i was shocked to read some of the comments on this board. Are you aware that most of the lebanese people are anti Hizbullah ? That yes they have 2 seats in government but most people cannot bear their policies? The government is very frail in beirut their power is limited and their is great fear of rocking the boat and causing a civil war, they are still classed as a third world country, they want peace. They are not dancing in the street at the prospect of hurting israel as one person suggested! My family is trapped in beirut, innocent people who have no connections with Hizbullah , why arent the israelis targeting the leaders of Hizbullah ?

I know that as a Pole you have no major objections to the Jews being attacked and dying and so, not surprisingly, you identify with the Arabs. You see them as the real victims, just like you probably consider that the Poles are really the victims of Jews and not the other way around. Let me remind you that the attack came from Lebanon, not Israel.

Among 'Palestinians' are some Lebanese, as well, since the name encompasses all who came to live into the area from the neighboring lands, and some even from as far as Afghanistan and Algeria.. Ossetians have retained their distinct identity, some Lebanese nobility did as well, but many did not. They became 'Palestinians' when Lebanese and others refused to recognize them as their own in 1948. Imagine, if Germans didn't recognize as German those from Danzing or Breslau, or Sudeten in 1945, refused them citizenship and rights, and kept them in camps, then they would have ended up as refugee Silesians or East Prussians just like 'Palestinians' ended up as a fake nation.
