It is difficult to understand the fact that the Intelligent Department in USA did not gather proper information.After a lapse of 27 years if this is the conclusion drawn I find it difficult to understand how they are going to rectify it.My strong feeling is that the US Intelligence took it for granted that the clergy in Iran had no clue to the running of the Governemt and underestimated their knowledge and vision.All they thought was that a clergy was more versed with religious matters and had no knowledge of politics.This is where the USA Intelligence has faltered.

We've had so much time in our comfortable lives, here in the West, to do something about the arab/muslim problem, as well as the oil problems, yet in optimistic hopefulness, we keep plugging along, pretending nothing's wrong, not caring about the future, assuming we'll be gone long before any problems arise...our only thought was that it could "possibly" run out in our lifetimes, rather than it go to $10 per gallon, or switching our entire infrastructure of vehicles and fuel stations to alternatives as well as our homes (solar, methane, etc.) and our places of employment...just leave it for the next generation to deal with...this is so selfish and destructive, I hope we will get the ball rolling ASAP, collectively as a nation, so we don't hit a brick wall, so to speak, in terms of islam and oil...they have their ball rolling in terms of goals and destiny, unfortunately it is diametrically opposed to the interests of the rest of the world.
