I look forward to reading the scientific research behind the role of circumcision in the reduced transmission of HIV. This type of precautionary step, in my opinion, would not work in more developed countries as our choice as a male not to wear protection predisposes us to the risk of sexually transmitted infection. However, the circumcision of African babies in regions benefiting from vaccine programmes where trained professionals treat them, maybe an easy route to introduce and test this new barrier to infection.

In fact the foreskin plays no roll in the length of the penis when in full erection. I believe a case has been made for a lack of sensitivity in the head of the penis occuring after circumcision. that, however might allow a man to preform longer and be a more attractive attribute to most women than the existance of a foreskin, especially if the AIDS connection is supported and publicised.
