacracy of Iran doesn't believe that the UK has a right to exist. These academics need to meditate on that concept for awhile.

The Jews are an intellectually gifted people, which is one of the reasons that the goyim hate us so much. Israel is disproportionately blessed with intellectual capital, hence our strides in technology, medicine, defense, the humanities and almost every academic or intellectual discipline one can think of. Countries like China and India - the next economic superpowers - understand the value of intellectual capital, and recognise and admire Israel's brain power. Israel should aggressively pursue academic, cultural, business and political ties with these countries to our mutual benefit. Meanwhile, we should offer Jewish students and academics an alternative to the anti-semitic British academic institutions. We've proved around the world that we can successfully run Jewish day schools, which generally significantly out-perform the average - why not implement this in higher education? The Technion, Hebrew and Tel Aviv Universities etc. should set up programmes in the UK to offer degree programmes in English. If we offer sufficiently attractive programmes and positions, we'll be able to attract many Jews, and others - some of the best and brightest minds - away from British institutions. When you cut through all the politics and bullshit, Israeli university qualifications - particularly in medicine, science, and technology - are highly esteemed, and both students and employers know that they are a mark of quality. Britain is now a third-rate post-colonial country characterised by football hooliganism, domestic violence, bad weather and soggy fish and chips. It has become, to paraphrase an arrogant French diplomat, a "shitty little country" (he was right with his description, just wrong about which country it described). I am a member of NATFHE and will be speaking with my union rep about this (although I don't expect much support). If this resolution passes I will certainly resign from the Union. This type of anti-semetic boycott is quite predictable from my compatriots. The media here has such a strong pro-palestinian bias that it is inevitable that Israel is seen in such negative light. The boycott is obviously anti-semitic since it singles out Israel alone where there are no logical grounds for doing so. When one arbitrarily singles out a particular group this is called discrimination. Discrimination against Jews is called anti-semitism. Logically the boycott must be discriminatrory. In any case I am making aliyah in June, the day I leave this shitty country can't come too soon.

In return, Israeli academic institutions should quintuple the royalties assessed organizations, firms, universities in the UK for the use and profit of intellectual property from Israel as just compensation.
