61. #48-palis not responsible?
Arie   (05.13.06)
So your argument is the palis are not responsible for VOLUNTARILY leaving in 48. Well, Israel is not responsible either since we asked the palis to stay! That said, put the blamne where it belongs and let them pick up the responsibility and the tab - the arabs!

Kief ya Muhammad, concess lu, banglisi = concede. Sachten wamabruk lamustakbal bacanadia.
63. 51Muhammad-Ali: wrong again Facts doesn't mean hate
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.13.06)
but why do you sit in Canada if you are possibly Lebanese ? Get reality Lebanon did not kick anyone - study details before you post BS
64. 58 john, london: Amazing how facts insult You - typical
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.13.06)

65. 60 moe chile: are you Osborne's brother in smoke habits ?
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.13.06)
it's time to get off it
66. # 48 John
yakov shani ,   afula   (05.13.06)
You can only have a stable peace with a partner who is mentally stable. I am sometimes cynical and sometimes sarcastic in my posts and even evil and facetious, but on the other hand I am oftentimes very serious. This is one of the more serious occassions
67. Gabrielle Goldwater
Moe Chile ,   London, Canada   (05.13.06)
Even if I did share his smoke habits, of which I do not, what is it that I am to get off of anyway? The fact that a vast majority of people would rather insult their fellow man instead of love them; the fact that we are doomed as a neo-democratic society; the fact that world consumes 1000 barrels of oil per second; the fact that the Middle East, North and South America, vast parts of Asia are nothing more than a fabrication of the colonial divisions of regimes that still to this day dominate the world stage; the fact that what is to come is to come? Please enlighten me as to what it is I am to get off of Gabrielle. Moe Chile
68. answers to Arie and Yakov
john ,   london   (05.13.06)
thank you for your answers. At least, you are polite contrary to some extravagant lady. (1) Arie, it is well documented that a part of the palestinians were expelled (i.e from Lod, or the northern galilee), other left because they were afraid by the fights. No evidence of arab radio calls has been provided. (2) I am not sure that people form hebron or kahanists are less crazy and dangerous than the hammasniks. I don't want to despair. Maybe I am wrong...
69. how did the Jews get ..
lynne   (05.13.06)
the right to return to thier so called promised land and Palesinians do not have the right to return to the land which they rightfully own .. knowing that Israel is nothing but a state with no borders established upon religious ideas where jews from all around the world were brought to settle in palestine and decide that Israel is a country!! What common sense!!
70. 67 Moe Chile: and You in Canada - A colonial fabrication
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.13.06)
of first choice indeed
71. 69 lynne: History isn't your strong point it shows
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.13.06)
study facts: Jews from time immortal always lived in their homeland Israel Look at the calendars: Israel / Jews live in the year 5766 Christians Western world lives in the year 2006 Islam's calendar only is at the H. Calendar of 1428 Do the math. <<<< The term "Palestinian" is itself a masterful twisting of history. To portray themselves as indigenous, Arab settlers adopted the name of an ancient Mediterranean tribe, the Philistines ("Invaders" in Hebrew), that disappeared out over almost 3000 years ago. The connection between this tribe and modern day Arabs is nil. Romans, in order to conceal their shame and anger with rebellious regions, changed the references to Judea and Samaria by naming them Palestine. 1. Nationhood and Jerusalem - Israel became a nation in the 14th century B.C.E. Two thousand years before the rise of Islam. 2. Since 1272 B.C.E. the Jews have had dominion over the land for up to 1,000 years with a continuous Jewish presence in the land for the past 3,300 years. 3. The only Arab dominion since the Arab invasion and conquest in 635 C.E. lasted no more than 22 years. 4. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to Jerusalem. 5. For over 3,000 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital. Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make it their capital and Arab leaders did not come to visit. 6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy Scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran. 7. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray facing Mecca (often with their backs toward Jerusalem). 8. In 1854, according to a report in the New York Tribune, Jews constituted two-thirds of the population of that holy city. 9. In 1867, Mark Twain took a tour of Palestine. This is how he described that land: A desolate country whose soil is rich enough but is given over wholly to weeds. A silent, mournful expanse. We never saw a human. 10. In 1882, official Ottoman Turk census figures showed that, in the entire Land of Israel, there were only 141 000 Muslims, both Arab and non-Arab. 11. A travel guide to Palestine and Syria was published in 1906 by Karl Baedeker; estimated the total population of Jerusalem at 60,000, of whom 7,000 were Muslims, 13,000 were Christians and 40,000 were Jews. 12. In 1922, with what was widely acknowledged as the illegal separation of Transjordan, the Jews were forbidden to settle on almost 77% of the Palestine, while Arab settlement went unrestricted and encouraged by British mandatory authority. Did you know that Saudi Arabia was not created until 1913, Lebanon until 1920? Iraq did not exist as a nation until 1932, Syria until 1941; the borders of Jordan were established in 1946 and Kuwait in 1961. Any of these nations that would say Israel is only a recent arrival would have to deny their own rights as recent arrivals as well. They did not exist as countries. They were all under the control of the Turks. Over 80% of the original British Mandate land was given to Arabs without population transfer of Arabs from the land designated for Jews.
