61. Wine
Edward and Natalie ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.15.06)
Clearly B. Michael has not tasted the Cabernet Sauvignon 2000 from the Margalit winery although seemingly he has tasted horse urine. Next time I will be more careful Michael.
62. Guns and Irises
Nicholas Trompeter ,   Kfar Saba   (11.15.06)
There is currently no debate about which gun is most suited to the killing of an Arab. The M15 Assault Rifle seems adequate.
63. Burglar
Nate Dogg ,   TA   (11.15.06)
You don't like it here very much do you Michael?
64. The author is still frustrated by the Parade
Joel ,   New York   (11.15.06)
So yes indeed they moved the parade 2 miles from the center. Bu8t does this mean we are full of hate? We actually let the parade go on in the holy city. This just proves how open minded we are, which i think is a sign of total disrespect towards religion. Yes, civilians were killed in Beit hanoun, but yet again yesterday another rocket fell in Sderot. But i geuss the author is right we are illeterate, uneducated and filled with hate. Well Michael take a look arround and tell me in the parade could have passed in the Vatican or at the Mecca? Tell me did you hear Arab countries consult together a bring a condemnation to the UN for yesterdays fatality due toa qasam? Oh and by the way you insist as labeling us as mysogenist well, look at how many women we have in our Govmnt or better yet tell me wich country ever had the first women prime mimister? Now its obvious u hate ur country but instead of focusing on the negative look back at we do allow in our society.
65. ?
Sam ,   US and A US and A   (11.15.06)
Who cares what the author thinks, he's not even a good writer. This article is mediocre at best.
66. re-Jerome, Colorado
Hanna Fraenkel ,   London; UK   (11.15.06)
I wonder whether Jerome has ever visited the Palestinian Territories-or what's left of them. There are also plenty of Palestinians in the US. Bsfore making his racist comment, he should inform himself. The author of the piece is at least Israeli and knows what he's talking about, all that Jerome has to go on are his prejudices.
67. What an empty-headed, pointless article!
SR ,   NYC   (11.18.06)
It appears that in order to write for Yediot Ahoronot - just like in Ha'aretz - one needs "protekzia". I can't think of any other reason why an ostensibly professional news outlet would publish such juvenile drivel.
68. Agree, but with qualifications
C ,   London, UK   (11.19.06)
It's pretty clear that Israel is an apartheid state - the arguments for this are well-rehearsed and I won't go over them again. However, there's a real risk that the author of this article starts to "rabbis feed their cattle strange crackers during the month of March, so that their milk can be consumed in April…" Righ
69. #68, Israel is not an Apartheid state
Michaela ,   Netivot, Israel   (11.20.06)
Today, within Israel, Jews are a majority, but the Arab minority are full citizens with voting rights and representation in the government. Under apartheid black South Africans could not vote and were not citizens of the country in which they are the overwhelming majority of the population. Palestinians from the territories are allowed to work in Israel and receive similar pay and benefits to their Jewish counterparts. They are allowed to attend schools and universities. Palestinians have been given opportunities to run many of their own affairs. None of this was true for South African blacks.
70. #68
SR- ,   NYC   (11.20.06)
I love it when some putz from London or elsewhere in Europe starts flippantly spewing nonsense about Israel that is so au courant in the leftish circles there. How soon they forget that it is their Great Game that made Middle East what it is today `and their ghettoes, pogroms and concentration camps that logically led to Zionism and to eventual re-creation of Israel. It would be very ironic if C from London got his arse blown off while riding a doubledecker during a the next "martyrdom operation" in the center of London, by one of his Muslim "compatriots"
71. #70, very well said - could not have said it better myself
Michaela ,   Netivot, Israel   (11.20.06)
72. Borat
Tom Knöpfelmacher ,   London and Ramallah   (11.22.06)
B.Michael has,of anything, underplayed the Israel comparison. I am sure that Borat nee Cohen would agree. Has anyone asked him?
