Thank goodness, a cease fire happened... This reminds me of the inner turmoil that happens after a heartbreak: You start to doubt a certain part of you, and even argue with yourself. You maybe then will blame yourself for the break up (even if it wasn't you) Some people (not me) even result in mass depression, and hurt themselves. In the end though, you find peace in your heart. You start to love yourself again, and maybe even forgive you ex lover. Maybe, metaphorically, this will happen with PA and Isreal. Maybe they will heal and forgive each other... Just maybe, we can all only hope!

You need to get your facts straight . If you want to blame Israeli "occupation" for all palestinian ills, you could only do so for 37 years not 58 years unless you consider all israel to be 'occupied' but then the last 37 years have been the result of arab aggression and israeli defence against such aggression.

They have been given large amounts of money, opportunity for peace with Israel, they have been offered land (including jerusalem under Bill Clinton), they were given ready made business (greenhouses in Gaza), Agriculture training, Red cross + UN humanatrian assistance, Security training + weapons (from Israel and US), Unlimited + unprecendeted Media coverage, unanimous world support (see UN votes for PA), they were given monitored without any external interference democratic elections......They were given everything possible the world has to offer under the sun and this is what it has come to. They can't even co-ordinate their attacks against "Israel" anymore, forgot about worrying about a ceasfire with Israel they can't even hold up a cease fire amongst themselves. These people aren't capable of creating a state for themselves it would only implode. They have no chance to make it alone, they will only squander any assistance given and keep on killing eachother as long as they have access to arms and then with sticks and stones. The only solution is taking down this rabid diseased dog. Cut it in half, Israel doesn't need the headache they have enough to deal with on the northern border. Gaza or whats left of it should be returned to Egypt and parts of the west bank to jordan. No more Hamas, Abbas, Fatah. The arabs know exactly how to deal with arabs. Look how Jordon brought quiet to his kingdom. After that you focus on strengthening the borders and under Jordon rule you won't hear a peep. You can even elect Abbas as mayor of West Bank if he behaves.
