I think those responsible, from whatever group are giving a fore-warning, that maybe next time the cargo hold of an El-Al flight may carry something more lethal. Why not have your own security in the cargo hold as the luggage and cargo are being loaded. Having a final security check with detectors that can detect anything suspicious will prevent a mid air explosion. This is a wake up call for El Al. If ground crew can spray inside the cargo hold, how do you know that the spray itself is not flammable or contains explosive. Next to the svastikas , it is written in Hebrew cursive script: "Mavet le'yehudim". This wasn't done by just anybody. It was a well-planned act of vandalism by Arabs who are well-aquainted with Israel.

It Could have easily been the staff at the Tel Aviv Airport who were on strike trying to play a trick and blame it on another country. Did anybody check to see how fresh the paint was? Don't the baggage handlers at Tel Aviv airport have more to gain by creating scare among the public by making mischief? If I was a detective, I would suspect the Baggage Handlers in Israel first. The very fact that this incident happened in the Cargo hold indicates that the Baggage handlers had a role to play in this incident.

This is a MAJOR breach of security. But why detain the passengers on the flight - they don't have access to the cargo areas. Confine the list of suspects to those who had access to that area - i.e. baggage handlers, cargo loaders at both departure and arrival airports (Milan and Tel Aviv). Doesn't say much for El Al security.
