61. Israelis have been wasting time so far
Matt K. ,   Victoria, BC, Canada   (08.11.06)
... where are their blitzes of 1967, 1973 and 1982? The country is in dire need of another Dayan or Sharon - will Kaplinsky fill the vaccum?
62. Halutz need to prevail
Georgette ,   Los Angeles, US   (08.11.06)
I am sorry to read this. The indecision or rather the flip-flopping behavior of Olmert may cost Israel a lot. Israel needs a strong leader with the clear understanding of how the military works and particularly how the terrorists think. Israel needs a strategists not a waverist. I hope it is not too late and Halutz will prevail.
63. To #48.
Georgette ,   Los Angeles, US   (08.11.06)
Richard is absolutely right. The only hope of the Jewish people all over the world is that more people in Israel will realize the huge mistake they did when they voted for this weak, coward and shameful Government.
64. #10 Glad you know you own rules :)
Pat ,   USA   (08.11.06)
They aren't likely to change anytime soon amongst logical thinkers. Radical Islam from England, or wherever else, wont abide by your rules. But hey, they're too used to being dumb-asses! One little footnote to islam in the UK: the Anglos don't care much for you people trying to blow up our civilian planes. Just thought I would bring that up:) Have any of your rules to cover that situation?
65. #11 Care to name some sources that..
Pat ,   USA   (08.11.06)
actually support what you have to write?
66. #26
Pat ,   USA   (08.11.06)
I don't know that the 2 Pers didn't have more to do with this proable agreement than Olmert did. Peretz has been trumpeting for diplomacy, and Peres abstained from voting for an expansion of the ground war. The Israeli government isn't a one person show you know...
67. The most powerful weapon
lazars ,   Toronto - Canada   (08.11.06)
The most powerful weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed Al tirah, "Be not afraid." It is the first secret. It is also the secret that makes all the other secrets possible. Without the ability to overcome fear, Abraham would have remained in the city of Ur, Isaac would never have gone up Mount Moriah, Jacob would never have gone down into Egypt and Moses would never have led the people up from there. Courage is more powerful than fear because God is more powerful than death. The war today is not fought by weapons, it is fought by courage, it is fought with al tirah. Whoever is fearless WILL WIN THE WAR.
68. #54 Isn't it to for a vacation in Iran?

69. 194/1559
samir ,   lebanon   (08.11.06)

70. define the mean of terroor
aqeelos ,   turkey   (08.11.06)
what the diffrince between israel and any teeror org?actually theres no diffrence both of them uses civilianes as target for there crimes ,look to u history israel in wars with arabs ,look to lebanon more than 1000 civilians killed 30% children
71. A-F/1-1
john john ,   lebanon   (08.11.06)
i hope the troops coming to lebanon (UN) will have to authority to shoot down any israeli jets that will cross to lebanese terretories.not just protect israel from lebanon, cause everybody knows that one must protect the lamb from fierce animals and not the opposite,so we will find out thru ime
72. Nasrallah's Gauntlet
Joseph Kaufman ,   Oakland/Jerusalem   (08.11.06)
Wait. Isn't it true that Nasrallah has his war room in the Iranian Embassy in Beirut and that he is protected by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards? Isn't it true that Nasrallah has rejected disarming Hizbullah and sent Siniora packing with this message? Why then are we talking about a cease fire? The only reason we are in this embarrassing position is that we are afraid of the loss of Israeli life in Lebanon, a snake pit for souls. Nasrallah is the embodiment of an Islamofascist Jew Hating evil demagog. He heads an organization that murdered US Marines and French army people sent to save the Lebanese during their last civil war. This was through mastery of programming the suicide bomber. Remember, this is a religious group that cynically operates a psychological technology to program people to kill themselves for the sole purpose of wreaking mayhem in the innocent midst of an adversary. They call themselves the Party of God. All good men must stand to the side of Israel in her time of need, and mourn the liliputian stature of her leaders during these fateful moments. Nasrallah has thrown down the gauntlet and Olmert and his mustachioed side kick have blinked. They have compromised our nations' future with their lack of leadership Perhaps we have to unite behind them now, but after this bloody war, they will be asked to pay for their mistakes that compromised Israel's strategic position in this rough middle eastern neighborhood.. IDF must be unleashed to destroy Hizbullah like the monsters that they are. The Lebanese have invited this upon themselves by tolerating Hizbullah. Stop waiting for the results of a cease fire. Go IDF.

