35. On Crack or the Iranian Payroll ?
malcolm ,   NYC   (08.15.06)
Is Olmert /Peretz/Livni/Halutz on crack or the Iranian payroll? Those are the only explanation I can come up with for the behavior of these traitors. Where are the true patriots? Is Israel getting what it deserves for lack of protest? NOt even one hint of impeachment or talk of taking down this Iranian tool of a government. Do they have to be so over the top like Halutz to get people mad?
36. Peretz

too late for you maybe the next def min.
37. Dummy
Sidney ,   USA   (08.15.06)
This dummy doesn't know that Israel lost the war, largely due to the leadership of Olmert and Peretz. If Israelis do not replace this government, they are suicidal.
38. 'Prepare To Lose Your Job'
david ,   philadelphia   (08.15.06)
Kadima is like Labor after Oslo - no perspective, impervious to experience, no backbone, and no mandate. I'm finding it hard to distinguish between Kadima and Labor of the 1990's; all of Israeli politics has shifted to the left in the past couple of years, which meant that Likud has become centrist, Kadima's the new Labor, Labor is now like Meretz, and Meretz became Hizbullah. Peretz now aspires to be like the Arab MKs, who meet with Israel's enemies without ever facing reprimand. But just as after Oslo with regard to negotiations, the Israeli populace is removing its blind faith in unilateralism, and Kadima will fall.
39. Kadima/Labor = End of Israel
Jerry ,   NYC, USA   (08.15.06)
The Olmert government must go Jerusalem Post 8/15/06 Caroline Glick From all sides of the political spectrum calls are being raised for the establishment of an official commission of inquiry to investigate the Olmert government's incompetent management of the war in Lebanon. These calls are misguided. We do not need a commission to know what happened or what has to happen. The Olmert government has failed on every level. The Olmert government must go. The Knesset must vote no confidence in this government and new elections must be carried out as soon as the law permits. If the Knesset hesitates in taking this required step, then the people of Israel must take to the streets in mass demonstrations and demand that our representatives send Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Defense Minister Amir Peretz and their comrades out to pasture. Every aspect of the government's handling of the war has been a failure. And then there is the military failure. The IDF suffers from acute leadership failures - brought to Israel courtesy of Ariel Sharon who hacked away at the General Staff, undermined its sense of mission and treated our generals like office boys just as he decimated the Likud by undermining its political vision and promoting its weakest members. Thegovernment wanted to win the war on the cheap. And when the air campaign did not succeed, it abandoned its war goals, declared victory and sued for a cease-fire. All the while, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni did her best to demoralize the IDF and the public by publicly proclaiming that there is no military solution to what is clearly a military conflict. OLMERT'S DECISION Friday to begin the ground offensive was by all accounts motivated not by a newfound understanding that this is a real war, but by the headlines in the newspapers that morning calling for his resignation. Yet, by Friday, the IDF had only 48 hours to achieve the objectives it had waited a month to receive Olmert's permission to accomplish. The UN cease-fire that Olmert, Livni and Peretz applaud undercuts Israel's sovereignty; protects Hizbullah; lets Iran and Syria off the hook; lends credibility to our enemies' belief that Israel can be destroyed; emboldens the Palestinians to launch their next round of war; and leaves IDF hostages Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev in captivity. Yet the reason that this incompetent, embarrassment of a government must go is not simply because it has delivered Israel the worst defeat in its history. This government must go because every day it sits in power it exacerbates the damage it has already caused and increases the dangers to Israel. Because of the failure of this government, Israel now needs to contend with an emboldened Hizbullah protected by Kofi Annan. Already on Sunday, Annan sent a letter to Olmert instructing him that once the cease-fire is put into effect, the IDF will be barred from taking action even if it comes under attack. As far as Annan is concerned, resolution 1701 says that if Israel is attacked, all it is allowed to do is call his secretary. Given that both the Lebanese army and the countries which plan to send forces to Lebanon all say that they will not deploy to the south until after Hizbullah is dismantled, it is clear that the military mission is still to be accomplished. There will be time to inquire into what has gone wrong in the IDF. There will be time to fire the generals that need to be fired. But we don't need a commission to determine what we need to do. Because of the Olmert government's failures, ever greater battles await us. As the dangers mount by the hour, we must replace this misbegotten government with one that can defend us.
40. No to talking
Brod ,   USA   (08.15.06)
Israel should not be wasting its energy and time talking with Syria or any terrorist entity. Peretz should focus on defending the Jewish state from external threats and aggressions and not talking with savages and sponsors of savages bent on wiping Israel off the map.
41. STOP THEM NOW!!
KACH 613 ,   MEDENAT YEHUDA!!   (08.15.06)
People like Peretz can have us ALL KILLD we must stop them before we are DEAD!! Hoe sick can people be? I know liberlisim is a mentel disorder, but I didnt think it was that bad!!!

