61. Would you prefer Nasrullah to Abdullah?
Pseudonym ,   NYC, USA   (08.04.06)
Before spewing anti-Abdullah vitriol, remember that he's the best of the bunch in the region. As some of the more astute observers here have recognized (see, e.g., No. 11), these comments are purely for the consumption of his subjects. And by the way, he's correct about the emergence of new, replacement terror groups in the (unfortunately unlikely) event that Hezbollah is wiped out in this campaign. Sadly, that's the reality.
62. Its "HIS MAJESTY"!
Sara ,   Tel Aviv   (08.04.06)
Your confidence amuses me… it’s so sad the hate and ignorance that eats you up and leaves nothing for your mind to form an actual opinion. Way to go with the threats too! We are already hated from everyone… So good job with threatening one of the only countries that we have diplomatic relationships with in the region! And it’s “YOUR MAJESTY”!!
63. Jordan's history
Rita ,   Upland, USA   (08.04.06)
King Hussein knew how to get rid of the PLO in Jordan in 1970--he did it indiscriminately, killing thousands of Palestinians and driving out the rest. No tip-toeing around as they expect now from Israel. A nice little buzz from Israeli jets also disuaded Syria's tanks from rolling into Jordan. www.palestinefacts.org/pf_1967to1991_jordan_expel_plo.php
64. Palestine
Susan Peden ,   Starkville, MS USA   (01.18.08)
Palestine was a name given to the territory during the Roman Empire in order to mock the Jews. The Jews' greatest enemies were the Philistines, thus the name Philistia, or, Palestine was given to this territory, belonging to the Jews, in order to make a mockery out of them. For instance, Jesus was a Palestinian Jew. Palestine was a made up name for the territory at that time, and stuck, somehow. Yet there is no Palestinian culture or language or ethnic people. The "Palestinians" of today are Arabs. In fact, when Britain maintained control over Israel, both "Palestinian" and Jew were called Palestinians-there was no distinction. Study the History, and increase your knowledge. Not the history set forth by the Arabs or "Palestinians", but the TRUE history of the region.
