61. hein: a benevolent fool, but a fool nonetheless
dante ,   uk   (11.08.06)
the parade is a provocation. why wasn't it held in the vatican, in mecca or medina? why not in tel aviv? because it is a provocation. they have no respect for the Jewish Torah and they have no respect for the holiness of Jerusalem. what the marchers do in private is and should remain private. if they want to make it public, then, they should expect popular disapprobation. as for the fool hein: "transgendered" have NOT always been a vital part of humanity. and the parade has nothing whatever to do with recognizing or appreciating anything. the marchers want to push their antinomian behaviour in the face of the public and prevent it from objecting. just what Israel needs. but fools like hein can participate in an assault on the tradition of which they claim to be a part and be bereft of any awareness of what they are doing.

66. You're right!!!
ig ,   TA, Israel   (11.08.06)
We should all come on Friday and prevent the gay community from becoming a spurned minority, fight against the violence and stop letting the Haredis impose their way of life on our lives!
67. Mr. Hein has misled people into believing he is religious
Mitch ,   Ashdod   (11.08.06)
Anyone who Googles him can plainly see he is not. He is yet another import of 'progressive' Judaism trying to pass himself off as Orthodox. His own website indicates he belongs to the Conservative movement.
68. Gay Parade and Democracy
June Narunsky ,   Ashkelon   (11.08.06)
I am totally amazed at the fuss that the gay parade is envoking. I know that we live in a 'democratic' country and I do believe that the gay community have every right to their beliefs and sexual preferences but why a parade? Are they so insecure about those beliefs? I am a fat, hetrosexual grandmother and proud of all three of those facets of my life and don't feel this pressing need to dash about some street parading this pride I have in being a FHG!!! I know we pride ourselves on being 'democratic' but isn't it a tad two faced? After all if I felt the pressing need to walk about the streets of my town as naked as a jaybird, I would be heavily fined or carted off to prison for indecent exposure, wouldn't I? So how democratic is that? If everyone is allowed to march about doing our own 'democratic thing' what chaos would soon evolve. So, I would respectfully suggest that the marchers in this parade should all pay a 'fine' which could be put to good use for charitable purposes such as aiding children with cancer or our senior citizens or people who have suffered from terrorism instead of just uselessly waddling about the street wagging their combined booty!

I'm not only staying here , i made Alya some 5 years ago , not out of religious feelings nor economic problems . I'm not hating anyone , i'm very tolerant , but i want a reciprocity . You are free to believe , there you have rules how to behave [ throwing stones ? stabbing , etc ] I do not need religious rules to live and to let live . I'm trying not to hurt anybody , exept those who are not accepting people who are not as themselve . So let the gay's have their parade in Jerusalem , also their capital ! And do not think they want to provoke , they want a peacefull parade . They did not throw stones , stab anyone , and so on .
71. charles, I used the wrong #. sorry.