72. # 69 I forgive you for
yakov shani ,   afula   (05.13.06)
the nonsense you posted. If you do not know the facts I suggest you get educated before expressing opinions, on the other hand if it is stupidity then there is no excuse and no solution.
73. #29, Kate of London
sk ,   USA   (05.14.06)
Uh, Kate, have you actually read my response? The idea that I "fantasize" (in the sense of "pleasant imaginings") about the destruction of Israel couldn't be more wrong. I was responding to katznelson, a leftist. I was saying that all of the self-defeating leftist "argumentation" in support of expelling Jews has led, and will continue to lead, to disaster. This will become obvious even to katnelson when the lights go out. I assert that when self-delusion causes you to think you can fly, the reality comes at you when you jump out the window. Now some quotes. "You gravely underestimate Jewish fortitude in so far as the survival of the Jewish state is concerned." No, I have some doubts about "Israeli" fortitude, not about "Jewish" fortitude. "We are tired of winning, we are tired of defeating our enemies," etc. Not exactly Churchill, is it? "Do you think we haven't worked out the real extent of evil and anti-Semitism inherent in both the Christian and Muslim worlds?" I think that the leadership of Israel does not believe in the concept of evil. So, I think it has not worked out thte extent of evil both within and outside of Israel. "Besides, Israel is booming, the Intifada is dead, the "Palestinian" economy is bankrupt and the "Palestinian" leadership has been boycotted by much of the world." I am aware that Israel is booming economically. It seems, though, one major reason for that boom was supported by only 12 mandates in the last election. You err horribly when you say the intifada is dead. How does that square with -- is it 320 missiles? -- that have been fired from Gaza and hit Jewish territory? Or with the blown-up falafel stand in Tel Aviv? If that isn't part of an intifada, what is it? Afternoon tea? Remember when Sharon talked about the massive response Israel would give to missile attacks? Merlot is hitting empty fields. As for the so-called boycott, that has already cracked. BTW, If I were you, I wouldn't believe a thing Merlot and his cronies are telling you. They have already lied about no missiles having been fired from Jenin, when there have been some. They lied about Hamas not doing terror after its election. Amazingly, it even lies about the number of missiles that rain down on Israel, asserting that the number has gone down (!?) after Gaza.
74. 70 Gabrielle Goldwater
Moe Chile ,   London, Canada   (05.14.06)
You offer me no answer as to what it is I should get off of Gabrielle. As to living in Canada, I am a product of my ancestors and was not made a party in choosing where I was born. If you will see, I emphatically include Canada as part of the Colonization of many parts of the world by the regimes that continue to impose their imperialistic ideology on the indigenous peoples of not just this country, but many, many more. In your comment #71, you do however offer a very sound historical case for the existance of Israel and I must say that on this subject you have proven yourself to be well versed. On this I have no argument with you. It remains still that you offer no answer to my original question. What is it that I need to get off of? Is this because you have no answer Gabrielle or is it because you refuse to admit the truth? Will you continue to skirt the issue or will you respond with a sound and reasonable answer.? Moe Chile

Life is tough, Atmawi. Historic Palestine, by the way, is Judea, you moron. Palestine is a Roman-created name for the land. Their intention was to erase Jewish history. Guess what, Atmawi? WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jane   (05.14.06)
Oh, Lebanon. We're so afraid of you. As though we did not have the ability to stay - or come back - if we choose. And don't think that your Hezbullah buddies are a constraint. Or your Syrian puppetmasters. Or your Iranian financiers. I would not be so smug if I were you.