Pat ,   USA   (08.11.06)
France is still trying to play the role of a world power, something they haven't been for a very long time. While I don't dislike most REAL French (the non-islam indigenous ones), I think Jack Chirac is an idiot! BTW the US thinks quite a lot of Israel :)
74. #10
mike ben moshe ,   U S of A   (08.11.06)
i gues your right. it is better and freer to have ones woman prostitute in one why or another rather then stay at home and care for kids. still arab weman ARE able to go to temple and read the scripture without retributoin.
75. The Wall
Abu Arab ,   Nablus Falasteen   (08.11.06)
I have a great idea for all the talk back zionist, Build a wall along the boarder in South lebanon and hide behind it, but first you need to retreat to save your ass shalom alekhem Peace on earth
76. Troublemaker
a voice ,   the Czech Republic   (08.11.06)
Ceasefire without disararmament of Hezbollah? For how long? Israel should summarize all its damages and make out an account to Lebanon via international tribunal in Hague. And stand on right to get full compensation. No matter Lebanon will be in insolvency. It can asked for a loan from its unsparing sponsors. Lebanon and any other potentional troublemaker must realize that there is always payment for idiocy.
77. to the americans
john john ,   lebanon   (08.11.06)
well althu i hate the french cause they r cheese people but u americans are always talking bad about the french, well its your history books not ours that talks about how the french helped the american free their country and build a democtratic one.a dog never bites the one who feeds him and take care of it so i think you better stop biting these french.
78. Your Goverment would not dream in such a deal
Psoter ,   KSA   (08.11.06)
You know well that Hizbullah is very strong and your Armey could do nothing except promesing and attacking children. What are expecting of a deal that would stop killing your soldiers and openning scandels on your Armey and idiot leaders?
79. Not to worry, it's going through the UN
Snagglepuss ,   Somehow, Somewhere   (08.11.06)
Hezzbolah has great respect for the UN. This should be a slam dunk.
80. #32 Chris
Doronron ,   Here, There   (08.11.06)
Nasallah wins because he is still alive. In that culture as long as you are not dead yet you win. All those hezbos that are fertilizing the fields in S Lebanon--yeah, they lost.
81. THE OLMERT-PERETZ WAR AGAINST ISRAEL ...
Craig Crawford ,   Laguna Niguel USA   (08.11.06)
With their anti-military 'Peace Now' credentials, Olmert and Peretz have 'hampered' their generals and fighting men by forcing them to fight a 'feminized' war with minimized forces, reduced armor support, and minimal speed against an entrenched, well-equipped, and vicious Iranian trained army that is motivated and trained to kill Jews and destroy Israel ... our prayers go out to the brave Israeli soldiers in battle having to try and clean up all the messes their weak and (Biblically) corrupt political leaders have lead them into ... As noted very early in the war, don't expect an easy or clear-cut victory over the enemies of Israel with unbelieving men (and women) such as Olmert - Peretz - Livni - and Peres ruling over the Land ... the ruling Kadima-Labor parties' highest stated priority is to remove Jews from Judah ... not to protect Jews from their enemies or from massive and deadly rocket attacks ... Study your Bible ... Israel has always struggled in times of war when being lead by leaders who 'did not do that which was right in the sight of the Lord' ... And we read in the Bible it was corrupt and unbelieving politicians and religious rulers much like these who felt their power threatened as they conspired against Jesus-Yeshua, the promised Messiah, who first stepped forth from Eternity ... "from old, from everlasting" (see Micah 5:2) ... the Messiah, who first came to humble Himself before Israel (and the world) by willingly and lovingly offering His life (which we are told 'was without spot or blemish') once and for all as the sacrificial 'Lamb of God' (the ultimate sin offering for both the children of Israel and for the whole world) ... EXACTLY as the prophets said He would ... and who we are told will one-day return in great power as the 'Lion of Judah'... and as 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS' (Revelation 19:11-16). As a note, Gaza, Hebron, Bethlehem, and the other 'settlements' Olmert - Peretz - Peres would surrender to allies of Iran and the enemies of Israel are all in the land God gave to Judah (see Judges 1:18-20 and Joshua 14:13 - 15:13 - then pull out your map) ... it appears the old jealousies and animosities the northern tribes of Israel held toward their prophetically blessed brethren of Judah still have yet to be resolved ... 82. Olmert can't get the job done... would rather evict Jews.
Jeremiah ,   Israel, Jewish Land   (08.11.06)

Pat ,   USA   (08.11.06)
Yes, a response to myself - just wanted to correct a couple of typing errors in the last sentence....The original post follows. Just thought I would bring that up:) Do you have any of your rules available to cover that situation?
84. I guess Olmert can go back to his convergence plan
Tami   (08.11.06)
Evicting Jews and letting in the terrorists and their weapons, yep sounds right up Olmert's alley.
85. #70 Yep
Pat ,   USA   (08.11.06)
And if I had my way, Israel would have done a lot more. The trouble with you Turks is many of you don't seem to realize the difference between trying to avoid civilian casualties, as Israel does; and launching rockets intentionaly toward civilian centers, as the hiz does. IF innocents were killed in Lebanon, so be it! They were given plenty of time to grab the kid and run north. Simple fact of the matter is these "civilians" were hiz supporters, and that's why they chose not to leave. BTW, tell your countrymen good luck on actually getting to join the EU.
86. From the first day, Olmert was shooting off his mouth.
AK   (08.11.06)
He and Peretz are all talk -- two empty suits. But then you knew when you elected him that he would behave exactly as he has..
87. olmert
Alex ,   CA_LA   (08.11.06)
I would not call him flip-flop but rather soeone who tried to ake best out of the current situation. You can not just put blindly an army into S. Lebanone. That's what Russians tried to do, in the first Chechen war with casualties close to 5000 within the first month. And Hezbalah is better trained, equiped the Chechen fighter. You ve got to soften the infrustructure and then clean up with caution. I think they know what they are doing, let's give them soe time. And Lebanese Government, if they would want to litmit the civilian casualties they would agree long ago for cease fire and gave back prisoners. Israeli would withdraw and it would be over. However the Lebanese gov is just a puppet, and unfortunatelly it is not a puppet of its own people but someone else. What A SHAME!
88. Deal
Chris ,   LA   (08.11.06)
Since Huzb Allah is rejecting a deal that everyone is admitting is an Israeli defeat and are asking for more, it's obvious who won the war...
89. And WHERE ARE OUR 3 ABDUCTED....
Hiram ,   Tel Aviv   (08.11.06)
