Nasrallah shoud be respected by Israelis. At least he never lies and he do his promesses. This war made Hizbollah stronger and Israel ennemies increased after the massacres. Like usual Israel with its short term strategy is putting itself in a weak position. Lot of civilians paid the price of this foolish war and peace in the mid east is once again a dream. If Israel considers that killing 20 Hizbollah soldiers was a victory, do not forget that more than 600 civilians perished, and Lebanon infrastructure was destroyed instead of nutralizing Hizbollah....Congratulations....Long live Lebanon.

IDF victory could be total if the Israel Air Force uses NAPALM in the Hizballah concentrations and rat holes they have dug for themselves. The rest could be complemented with the paratroopers' 'FLAME THROWERS'... I also wonder why the ‘Bunker Busters’ are less effective than the 'NAPALM'?

I would like to ask Prime Minister Olmet what he believed were Israel's strategic objectives in launching this attack on Hezbollah. If his strategic objectives were in killing a few hundred fighters and pounding Lebanese targets, I guess that his objectives were met. However, if his objectives were to seriously damage Hezbollah's capacity to threaten Israel with rockets and to deter other terrorists by an overwhelming show of Israeli military prowess, this campaign has been an abject failure. This politician and his inept security cabinet has allowed Hezbollah, with about 1000 fighters to stare down the mighty IDF because he and his cohorts refused to follow the recommendations of his military leaders. The rockets are still hitting Israeli cities, the kidnapped soldiers have not been returned, the tourist and other industries have suffered a grievous blow, and Israel has lost its deterrence.

If it turns out that Ehud Olmert did not fight this war as it should have been fought - to an actual victory, not a Pyrrhic victory (if even that is possible) - because he wanted to avoid dinner-time fights with his far left-wing wife, will it be the scandal that it should? Nasrallah said not long ago that part of the reason the world is searching for a political solution is because of the group's perseverance. He's not dumb...or wrong. If the government in Jerusalem had the political will to match the military will of the IDF to do the job right, Nasrallah wouldn't be able to say that - he'd be dead, or broken and discredited as a leader. As an American Jew, with my citizenship here usually an afterthought, I'm ashamed to have voted for such weaklings represented by Kadima and Olmert in the last elections. If I get a chance to vote here again before returning to the States, I'll not vote so idiotically again. What we’ve seen, as Hizballah manages to still launch rockets into Israel despite “40-50% of their capabilities being hit”, as we erroneously heard earlier in the war, is the IDF – the finest military force in the Middle East – being forced to fight with one hand tied behind its back, and the other further restricted by Olmert and Peretz. God-willing, before too long, either Olmert/Peretz will fight this war as it should be fought, or the government will fall (when this is all over) and those of us who saw the error of our ways will get the chance to correct past mistakes via the ballot box. And then we’ll vote with our feet – and go back home.

before we lebanese & arabs looked at previous Israel goverments with respect even we are enemies because they didn't cheat on their own people like some Arab governors... this was during Begin's, Rabin's Barak's , Sharon's cabinets who did everything war & peace both in different times for the best of their people & country (inspite of that lebanon suffered much during periods of Begin & Sharon specially)but after these 18 days analysing & seeing how Olmert,Peretz & others go on lying all these days on own citizens i would to write this maybe some Israel people who can objective look to this :most soldiers hurted by friendly fire ,3 helicopters fell down by technical problems ,F-15 in Safed burned too because of that & now they are saying that it was such a successful battle to retreat back tactically.Israel people wake up & look at this american puppet Olmert who changes his words every day 2-3 times at least , 1stly talked about 24-30kms from boarder to move Hizbollah ,after said 6km,after reduced to 2km & after stopped at all ground operations.pls in future choose better leaders whom you can believe your sons'lifes & not such PM whose both sons ran away from army & in his hands life of thousands of soldiers & citizens
