61. Dear Lynne, the Sweetie!
Sheikh yer Bu'Tay ,   Dar al-Harb   (11.07.06)
Are you going to tell me that Iraqis do not know the difference between right and wrong? Okay, so it is unrealistic for us to believe that Iraqis would be willing to participate in a free society were everyone is expected to behave as law abiding citizens?? A society were they vote for representatives who write the laws they should obey??!! Okay, I guess our US troops should just pull back into their safe bases and let these people slug it out! After all, according to you, they just can't help themselves! If it is unrealistic to expect Iraqis to stop killing each other, then it is equaly unrealistic to expect the US to accept blame for their actions!! What the hell!! If that is how it is going to be, the USA will deal the the ones left standing! In all of your talksbacks to me there two common themes. First, anyone from the ME who does not behave properly is both a criminal and a victim at the same time, who is not to blame for their actions. Second, no matter how bad those people are, the USA is infinitly worse! As a child, did you grow-up chanting "Death to America!" in school? I am a citizen of the USA. I did not grow-up reading about the "Great Satan" from slanted school history books. I HAVE LIVED THE HISTORY OF THE USA! I know we do make mistakes from time to time, but I also know all the great good we do all around the world! That is what you are not aware of. Your biased education of the USA tells you we would never do anything out of good will to our fellow humans. That is were you are very, very wrong. I guess that makes you a victim, too, Lynne. I must go to work. I will write more later.

I believe there is a point you are missing in what I said.. I'm not sure why.. it might either be that I am not expressing myself clearly or because you have set forth your prejudices that people in the ME grow up hating the US.. first of all.. I was educated in British schools which are regarded as basically secular schools were even some families would not prefer in fear that their children might grow up far away from our culture and religion and most of the time biased towards the West!! I never chanted death to America or elsewhere.. I think you are not so innocent from some sort of bias.. even in your part of the World you are never given the true and real picture about Arabs and Muslims.. you are continuously told that Arabs and Muslims are a group of ignorant, flesh-eating people living in a desert!! even watching a Western channel I see this picture very apparent..this is also apparent in your calling the US "Dar Al Harb" which I have been trying not to comment on.. I don't think it's unnatural that you find my opinions biased because yours are also biased.. I do not believe in an opinion that lacks any sort of bias towards one side or another.. I do not expect you to stand on my side and I do not expect you to believe that I will stand on your side and cheer for America.. I am usually very strict in my opinions regarding suicide bombings and such acts but unfortunately I find you defending your country's acts no matter how much destruction they caused.. I have said that those leaders are victims as well as criminals because I see them as victims of Saddam's tyranny.. please reread my previous talkback . you might have been in a hurry and misunderstood what I said.. my point is this.. after years of being tied up, Iraqis have suddenly found themselves under no control.. I couldn't expect them to behave as law abiding citizens because they have become used to being controlled by a dictator.. it's like when someone immerses your head under water for a couple of minutes and then let you out.. you wouldn't come out breathing regularly.. you will come out panting.. this happened with Iraqis.. they were imprisoned for a long time and all of a sudden there are no more rules and no more control... I am not against the US in the idea of democracy I am against it in the way this democracy was brought onto Iraqis.. Sheikh yer Bu'Tay .. I do not mean to say the the US is the "Great Satan" and that you only cause wars etc.. there are many things I respect about the US.. the US has cut a long way in achieving a lot.. in the ME our problem with the US is that it is supporting Israel which we regard as "the enemy" and it continues to meddle in our affairs.. the US had supprted Saddam in his tyranny and then punished the Iraqis in order to topple his government..the US supported his invasion of Kuwait and later in order to create military bases in the gulf..it had scared the Gulf leaders from the Irani monster while making itself comfortable with the Gulf petro money.. it supported the Mujahhidin (today's Taliban) and then waged a war against the people of Afghanistan and against Islam as a whole.. I have told you.. in politics good will is not a reason to act.. I am not referring to humanitarian aids or such I am speaking politicalwise.. on a humanitarian level yes, the US does help others.. we are all victims.. each one of us defends one side and attacks the other.. anyway..there's an Arabic saying which says "always sleep as the victim and never sleep as a criminal".. anyway... have a good day.. :)

"Sheikh yer Bu'Tay" started as a joke. It represents one of the things I like to do. "Shake your Booty!", you know, dance! Do you like to dance? I do live in the Dar al-Harb, do you live in the Dar al-Islam? I was expecting you to bring this up. So, out of respect to you, I'll give it up for our conversations. I must travel tonight to handle an emergency in another city. I'll return and answer your posts in 24 hrs.. I am frustrated about the mid-term elections. Many peoples will think of it as a great victory. Actually, if Demos take control of the American Congress it means far less support and money for the Iraqi people. If the Demos win, the good, law abiding Iraqis lose. I have great empathy for them. They trusted us, and once again some of us are forced to let them down. Until then, you have a good day, too!! :)
64. okay Richard!!
Lynne..   (11.08.06)
I'm practically used to you as Sheikh yer Bu'Tay!! LOL.. no.. I basically tend to be a timid person...hehehe.. I like watching dances but not dancing.. and no.. I live in Dar Al Salam.. and you too.. no problem.. hope your work is fine..
65. I'm back.

Y-net is an interesting place to read news. I just read that approx. 67% per cent of all American Jews voted Democrat! How about that! Almost all Amer. Muslims vote Demo. Almost all Amer. Jews vote Demo. Almost all Amer. Catholics vote Demo. I am an American Protestant Christian Republican from mid-America. Guess what? So are most of the people serving in the Amer. military. After looking at Tues. results I have come to a conclusion. When it comes to the ME (Except for oil), we Amer. Protestants are pretty much fighting for nothing. Like my old American Indian grandpappy used to say: " I don't even have a dog in this fight!" Lynne, I hope you get this. If not, I'll see you at another Y-net site.
