It is noteworthy that Yusaf Qaradawi in the translation offered by MEMRI does not use the word GAY. To me, GAY describes a feeling that has little to do with sexuality. GAY is a wonderful lightness of being; a most beautiful word in the English language and it makes me sad that it has to be associated with homosexuality. It was a real coupe for homosexuals to appropriate this wonderful word to give a positive feeling to their perversion. I am amazed that the non homosexual world has given up this word to homosexuals without a challenge!! By the way, I am not homophobic which implies fear of some kind w.r.t. homosexuality! Why would anybody think of such an idea as of punishing somebody for loving another person? I myself am not a homosexual but still, I believe everybody has the right to love another person no matter their sex, race, religion, or anything.

So many people speak of their God and their Torah and their Bible etc. Has anyone ever thought for one minute about what might be going on in their minds if their parents and society had never mentioned the word GOD? How can human beings in the 21st century base their arguments on Fiction? These documents that make up the Torah, the Bible etc are all stories. Ancient stories and yet people argue against Gay people based on this Fiction? Science and biology - the physical and chemical make up of the human beings dictates - FACTUALLY, SCIENTIFICALLY, BIOLOGICALLY that two humans of the same sex can happily and comfortably provide eachother with the psychological and physical needs that they require. So why do so many ignorant people question this remarkable feet in human nature? Can someone please answer this question!

i think all this religious extremism is sparked by recognizing that these so called true beliefs are being downgraded to myths. the funny thing is that it's the religoius people themselves that are so extreme - not the enlightened. i don't respect any abrahamic religion, but i pretend i do because it's the civil thing to do. maybe you should do that for gays if you don't like the truth that it's not a choice.
