The only reason why the casualties are so out of porportion is because Israel the Israeli government actually cares about its people, and have provided them w/ alarms for an incoming rocket, and enough time to hide in the provided bombshelters. Maybe the reason that the International media is focusing on Lebanese deaths is because there are so may of them. The brave IDF has by some estimates killed over 800 civilians compared to around 20 Israeli civilians killed by Hezb. Of course you don't consider Arab lives to be worth anything which is why it amazes you that the rest of the world does not share your callous bigotry.

I have known for quite some time that the BBC cannot be trusted with fair and balanced reporting. The same can be said for several American TV networks such as CNN. Fox news is the only one I trust along with a variety of internet sites like this one.

This is time to be smart. Move quickly with your military, and make it easy for the media to report your side of the conflict. Maybe offer to allow a sympathetic reporter to "embed" with some troops on a relatively safe mission. You need a repeatable mantra that clearly states what you require: We want our soldiers to be returned, etc. Don't agree to even negotiate until all of those requirements are met. Make it easy to understand, and repeat it often. Don't even discuss prisoner exchange for kidnapped soldiers, or you will be encouraging future kidnappings. Don't settle for leaving any armed Hizbullah in Lebanon, and mandate cooperation from Lebanonese military in disarming Hizbullah, or you will see this same scenario play out again, with bigger and more deadly weapons hitting you.

There are such a large number of media outlets that have a liberal left wing agenda that it is difficult to get unbiased reporting. Unfortunately this plays in to how many people in the EU and other parts of the world actually think. I actually think the BBC has been decent; I heard an extensive interview with Bibi Netanyahu on the BBC (who I hated as a Prime Minister, but love as a spokesperson for Israel), and it was the BBC reporter who explained to listeners that Israeli bombing in Beirut has been precise in its targetting of Hizbullah buildings and not sporadic nor indiscriminant. A second point - has anyone noticed how many Israel haters actually use YNET and Ha'aretz to get information. They, too, know where to get real news. Of course the media is biased. As I see it, Israel stands for an ideal much like the USA. That is why both countries are portrayed in the media as the bad guys. Our ideals of freedom, democracy, GOD, etc., is a hated thing to many around the world. Why the media sticks up for terrorists and warlords is beyond any rationally thinking person. The problem I see is when either Israel or the USA bend to the politically correct crowd because it weakens our stance and agressiveness in negotiations and battle. Its simple relativity. The amount of coverage is proportionate to the number that have died. It happens that a lot more Lebanese are dying, so there is more coverage...unless you're implying that Israeli lives are worth more and thus should receive more attention?

I suggest that a letter writing campaign start condemning the anti-Israel media coverage from the BBC. I used to purchase every BBC production that was released, but I will certainly not do so now.