79. #69
Jane   (05.14.06)
Lynne, you are in serious need of an education. My sympathies.
80. # 71 Gabrielle
yakov shani ,   afula   (05.14.06)
Tut tut Gabrielle, your history is very good, but what an audacious blasphemy in saying that He never came to Jerusalem, He ascended to heaven on his winged horse El Burak from the Temple mount of all places, that is why it is so so holy and should never be trodden upon by the unclean feet of Jews and other such unholy indescribable abominations such as us.
81. Haniyeh stresses.
Bachrach Andres ,   Kfar saba il.   (05.14.06)
Everything is holy for that Hany.He vill find it soon also in the holy koran.about the right of return of his holy runaway people. But nothing is holy everything is unholy, what is not exactly islam.Everithing is alloud for an islam believer against all the mankind who are gyaur unbeliever.Hany uses this right of him,by lying killing and maiming. He must be a stupid man,he don't acknoledge Israel beeing, but in the meantime he wants money from thet nonexisting country.Money doesn't smell he? 82. HOLY MACKERAL
yakov shani ,   afula   (05.14.06)
For the last 100 years the Pals have gotten themselves into one big HOLY mess. The main reason for this is the very concept of a HOLY agenda for everything. Try a different approach, pragmatic instead of HOLY. The only HOLY things in this HOLY world are HOLY Mother Earth and man's HOLY duty to preserve Her and the HOLY respect for a Human life, any Human life, including your own HOLY Human life. Death is not a HOLY concept. The preservation of life is HOLY, the pursuit of happiness is HOLY, if a princple becomes HOLY it will result in a HOLY wall being built between societies. The time has come for you Pals to get the HOLY nonsense out of your heads and exchange it for some good WHOLESOME reason and logic.Throughout your history you have produced nothing but HOLY leaders who have waged HOLY wars and lived by the HOLY sword. Time for change, let's see you for once produce a leader who lays down his sword and tells you that life is HOLY. In the name of all the HOLY saints, please do it, not for me, not for Israel, not for the Jews. For your HOLY selves, and your HOLY future generations, it's your choice, either do it or you will go to HOLY hell.
83. 82 yakov shani, afula: You said it ALL - Ormain to that
Gabrielle Goldwater ,   Geneva Switzerland   (05.14.06)
84. yes .. im not..
lynne   (05.14.06)
I havent been educated in Israel .. Nobody has stuffed in my head the nonesense that palestine is Israel in the first place... I never said that there should be no jews in palestine .. yes there were jews in palestine and I dont see that Judaism is not linked to Islam .. I see that Christianity and Islam were ascended after Judaism from the same God by different prophets..As a result I wouldnt argue about the right of jews to live in palestine ..I argue about the right of the state of Israel to be there .. Where are Israelis from?? they have no known roots.. how could jews from any part of the world decide that they have lived there and this is their homeland?? What any logical human being knows that people who descend from the same place have many things in common.. What do the people claiming that they have to be in Israel have in common?? Nothing .. just the jewish religion... So please go correct your HOLY history... and leave your HOLY promised land....

87. #86 Yakov
Moe Chile ,   London, Canada   (05.14.06)
Yakov, Does it not seem that Jane appears when Gabrielle disappears from the field? I wonder. Same type of querilla tactics and rude comments plague both of their submissions. No clear opinion, nor answers, just insults. Shalom.
88. typical of Israelis...
lynne   (05.14.06)
I never expect more than nonesense insults from you.. but you have all my sympathy because you know that you could never admit the truth... I unnderstand... but unfortunately I couldnt get this low and answer you...
