61. For the stark lack of leadership
George ,   Atlanta, GA   (10.02.06)
in Isreali government. It could certainly take notes from this man: http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=24681
62. an apology has to take place to the lebanese
Maxim ,   Moscow   (10.02.06)
and to those who have fallen in the last war and everybody should do everything they can to prevent another, and both sides are to blaimed, not just hizbollah, but also Olmert for keeping 10000 hostages in Israeli prisons, thus giving anybody a reason to attack israel based on pure hatred.
63. Well said #6
Jewish ,   Israel   (10.02.06)
Ynet is obviously anti-israel. Ynet, I will always tell people about your lame anti israeli articles. lets see if you dare posting my comment.
64. A sorry article
Ilan ,   Ariel   (10.02.06)
It would be more appropriate for the media to do a little soul searching and address it's own shortcomings.
65. Pope 'led cover-up of child abuse by priests'
observer   (10.02.06)
As Jesus was allegedly Jewish; so the Pope is originally Jewish. Let the "infallible" Pope join your day of atonement and apologize to his own people for the sex scandal discovered lately. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/panorama/5389684.stm
66. The Israelis have been on their knees for peace you guys.
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.02.06)
Waha is wrong with you?
67. To #24.
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.02.06)
Zionism isn't an idea it is a natural circumstance. Prior to emancipation that was the case. If the British had upheld their obligations under international law then we'd be okay now.
68. To Walldizo
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.02.06)
I wasn't aware that we hold any of the Arabian peninsula. If you are reffering to land owned by other countries then you must be talking about the Golan for that is the only piece of foreign land we hold for security purposes and we shall continue to do so until Syria is not a Nazi antisemitic totalitarian state that can guarentee our security and the security of the Golan'ss Jewish majority.
69. To Walldizo on Settlers..
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.02.06)
In that case take back the 90% of those who call themselves' Palestinians' for they are settlers too. While you're at it take the majority of Lebanese Shiites who hail from Iran.
70. #58 typical ignorant left wing British thickie
Adam ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.02.06)
71. To #58 Europe has to apologize
Me ,   Germany   (10.02.06)
No sign at all points to the end of Israel, because Israel has no end. Sorry, it is not the doom of Israel I, as an European, see, but the doom of Europe. We haven’t acted justly as our God commands us, to love Israel and to pray for peace in Israel. Europe has to apologize to Israel for its often anti-israeli politics, for condemning Israel for defending their people and their country, for its unfair media, and for letting Israel down due to economical and financial interests with Israel’s enemies.
72. #5 Lebanon
lisa reik ,   tel aviv   (10.02.06)
The good and just people of Lebanon deserve peace and rebuilding their country. BUT- they should never have allowed Hezbollah and their cronies to take root so deeply and mobilize themselves inside your towns and villages of southern Lebanon- you really ought to place the blame on the instigators!
73. Is this Purim?
Shoshana Rubin ,   Nokem   (10.03.06)
Ynet sounds like Haman. Apologize to the Islamic killers? For what?
74. sorry Lebanon
Shlomo ,   tel aviv   (10.03.06)
We Israelis are deeply sorry for all the harm we've caused you. I hope that one day you'll be able to forgive us.
75. YNET's WHINE
bob kirk ,   los angeles   (10.03.06)
I expected better from Ynet! Firstly, Anat Hefletz's insane suggestion that the Israeli government should apologize for not heeding "the many explicit and implicit" calls for "dialogue from the Palestinian camp" is delusionally insane. Dialogue with the Hamas government whose goal is destroying Israel is utterly unreal - they are not a partner for peace and never will be. As for the other "calls for forgiveness" yes, the soldiers deserve an apology for being sent unprepared and without clear battle plans and goals. Otherwise, Israel is doing great. YNET staff need to apologize to readers and start looking at the 'glass half full' instead of the muddy 'glass half empty' they use for a lens for this editorial collaboration. Shana Tova YNET, boker tov, wake up to what is working in Israel.
76. Forgivenessmor Stupidity
Sam ,   NY   (10.03.06)
I am moving to Israel this December for its greatness as a Jewish state and as a great country. As with Haaaretz, I am dismayed at YNet's pitiful lack of understanding of Israel's history and naive view of its dangerous past and present neighbors .They are determined in any fashion to destroy it.You display the old saying--fat,dumb,and happy. WAKE UP. WE DON'T HAVE TRUE PEACE PARTNERS.
77. AND NOW...
SS ,   ISR   (10.03.06)
HOPE YNET WILL KEEP UP WITH THE KIPPUR SPIRIT AND LET US HAVE A LIST OF THINGS OTHER COUNTRIES NEED TO ATONE FOR? BY THE WAY.. DOES KILLING JEWS CALL FOR ATONEMENT?
78. Didn’t Yair Lapid also criticize the media for its coverage
Oren ,   Israel   (10.03.06)
79. Apology for baloney and hot air and beign pompous a.........
Jorge ,   Tegucigalpa   (10.03.06)
How about the apology of Israels press for the above sins, and from part of that press for aiding and abeting Israels enemies and Jew haters
80. Missing The Point
David ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (10.05.06)
The point of the day is to ask for forgiveness for your sins, not to go around telling everyone else what the sins they should ask for forgiveness are. What utter and complete arrogance.
