Many of you want to see this conflict continue? Okay, let's put everyone on the same footing. The entire world should step back and let these two entities fight to the bitter end. This means Iran and Syria (and anyone else) should stay out of Hezbollah's corner. US (and anyone else) should stay out of Israel's corner. No more forgiving every loan we've ever made to Israel. No more giving them multi-billions of our tax money every single year to equip and fund the military. Let the Jews and Arabs in the ME fight among themselves with no outside aid of any kind. Anyone who supports this conflict, please join the respective side's military so you can see up close and personal the ugliness of war.

Yesterday, I saw Perez on TV in New York talk to Charlie Rose, and at the same time Netanyahu in Haifa talking to the citizens. Both were doing and saying all the right things for your wonderful country. It filled my heart with joy that these men dropped completely their politics and were acting in the best interest of their country and its people. I only wish desparately that leaders in my country could drop the politics and work for the good of the people if only for a day!!!

My family owned a home on a piece of land for a very long time. My family hit hard times and we were evicted. Things went from bad to worse and we struggled for many years, never really ever finding a place we could call our own. Finally, after a truly horrible experience, the village elders got together and decided we deserved a place of our own and gave us our old house back, but on the stipulation that we had to share it with the people living there. The “occupants” (we don’t like to call them by what they call themselves), as you might imagine were not thrilled about our return. They are actually long lost cousins of ours, but we don’t like to dwell on that. We offered to live peacefully and share the cozy space with them. The Occupants felt that wasn’t actually very generous at all, and started acting really badly. The Occupants have their friends and we have our friends and the whole village has been in an uproar ever since. A Judge steps in to settle the matter. She decrees that the two families will never live together, so one family, say the Occupants, must set a price and then my family must decide to buyout the Occupants or sell our portion to the Occupants at that price. So what’s the figure?

My concern is not really the remark, but over the reaction of the right-wing PM's as mentioned in your article about splitting the nation. It will split the nation again, for sure, or is that the plan? There is, I am sure, reaction from the broader population on that remark. And not every one is right-wing. But why do so many individuals use the term "right wing". Maybe it implies that there is a "wrong-wing". For the sake of unity in the nation, please do the labeling of people more sensible and sensitively. We are fighting a real war for peace and prosperity for everyone in Israel. At this point please leave the politics for politicians that like to play in the sandpit while grown-ups fight the war. There is no left or right or wrong when we have a duty to fight for the best of our country and our people. Bullets and rockets don't take sides in the political arena. Let us stand together united in our desire for world peace.

I do not live in Israel nor am I a Jew but I truly believe that she certainly has a right to defend herself. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and know that the Lord has His Holy City under the shadow of His wings. I just wish Mr. Netanyahu were the Prime Minister. I also believe that the Jewish people will truly see their Messiah, high and lifted up with His train filling the Temple.

I am a supporter of an Israeli state. I understand the long conflict that has plagued the region based on bigotry and religious fervor. For every terrorist killed another is created, for every innocent life lost another is taken. Peace begins with opening up inside and realizing that aggression will only bring on more aggression. I am ashamed of all unjust violence, the innocent Iraqis who are suffering, the Jews who have been persecuted against, the Muslims who do not adhere to extremism. My country is as guilty as any other in committing atrocities against humanity. If peace is a goal we must recognize what has happened in the past and accept it, we must start everyday without hatred in uor hearts and learn to exist side by side. Thousands of years and we still fight over borders, resources, power, as if we are creatures that lack intellectual ability. I ask you to stop launching rockets, to stop starving people, to stop loading guns, and to stop teaching hatred based on age old dissagreements. We have a tremendous potential to be a global community, to live and respect one another. Let women have rights and go to school. Let children play and decide what they would like to contribute to our world. I pity those that think any God would want this senseless destruction, and if it is so why you would worship such a entity, or kill for it. Be human, have feelings, but evolve, change your approaches, open your minds, and see the potential we have instead of perpetuating this ignorant cycle of violence. Please.

I hate to bring up the ancient past, but how do you think Israel got into all this trouble? They never claimed all the land God gave them and commanded them to take. Israel left their enemies in the land and they are cursed by that to this day. Don't make it worse! Don't you learn from your own history?
