In addition to asking why it took Israel 60 years to provide for the prayer needs of its Muslim citizens (and I don't have a problem with Israel providing such a facility) you might also do well to ask why, when Saddam Hussein was threatening to invade Saudi Arabia, the American Jewish soldiers who were there to prevent that from happening, couldn't even celebrate their holidays out in the open?

Do you think you can put in a good word in saudi arabia, jordan, lebanon that us Christians can have a chapel to go to pray? It is not fair to give to one and not the other. Be Fair and be reasonable!

In march from this year i was in BG airport to take a plane . Nothing what you describe as the rule in security happened to me . NOTHING . I every country people with a "wrong" face are checked more closely . Not only here , but on other borders , in streets and so on . Nothing to do , they are more suspect , they have to understand this .

Muslims complain they are "humiliated" when a woman is asked to remove her burqa so that they can check that her face matches the photo ID on her passport. Last year a wanted terrorist went straight through security at Heathrow wearing a burqa and no one stopped him because they were afraid to "humiliate" a Muslim.

Maybe it depends on the Airport in Chicago O'Hare, Midway and Saratoga they ask you to take your shoes off and I mean everybody including young children ( my daughter is 4 years old). The only thing is that they don't shove a wand in your face but if you walk through the detecters and it goes off, its your belt and other items. Its sad but its true.

This is being done to improve relationships with the Arabs? When will Israel and other nations around the world realize that it is impossible to improve relations with the Muslim Arabs? The Muslims do not want to improve relations. They want to destroy Israel and all of the nations that support Israel. That is their goal and they laugh when people try to make friends with them. They laugh because who would be foolish enough to try to befriend those who are trying to kill you? Keep pretending that the Arabs are your friends and the nation of Israel will cease to exist. It is already well on its way to being destroyed and a lot of the reasons are actions by the Israelis themselves.

The big difference between the Israeli town of Elath and the Egyptian resort of Taba [ build by Israelis ! ] is that this second one belongs to the Sinai , Egyptian territory . Elat , even if it had an arab name , was NEVER Egyptian .

Where did you take that they are my friends ? You probably call everyone who dislike you , their friends . Are you cut in two parts that you live in Tel Aviv and abroad . Do not call me Dear , not yours in any case , your IQ is too low for me

i refered to your # 47 , first part , taking off your shoes and so . And this did not happen at BG airport , certainly not if you are a Jewish Israeli . I did not talk about a burka , never seen such clothes [ ? ] at BG .

This belt story happened to me too . Listen , all those security checkings give you a certain good feeling . No danger to be blown up . That's why i always try to fly EL AL . Even abroad [ where i have been ] they have Israeli security people . Not the same checkings when leaving this airport with another airline , are done by locals .

I was just about to raise hell with some travel agency for peddling Jewish vacation trips to a Jewish resort, when it's, in fact, Egyptian. All I wanted was the Taxi service, not an international incident. :-)

A square bowl was 'shoved' at me, for my shoes. The wand was used (and it is used in two local malls).I had my own little 'mei eden' bottle. 'Get rid of that ' she hollared. 'It's empty' I hollared back.'Ok then' she roared.( I re-filled it up soon after that, in the lounge.) Routine EL AL security check, absolutely NOTHING wrong with it. Brisk and efficient, just as it should be.Three cheers for El Al. The 'other' queues were much slower and much longer. P.S. El Al got its passengers home for Shabbat/Shabbos TONIGHT, because THEY CARE, others stuck in Heathrow, with the 'other' airline. No flights out tomorrow. Plenty of kippot wearers on the plane, the usual crowd coming home for Shabbat, but no chareidi looking chassidim. Take a look at Heathrow on Sky News, and realize why I say I LOVE YOU EL AL AND THANK YOU.

as far as I know there are many chuches in Jordan and Lebanon.. (especially Lebanon).. Saudi Arabia.. you're right it discriminates non-Muslims..... and I happen to be against Saudi Arabia in many things.. I don't see think it is adequate to be representing Islam in most of its laws..

Mohamed Gamal Arafa wrote on January 29, 2005 : But the facts show, however, that Cairo is still looking for the restoration of Umm Rashrash as Egyptian territory, it does not recognize it as Israeli territory. The Egyptian press sources published in 2000 that the Egyptian Foreign Ministry sent a formal protest to the British Foreign Ministry for allegations mentioned in old documents released by the British authorities indicating that Egypt has, during the rule of former President Abdel Nasser, given upUmm Rashrash (Eilat port now). But the problem is that at the time the Zionists outbid in all big and small on Egypt, and bargain even the remains of soldiers killed in the Zionitic raids on the land of Egypt in the 1960s and 1970s. Egypt do not follow their style by waving the file of Umm Rashrash. The issue of Egyptian POWs who had been killed by generals and the occupation soldiers in the wars of 56 and 67 remains until now pending, and is not being heating file from time to time. When does the issue of Umm Rashrash become a strong bargaining chip? http://www.almoslim.net/print.cfm?artid=721

Why is the IAA bowing to pressure from the same group that is responsible for murdering innocent Brits? These groups should be the ones attempting to bridge gaps and to CONDEMN all terrorist acts. Where is the muslim outrage??!!

They also ripped the covers off of the romance novels that Harlequin donated to the WACs. Harlequin romances, where the girl has to be a virigin and nothing more happens than a kiss! I could tell you a long story about American officers I ran into eating pork ribs and drinking beer at a restaurant here before the first Gulf war -- no such goodies in S.A., so they were sent here to enjoy their R+R

I'm sure you have an interesting story to tell and I know how grateful American soldiers and sailors are to have Israel to go to when they're serving in the Middle East with all the restrictions imposed on them by the Arab countries. And while I don't have a problem with eating pork, I can accept the fact that it's a big no-no in Saudi Arabia, but what I found particularly galling was the fact that our soldiers, who were there protecting the Saudis' asses from Saddam Hussein, had to hide any outward signs of their religion like a cross or Star of David, or had to celebrate their holidays in secret so as not to offend the Saudis. But, as far as I'm concerned, as an American, I find Saudi Arabia itself to be pretty damned offensive.
