31. Bring it!
RA ,   New York   (08.01.06)
If Syria tries anything, the Israeli response will be full-force as opposed to the weak one seen in Lebanon. Syria will be utterly destroyed. Demascus will be a pile of rubble. Hopefully, Iran will try to join the fight and the US will kick their asses.
32. Syrian military put on high alert...
meni   (08.01.06)
...thousands of Syrian soldiers buy new pairs of shoes so that they can run away faster.
33. U.S. Would Love for IDF to Whack Syria
Jerry ,   NYC, USA   (08.01.06)
Assad has lots of American blood on his hands by helping the Jihadists in Iraq. He is not 1/10 as smart as his father. But he will join his father soon if he starts anything with Israel. I doubt he is THAT stupid.
34. are you stupid or what?
(08.01.06)
give me 15 min and i will wipe you, iran and lebanon. if israel had no moral you would have been meeting your virgins in heaven in a radioactive suit.
35. Stork Man has advantage
Jacob ,   DC   (08.01.06)
The same BS with Lebanon, will happen in Syria. Arabs purposefully target civilians, and when they complete their task, they cry occupation, occupation, and the world looks away. Israel bombs one wrong building, and the world condemns Israel. This is how every future war will look like with Israel and her psyco neighbors. Israel hasn't showed the stamina it needs, let us hope the new generation has it.
36. #5 back at ya #13
(08.01.06)
ISRAEL behind the killing of Hariri? How would Israel gain from off-ing one of the only moderate voices for democracy in the Middle East? Geesh, you arabs really think that everybody else has your cynical motives and self-absorbed logic! Sorry, but I just don't buy it. Save your "conspiracy theory/Mossad did it/blame the Jews/blame the USA" rhetoric for the fuming, irrational Arab street. Better yet, wait till they have recovered from their sugar-rush from passing out deathcult celebratory candy.
37. #13 Get Rx meds for your paranoia problem
Logic ,   Israel   (08.01.06)
38. #13: 100% RIGHT!
pal ,   pal   (08.01.06)
I totally agree with your conclusion. The killing of Hariri was just to start Israel’s destructive, pre-emptive and vicious war against Arab World. First was Palestine, now Lebanon, next will be Syria and others. I believe all Lebanese leaders are aware of this and work each one his way to make Israel and Israelis pay for all crimes they committed before and now. And I believe this time Israel will hurt hardly, since Mr. Bush declared lately that Israel has the right to defend itself, which means not the US to defend Israel anymore.
39. REPLY TO Joe , Congo (08.01.06)
yeasure ,   USA   (08.01.06)
Obviously you do not realize how difficult it is to fight an enemy that hides behind innocent civilians. Israel would much rather fight a country with an organized air force and "military" structure. Syria would be in absolute ruins if they tired to square off against Israel. However it seems that the Arabs never understand defeat and instead will live as poor countries for the rest of time. If they spent half the energy and money building better governments and civilian structure they would soon find out that freedom is not "zionism".
40. Syria nor Iran wants to see Iraq as proxy Army for America
Francis Slovakas ,   Armenia   (08.01.06)
Thats why they are attacking from Syria and Iran. If America accomplishes this goal, look out .
41. #13, #38 The Jews killed Hariri
Sam ,   Canada   (08.01.06)
In Arab delusions it wasn't Arab terrorists who brought down the twin towers in New York either. This seems to be the Arab mantra to their terrorist acts.' We didn't do it . We're too stupid to do it.'
42. Syria Needs a Good Ass Whuppin
Dave Levi ,   Burbank. USA   (08.01.06)
As we say in the state, it's about time to give Syria and that blind leader, Asssad, a good ass whuppin., or perhaps a caning. I'm all for it and will help in whatever way I can., as are millions of tried and true Americans who are tired of these Muslim terrorists. Just as in the 80s, when Israel trounced over 100 Syrian aircraft, this time around, a few nukes over Damascus will put an end to this bunch of thugs..who invaded Israel btw in 48, 67 and 73, lest Assad forget. To Israel: use your real weapons now, and put Assad out of his myopia.
43. Syria cuts its own throat
Joe ,   San Diego, USA   (08.01.06)
See what Israel has in store for you. How does Iran help? Crossing Iraq? Crossing Turkey? I don't think so, unless they want to fight the US or Turkey. Either will kick their butt.
44. Syria is saying this now because
Joe ,   Allentown, US   (08.01.06)
Come on, guys. Syria is saying this now because it's not afraid of Israel at the moment. Israel has just called a "cease fire" (which Olmert has renamed a "suspension of the air war"). After that sign of weakness, Syria feels emboldened to make this statement. So far, Israel hasn't committed much of its military might in a war that very much might be a war for its survival. Odd. You are fighting for your survival - but have suspended the air war and are holding back on the ground invasion and, oh yes, it'll all be over in ten days??? This war has been a spasm, not a strategy. And if something doesn't change fast, this loss will haunt Israel for decades.