43. UN RESOLUTION GAVE VICTORY to LEBANON-HIZBULLAH-SYRIA-IRAN
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (08.15.06)
Extreme HATE: Responsibility for compliance of the resolution is given to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, infamous for his fanatical hatred of Israel. Extreme DISHONESTY: The UN determined in 2,000 that Israel had withdrawn to the international border. The resolution places Shaba Farms - legally belonging to Israel - up for negotiation. The laws of nations forbids land taken through aggression. The US, EU, UN unlawfully seek to reward Lebanon-Hizbullah-Syria-Iran for their unprovoked war of aggression against Israel. Extreme RACISM: The damage and destruction to Israel is enormous. Israel's economy is devastated. Destruction in some Israeli towns is far worse than experienced by most people in the Lebanese cities of Beirut and Sidon. Profound Jew-hate and injustice is revealed in the resolution which asks for financial and humanitarian assistance for Lebanon the aggressor - but no assistance whatsoever for Israel the victim. Extreme DECEIT: Equivalency is made between Iran's Hizbullah terrorist army' vicious unprovoked acts of war against Israel - over 4,000 rockets fired at Israel and Israel's self-defense operations which the resolution refers to as "offensive" military operations. Hizbullah's rockets are packed with ball bearings to maximize the suffering of Israeli victims - the same murderous Islamist hate of 9/11 and 7/7 - an inhuman hate for non-Muslim infidels that engulfs our world in endless barbaric attacks in the Islamist war against innocents. Images show Hizbullah using high-density residential areas to launch rockets: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,,19955774-5007220,00.html Extreme DECEIT: The Lebanese government and Hizbullah are one and the same. The US, EU, UN are fully aware that Hizbullah terrorists are part of Lebanon's government and that the Lebanon government actively colludes with Hizbullah: YNETNEWS (08.12.06, 16:52) Siniora accepts deal, praises Hizbullah ...steadfastness of resistance fighters in field was very important,' http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3290107,00.html Extreme DECEIT: In calling for disarmament of all armed groups in Lebanon, the US, EU, UN are fully aware Hizbullah will NEVER disarm and know they are giving Lebanon-Hizbullah victory over Israel and massive victory for Syria and Iran - who sponsor Hizbullah in Iran's war against Israel and the free world. In the global war to bring all nations under Islamic subjugation, the US, EU, UN empowerment of global jihad is a shocking betrayal of Israel and the world's non-Muslims. Peretz spends his days drinking something intoxicating. Listen to his mindless dribble. Israel save yourselves. Get rid of these clowns calling themselves Kadima.
49. To all israelis : once again humiliated!!
Ihab ,   KSA   (08.15.06)
Nasrallah in his first speech talked about Olmert and Peretz saying "You stupid don't know what we are, we are a people that can never be defeated because we are righteous". He was correct. It is the first war you lost LOST BIG TIME!!. Nasrallah will offer every Lebanese rsident whose property was destroyed money to rebuild it. [Watch his speech yesterday]. The "economic" disaster once again turned him into a hero. BY the way anyone can brief me on the following : 1- Release of the two soldiers? 2- Buffer zone? 3- Destroying hizbullah infrastruture? 4- Stopping the missiles [last day, 250 missiles were launched]? What happened to these objectives? Why your northern commander in chief was changed? Last day of your invasion you had alost 30 KIA and 84 wounded. I said it before the hunting season could have been fun this year!!!.....things have changed forever!!!
50. new york
its a shame ,   sol   (08.15.06)
s a shame when you have the German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier cancelled his impending trip to Damascus pursuant to the statements of Syrian president Bashar Assad who, in a recent speech, referred to Israel as 'the enemy'. and we have our minster to talk abot peace
51. The 3 stooges should talk to the german chancellor

As a woman she has more beitzim than they ever could harbour. Even more important, perhaps she could provide them with assylum somewhere in bavaria - anywhere but here PLEASE

55. If We Continue With Olmert&Peretz We'll Be Left With TelAviv
H ,   Jerusalem   (08.15.06)
Olmert wants to give away Judea & Samarea & Jerusalem, Peretz wants to give the Golan Heights and probably the entire north. We'll be left with Tel-Aviv. We must make new elections now before there's nothing left of Israel.
56. Enough embarassment
Amir Harif ,   Brazil   (08.15.06)
How long it will take for this guy to be ousted? Didn't he give us all enough embarassments? He has shown total inhability to the function. He has turned the Israely Army into a joke, deeply harming its image internal and externally. We Jews can and should accept we've lost a war, it's good for reevaluation. What we cannot accept are ragged excuses, we want solutions.
57. The bottom line....
Ian ,   Vancccouver Canada   (08.15.06)
The bottom line is that if the Arab countries lay down their arms, there will be peace. If the Israelis lay down their arms, there will be no Israel. The Golan Heights should be annexed by Israel. Anyone who has ever been there and looked down at the Israeli farms and settlements knows that to give them back to Syria is committing suicide. No negotiating with Syria - You can'r reason with unreasonable people. Make no mistake - war with Syria and Iran is coming, and Israel had better prepare for it - NOW!!!
58. No Pancho Villa
Laura ,   London   (08.15.06)
despite the looks I wonder if he has ever even held a rifle. This man is just a fat buffoon - yet his grasp of reality is wearing thinner and thinner. Prepare to negotiate your resignation soon Peretz and return to trouble making in the trade unions.
