This article might seem a little simplistic but at root the point made is accurate. European hypocrites purporting to speak in the name of justice and fairness continue with their centuries old practice of deeming Jewish lives to be at best worthless. Israel has the disadvantage of being much stronger than its enemies which means that any time we are attacked there is much less chance of Israelis being killed than there is of Arabs being killed when Israel acts in self defence. Isn't Israel a democratic state? In my mind that constitutes a great people to look up to, worth keeping safe. The article and this way of thought could not further away from the real situation on the ground. Nobody disputes the right of israel to self-defence, and eliminate people targeting it, the question is why to blow away to pieces everything around them. The answer is that IDF no more has guts it used to have 10-20 years ago and prefer to fight ground war from the air. Biased to Israel CNN estimation of lebanese civilian casualties was 10 much higher then israeli civilian casualties. So it seems like it is arab lives are worth ten times less the jewish.

Very good article and most true! Only when Israel started defending itself there was an outcry for a cease fire. The U.N. has to be the biggest failure in human history. Where are the cease fires in all those African countries, where people are being slaughtered by the MILLIONS! Where was the call for cease fire during Vietnam War, Iran/Iraq War, the Afgan War, The Balkans War, The Gulf War I & II and so on and so on... Only when Israel defends itself we have 'cease fire calls'