45. Syria joins the battle this week . . . .
Michael S ,   Chcago   (08.01.06)
I agree with the man from Congo, that war is not something that should ever be "joked" about as if it were a video-game. However, let's understand something here, Syria is largely responsible for this whole crisis, and if Assad would have told Mashall to return the soldier, this war would never have gotten off the ground. Assad is invested in keeping the pot boiling, and he may be over-estimating Hezbullah's "success" while underestimating Israel's resolve to win this war. Hezbullah is slowiy being dismantled, and soon will be defeated once the ground trioups arrive. I suspect Hebullah wil use chemicle and biological weapons to "even the playing field" and if that happens, watch out for a fury the Arab world has never seen, and I suspect Damascus may be literally blown off the map for their inteference and inciting. Of course I hope I am wrong, and the Israeli army will make short work out of the Hezbullah "cowards." Note that I refer to them as "cowards because they hide behind skirts and children when it comes to attacking. If I were a Muslim, I would be ashamed of this ruthless tactic.
46. Where is Syria's air force?
Don ,   Palo Alto, CA, USA   (08.01.06)
Growing up in Nahariya, it was fairly entertaining in 1982 to watch the Syrian air force losing 96 planes in the first 4 days of the Lebanon war. That's 24 russian mig's per day!!! Do you know why Syrian pilots are not taught how to land their planes? Because the IAF does it for them. Go back to mama, Assad and finish your milk, or else...

Roger ,   Vancouver , Canada   (08.01.06)
Yes! Yes! And the Israeli's orchestrated the whole thing so they could invade Lebanon, then Syria, then Iran to take them over and set up falafel stands and turn them into one massive Jewish state. They come in with their goblets in hand to drink Arab children's blood, don't they? They started all the wars in history, didn't they? They own all the banks, and run all the governments, right? And they stole your quasi-great-grandpappys-friend's hunk of infertile desert back in the '40's (well, they didn't steal it, they just tricked him out of it and then turned that desert into a garden). Pull your head out of your you-know-where. The whole world knows the facts: If the Palestinians / Lebanese laid down their arms they would get land, peace and trade. If the Israeli's laid down their arms, they would be driven into the Sea. I take that back: The whole world can see that, all save the brainwashed from childhood jihadists who blame every problem in their lives on Jews. Guess there's only one solution, huh? Eliminate the Jews. Right.
48. How its gonna play out
Peter ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.01.06)
Let me guess how its going to play out. Syria will do something stupid to enter the war. Israel will pound Syria, and Syria will cry to the world community about the "aggression of the Israeli murderes". I think Syria needs to be given something to lie about on the ground. Enough is enough> Call IRan's bluff. They are essentially surrounded by US troops. Lets see IRan put its money where its mouth is.
49. TO Joe from Congo
Peter ,   Toronto, Canada   (08.01.06)
Joe, defeating a guerila force waering robes and hiding behind women is a far different task than destroying an army. ISrael could wipe the Syrian army off the map within 3 days. There would be no reason to occupy and face Syrian guerillas. Jst destroy the regime and leave. As for Iran, it would be a difficult war but Iran will lose. And depending on the action they took, the might even get nuked.
50. be carefull
voice of love ,   london   (08.01.06)
hey childern of Isreal, be careful, daddy Bush will not be there to save you every time...eeeh . In Oct. 1973 your entity was about to go in smoke if it is not the big daddy rush for your saving... Uncle Euro is sick of you and your cry... the big daddy may get sick too....!!

My hope for your people in Lebanon is too see Hezbollah finally destroyed. That way you can live in peace with Israel.
52. Moshe in France
Floyd   (08.01.06)
"israel wake up ur government is fooling you, u have a weak army." No Moshe...you have a weak army. "use the diplomatics cause military ur finished." Don't follow in France's footsteps Israel. Never bow down to your enemies like France did with Hitler. You are better than the French!!!!!
53. # 19
lulu ,   Austria   (08.01.06)
I agreed with you that Olmert is the one responsible for all the blood shed between Hisbollah and also Israeli.... and all these because of two soldiers which can be settled in a peaceful way just exchange the prisoners if not men, let the women and chidren. It will solve the problems but no!!!! he was bloods until he is satisfied and he wants to show to his followers that he is a hero for the Israelis.
54. # 30
lulu ,   Austria   (08.01.06)
BRAVO!!!! YOU ARE 100 % RIGHT. HE NEEDS TO GROW UP AND LEARN TO LIVE AND HE FORGETS THAT LIFE IS TO SHORT TO WASTE WITH WAR AND BLOOD. HE THINKS WAR IS A PLAYSTATION GAME. WAIT TILL THE BOMB HITS HIM OR HIS FAMILY THEN HE LEARN FROM IT!!!!
55. Double standard
TJ ,   Detroit, MI   (08.01.06)
When Israel accidently kills civilians there is outrage; yet when Hizbullah kills civilians on purpose there is little said. Perhaps Israel should not use smart weapons, that way they could not be accused of targeting civilians.
56. #53
Eric ,   U.S.   (08.01.06)
"all this because of 2 soldiers"???????? Yeah, never mind the 8 that were murdered! Because if you were to mention THAT, your opinion would simply fall flat on it's face, WOULDN'T IT!! Start paying attention #53!!!! And stop agreeing with someone who quotes Pink Floyd. It makes you look stupid.
57. #13
mike ,   Chicago, USA   (08.01.06)
Yes it would fit the propoganda if all evil arose from the one source ISRAEL. Alas, the reality is otherwise so reconsider your hypothesis. The Truth is elsewhere. The Truth will free you !
58. you're not nuking anyone lol
chad ,   usa   (08.01.06)
provoke Syria, then nuke them - like the world would just sit there and not shut Israel down after that. Keep dreaming
59. Joking Joker
